16 Feb 09 UTC Spring, 1903: Andrew, did you get involved in another game?
16 Feb 09 UTC Spring, 1903: two
16 Feb 09 UTC Spring, 1903: Awesome stuff. I am glad people are getting into this thing!
16 Feb 09 UTC Spring, 1903: you would be.
17 Feb 09 UTC Spring, 1903: only 220 minutes left!
17 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1903: so I realize Joe, D-ball and myself are getting owned, so you can disregard this as pleaing if you want to, but you guys do realize that once Joe, D-ball and myself are gone, Tom will be unstopable due to his northern fleet and instant access to Belgium, Holland, Kiel and Brest?
Just making the observation for everyone.
17 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1903: Duly noted
17 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1903: Also I will be weak/dead once Joe, D-ball, and Andrew/myself are gone leaving a empty space in the south.
17 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1903: No Jason, it won't be empty. Tom will occupy it while his allies watch he instantaneously get the necessary amount of supply centers to win.
17 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1903: he*=him
17 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1903: Don't forget Berlin--he should be able to sweep that up fairly easily as well.
17 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1903: Perhaps everyone could just quit wasting their time bitching and being pussies and use that time to out strategize their adversary. To me, that seems like a more entertaining and intellectual use of our time.
17 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1903: "No man is an island." Except for me. I am England. Fear me.
17 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1903: we have 24 hours to make orders and develop a strategy. I think my use of 5 minutes to point out an observation was more than worth it.
17 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1903: Keep fighting amongst yourselves. It makes my scheme all the more sweeter.
18 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1903: There is no 'bitching' here and no one is being 'pussies' (by the way, such language is prohibited on this website and counterproductive to any useful conversation).
The fact is that France and Germany have stalemated along the Western Theater with the Austrian-Russian-Italian Alliance, while Tom becomes more and more powerful. Tom may have promised France and Germany what is called an "Allied Victory". Such a victory can only be obtained with mutual consent of all remaining players to end the game. So obviously Austria, Italy, Russia, and Turkey will have to be completely destroyed before an allied victory can be declared.

Now, it doesn't take much to see that Germany and France will not make significant gains on the map against Austria and France. Russia will fall, it will only be a matter of time. Tom will collect the remains. Austria and Italy will collapse and hold defensively. Tom will likely pick away at Turkey and eventually Austria and Italy will fall from the East.

If Tom, whether he wants to or not, gains 18 supply centers in the process of destroying these countries, he will win. There is no way around that.

So I guess to you guys who are holding out for that Allied Victory that Tom promises; can you really be sure that Tom is in the position to guarantee this? Even if he stays true to his word (and I wouldn't if I was as powerful as him) he may end up winning before an allied victory can be declared.

No, I am not moaning or gripping about the outcome of this game. I would just advise France and Germany to think about their alliance.
18 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1903: So is this a warning not to ally with you next game, Damian: "Even if he stays true to his word (and I wouldn't if I was as powerful as him)"?
18 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1903: Another note: for Tom to get 18 supply centers, he would have to take:
Moscow
Sevastopol
Ankara
Smyrna
Constantinople
Bulgaria
Greece
Bulgaria
Romania
Budapest
Trieste
(or another equal amount of areas).

Am I really so bad that I can't take more than 2 of the supply centers next to me?
18 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1903: On an unrelated topic, Dream Theater will be headlining the Gods of Metal concert in Milan on June 28th (Blind Guardian plays after them, Damian).

I will be in Italy at this time!

I am currently in negotiations with Dani about making a detour to Milan - seems like a perfect honeymoon activity to me.
18 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1903: I apologize for my language, clearly you are the bigger men. As my reply I say this. There is no convincing me of switching allegiance.
18 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1903: Jason wins the round, in my opinion. Yet again, he spits in the face of the odds arrayed against him with his strategic scrappiness.
18 Feb 09 UTC Spring, 1904: Hooray for Turkish proteins!
18 Feb 09 UTC Spring, 1904: I agree! Kudos to Protein!
21 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1905: May Russia rest in peace.
23 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: May the Axis of Evil rest in peace.
23 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: wait... am I not part of the Axis of Evil? Oh no!
24 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: tying is like kissing your sister....we don't do incest here in Italy
Well, we might now that France is here
24 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: Oh please, Italy is like the Arkansas of Europe!
26 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1907: Protein, if you moved A Smy - Con, F Con - Ank, and A Arm - Smy, you would be right back where you started.
26 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1907: What more is Turkey than Thanksgiving dinner's main dish anyways?
26 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1907: This map reminds me of neopolitan icecream
26 Feb 09 UTC Spring, 1908: Does that mean that I am vanilla...or can I be some exciting unknown flavor?
27 Feb 09 UTC Spring, 1908: that means you are some unknown flavor of ice cream.
27 Feb 09 UTC Spring, 1908: Well Boys. We had a good run while it lasted. I only ask that you leave the vineyards untouched and eat meatballs while you occupy my country.

-Italy out.
27 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1908: Fettuccine for everyone!! Ciao Italia!!
02 Mar 09 UTC Spring, 1910: I see but only that of my own death. But who really likes Turkey anyway.
02 Mar 09 UTC Spring, 1910: roast beef > turkey, in my opinion
02 Mar 09 UTC Spring, 1910: I like turkey, but Turkey is much different. Not a fan!
02 Mar 09 UTC Spring, 1910: Turkey trumps roast beef.......only on thanksgiving and how that is currently many months away I'm screwed.
02 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1910: I think you're more of a Turduckin!
03 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1910: A slow one at that...
04 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1910: Turkey (or insert any other middle-eastern country to your liking here) in civil disorder? How unimagineable!
