Game won by FlemGem (1297 D)
15 Aug 12 UTC Spring, 1901: Good luck to all!
15 Aug 12 UTC Spring, 1901: Agreed good luck to all.
16 Aug 12 UTC Autumn, 1901: if turkey misses a second straight turn then i think we need to cancel. if he plays then obviously we keep going.
17 Aug 12 UTC Autumn, 1901: Why cancel?
17 Aug 12 UTC Autumn, 1901: bc turkey is an important nation in this game......
17 Aug 12 UTC Autumn, 1901: Ok, then I leave forever, because I'm astoundingly incompetent and plain dumb. Goodbye, folks, I'd better play Simcity.
19 Aug 12 UTC Autumn, 1902: if austria and turkey both cd then we should officially cancel.
19 Aug 12 UTC Autumn, 1902: ahh, glad to see Austria back.
19 Aug 12 UTC Autumn, 1902: yeah absolutely.
23 Aug 12 UTC Spring, 1905: Atleast I wasn't the first to go I guess.
Lesson learnt: don't ever join in on a sealion.
23 Aug 12 UTC Spring, 1905: no russia a sealion is smart for russians to do because it gave you scandinavia. your mistake was taking advantage of a nonexistant turkey and getting 3 builds in year one. Everyone on the board viewed you as a threat. in diplomacy a friendly russia is always good for the russian player because if you try and become a power too fast you just get dominated out of fear.
23 Aug 12 UTC Spring, 1905: unfortunately for you me and germany and I have a solid alliance so when you asked me to stab him I refused.
23 Aug 12 UTC Spring, 1905: unfortunately for you me and germany and I have a solid alliance so when you asked me to stab him I refused.
23 Aug 12 UTC Spring, 1905: me and germany and I lol typo.
29 Aug 12 UTC Autumn, 1906: sorry guys missed a phase. wont happen again.
30 Aug 12 UTC Spring, 1907: Hey guys, who wants to just draw?
30 Aug 12 UTC Spring, 1907: Wow, look who just ordered Livonia-St Pt instead of to Moscow...colossal blunder.
03 Sep 12 UTC Spring, 1909: it appears that the person i fight against is the one who is gonna finish in second place.I am gonna vote draw. Think logically. finishing second in this game is gonna suck when that player gets nothing.
03 Sep 12 UTC Spring, 1909: What do you think, Austria? Three-way draw, or fight to the finish?
04 Sep 12 UTC Spring, 1909: Austria-Germany kill France, either one of you wins or 2-way draw..eitherway better than 3-way draw
04 Sep 12 UTC Spring, 1909: cant happen russia. in order for me to die out that would involve one of them winning, most likely germany. austria cant risk working with germany to take me out bc then germany can easily just push for a solo.
04 Sep 12 UTC Spring, 1909: Do it anyway, In the time it takes for germany to take 3 centres from you, Austria can push for Rome/Naples and Tunis which gives him more points than if you are alive, and if they manage to eliminate you in the turn in which Germany wins, points will probably be:
germany 38
austria 32
which is better than 23 if they 3-way draw this.
05 Sep 12 UTC Spring, 1909: France, I will support you from Burgundy to Marseilles. If you cut the support from Spain it will be yours again.
05 Sep 12 UTC Spring, 1909: I love how this is turning into a public press game :-)
05 Sep 12 UTC Autumn, 1909: i still think a draw is better and to answer russias point.....no france will not do better with me gone bc the only center he can realistically take from me is tunis......and thats it. germany would take everything else including probably an austrian center or two which would actually lower austrias point distribution. russias premise is based on the fact that both germany and austria gain equally which is not going to happen considering many of my centers are only accessible to germany.
05 Sep 12 UTC Autumn, 1909: *austria will not do better with me gone....
05 Sep 12 UTC Autumn, 1909: Whatever... I'm supporting you to Marseilles if you want.
06 Sep 12 UTC Autumn, 1909: I want Austria to win to prove to Germany that stabbing doesn't guarantee a win and to teach France that letting your ally get big only makes them backstab you.
06 Sep 12 UTC Autumn, 1909: I stabbed France because he missed a turn, just so you know.
06 Sep 12 UTC Autumn, 1909: I thank your support, Russia, but this game is for Germany.
07 Sep 12 UTC Autumn, 1909: russia i worked with germany very well and he took advantage of me missing....based on how the turns were going before i missed i could have actually taken him over.....i unfortunately missed a phase bc i was busy and he took advantage.
07 Sep 12 UTC Autumn, 1909: i personally wasnt too impressed with him considering in the beginning I basically suggested most of his moves and he kept building fleets....i wouldve probably stabbed him a turn or 2 after i missed.
07 Sep 12 UTC Spring, 1910: also austria......germany winning is just as much your play.....you chose to make life difficult for me instead of germany despite the fact he moved on you and even now you are letting him solo.......you have just been support holding armies instead of pushing forward......you own the important areas to give you an advantage in bohemia tyrolia galicia and ukraine.......you shouldve been able to push on him before getting those builds......
07 Sep 12 UTC Spring, 1910: I'd like to point out a few things, just because I'm a nice guy and I like helping other people learn from past mistakes just as I appreciate learning from my own mistakes.

France, you may not have been impressed with me from the beginning - and that is exactly how I planned things. I asked you lots of questions, asked for advice etc., kissed up to you and followed your advice. Not that it was bad advice, but you never told me anything I hadn't already planned to do. Except for the fleets which you told me not to build, but look! It's my fleets that allowed me to strike England and control the North Sea!
You would NOT have stabbed me a turn or two after you missed, because I was prepared for a stab and, in fact, I was the one in the position to stab. I would not have stabbed except that your miss gave me the opportunity. So, my friend, my perspective is different than yours....from my side it looks like I played you like a fiddle.

As to Austria, I honestly think he played a better over-all game than me, but France's missed turns benefited me much more.
08 Sep 12 UTC France, if you move Marseilles to Spain, with support from West Med and Mao, you'll take it.
