This here is a dedicated, stand-along post added for the sole purpose of expressing my immense gratitude to the one and only Bonatogether for his contributions in pointing out the errors of my LOTR referencing ways and helping guide me to an honorable sepukku.

My fuel against Koala is that they seem to be doing exactly that against Bonatogether (in addition to other Koala behaviours). Bonatogether made a well thought out post and Koala just hand waved it away. They have not substantially made any argument as to why they are not Mafia. The fact that they pushed against me is irrelevant, especially since I have agreed with the base of their argument that newness should not be a shield against suspicion.

Hi sweetandcool, you keep coming back to the same point over multiple posts, so let me clarify my play-style for you in case it's helpful.

I will always practice what I preach and respond to any direct questions directed at me – if you (or Bona, or whomever) have something you'd like to ask me, please ask and I will promise to address to the best of my ability.

For a general case-making against myself though, nope I really don't care to defend. You will not see me spending time professing my innocence (really, you expected me to, after attempting to suicide D1?) ... I rather spend my precious time hunting real Mafias. It's like in sports, best teams have specialists – you need a striker and you need a goalie. When I play basketball I always defend and do it well, but I'm crap dribbler and a crap shot.

Here, I prefer to focus my time on going after suspects and generating content or discussion to put them through the ringer.


Now, I realize that may not be what you hope to see from me. But I read these very wise words somewhere recently...

To answer the Why – to put you through the ringer of the Inquisition / pressure in front of everyone and see how you react. So in case I end up getting MK-ed today, the Town will have more data-points of your behavior to evaluate you against with the newfound knowledge of "Koala flipped Town"

Let me be so bold as to put forward a definition we can mutually agree on:

to "stake" a wagon would imply ACTIVELY pushing arguments against someone to drum up votes against them. This also implies reinserting arguments against that same person into discussions if your arguments get buried under a mountain of shitposts.

This is why President Eden is actually tied with Koala as my number one suspect. When I was suspecting Fox, they swooped in and encouraged that. Then, somewhere along the line, I swear they did the same thing with damo, but I can't find it. And now they are supporting a push for Chaqa.

Kind of seems like they are happily encouraging momentum against different people without actually providing much original thought. Nobody suspects them because people feel happy to be validated by them.

This is exactly my point, thanks for the help!. Your attack on Foxcastle is the exception that actually proves the rule. It was only after you were confident you can hide in the midst of a bunch of townies that you decided to target foxcastle.

Also you only "committed" to an anti-foxcastle wagon because Fox raised (justifiable) concerns about you. Doubtless, you would've just hid behind the townies had Fox not actively perused you (like a... fox... get it?)
