Re: Mafia 88: Murder at the Meadery - GAME THREAD
I guess it has to be this way, then.
It certainly can't be Bozo; so I was wrong about that.
If Sweet has pulled the wool over our eyes it would be quite an impressive feat.
If Sweet is the Cop and has managed to live to endgame, it is quite an impressive feat too.
Either way, well played, Sweet.

My words are sincere. With your guilty claim on KOTP, you are either the real Cop, and in which case you've played a fantastic long game, OR you are the final scum, in which case you've played a fantastic long game.sweetandcool wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2024 9:23 amThank you for the kind words and the vote of confidence.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2024 9:11 amI guess it has to be this way, then.

I strongly assume it is the former and you are the CopClerk, because:
- I know I am not the Cop
- If Bozo was the Cop he would CC you here.
- If KOTP was the Cop he should have claimed yesterday when we gave him the specific opportunity to do so.
So either you are genuine in your claim, or the real Cop has made a serious mistake.
The only person you're truly competing against, Wesley, is yourself.

Bozo, you can feel free to endvote here. We're all done, I think.
(And in future Bozo please don't behave like such a weirdo when you are on the same team as me).

Re: Mafia 88: Murder at the Meadery - GAME THREAD
Yeah, y’all got me. I’m not going to dilly dally any longer. School year is ending, and I have to lock in HARD to get some grades up. I don’t see an out here for myself either. I’m not sure if this is bad etiquette or something (always fight on, etc.), but as I said, I don’t see an out. Well played sweet, ngl I wanted to NK you the past 2 nights, but for various reasons I hesitated and shot someone else. Overall though, first game as mafia was pretty fun!
A few points and things I want to say before I go: sorry vecna/rdr for breaking your scum team streak, if I’d been more active previously and/or made the correct NK shots we probably could’ve won. Sorry will for the early bus, that was honestly a bit demoralizing, at least for me. Contrary to what it seems everyone thought, we (mafia) did not know who the GF was, so rdr and I just bussed will without knowing he was our GF lol.
Not quite going to concede, I’ll go out on a vote >:3. As a slight callback to my day 1 bit: it seems I have been caught venting… alas, orange (random color) was too elusive, and dodged my kill attempts. The emergency meeting has been called… and I am ejected. king of the pirates was An Imposter. 0 Imposters remain. DEFEAT/VICTORY (depending on mafia/town)
Thank you all for a great game, and I’ll see you guys on the other side. Probably going to take a small break from the forums all together. Until we meet again… KOTP out!

Well played Pirate! It's telling that you essentially had to be caught by process of elimination. But yeah, even without the scan I was pretty locked into voting you because you were the only one who made sense to me as the final Mafia. You should've tried your luck with keeping Bona around :Dkingofthepirates wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2024 11:15 amYeah, y’all got me. I’m not going to dilly dally any longer. Re: Mafia 88: Murder at the Meadery - GAME THREAD
Harden Half-There had been the Clerk of the meadery for going on 30 years. No one had felt the betrayal of the Foreman so strongly as he. He had devoted his life to paperwork. Harden believed that thorough record keeping could save money and ease the work of his fellow Dwarves.
He had spent his nights toiling through the filing cabinets in the basement, looking for records. He had, one by one, found falsified paperwork and slowly rooted out the corruption in the meadery. And today, with Qarl Thrush's hanging, he had succeeded.
He and the other two remaining workers, Dorgen the Drunk and Jarrel the Jester, informed the guards that the conspiracy had been thwarted, and that they had paperwork to prove it! Once a guard who could read was found, the doors were unlocked and the troubles had ended. The three survivors went home to mourn and celebrate...
--- --- ---
Days later, the meadery is still closed. No one is around to see the elderly Dragonborn walking the halls and cleaning blood stains with a wave of his hand and some basic magic. He looks around, writing notes in a small notebook he carries with him.
When he is finished, he makes his way to the barrel maker's room and pushes on a screw holding a hook in place. A dull click can be heard, and then the Dragonborn twists the hook around until a louder noise gives way to the sounds of chains and gears. A section of the floor opens up next to him, and stairs are revealed.
He makes his way down the stairs, eventually reaching a large cavernous room with water at the far end - an underground cavern, connecting to somewhere unknown. Glimmers of light and gold come from all around, and in the dark two large red eyes can be seen. A puff of smoke comes out of the dark toward the small candle the Dragonborn has lit.
"Everything above looks to be in good order, " says the Dragonborn. "It looks like a few of your workers proved to be quite resourceful."
A deep laugh comes from the figure in the darkness. The dragon Smog's head extends out of the darkness with a wide, toothed grin.
"Let's give them another 25 years or so before we test them again," he said with a deep, wicked laugh.

dilly dilly!
Well, I grew up in the fallout from the riots in the '90s
Static cranes stand lifeless, castin' shadows on the town
I stare out that hallowed ocean as if to pick a fight
For thе dreams my old man dreamt for me lay on thе other side, yeah
