18 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1902: france, your incursions on italian territory in violation of our agreed DMZ is completely unacceptable. remove your forces immediately.
24 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1904: question for yall - how come rom-tus was not successful? pie-ven cut support from ven, but support from tyr was not cut, so should rom-tus be successful? is there something i'm missing?
24 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1904: You entered the order wrong. You put:
The fleet at Tyrrhenian Sea support move to Tuscany from Venice.
You should have put to Tuscany from Rome. :-)
24 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1904: LOLZ thanks thymin. my B!
24 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1904: no prob.
13 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1912: hey germany, just out of curiosity, are you and tshadle22 and nshadle19 all related? such a unique last name...
13 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1912: yeah we are brothers.
13 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1912: don't let them meta- you ;)
13 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1912: wow that's hilarious. did yall grow up playing the game together?
13 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1912: yeah. I mean we didn't play a ton, but every few years we'd get the game out and spend a saturday playing with our dad and a few cousins. Always a great time.
13 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1912: that's so cute!!!!
13 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1912: cute? We are definitely no longer children, but I suppose "cute" is a servicable word for family game time ;)
14 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1912: yeah, i meant as children the whole fam playing this cutthroat game together. did not mean it at all in a derogatory way, only in the highest praise. =)
15 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1913: it's not that "cutthroat" when going for a 17-17 draw in a WTA ;)
15 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1913: what does it matter that it's WTA? and anyway, you don't know that's what's happening - we re going to duke it out once you are eliminated =)
15 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1913: I guess it just spoils the fact that it IS s WTA. This has turned into a team game, one for points, rather than a true WTA, or your alliance wouldn't be so ironclad. You are both "winners" so it's not really a WTA.
15 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1913: Ironclad? It's a working alliance. That's all. You created the 'team' dynamic by forming F/G/E. I was all set to kill Austria before then :P There can only be one winner in a WTA.
15 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1913: let's just finish this real quick since we're all logged on.
15 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1913: well i don't see it that way, but you're certainly entitled to your opinion. which no doubt is affected by your position in the game. but you have played quite well, so no need to be sore.
15 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1913: sounds good.
15 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1913: Then why isn't Russia stabbing Italy while Germany is still there as an ally - given any likely scenario apart from an agreed 17-17, Italy will get to 18 much more easily than Russia.
15 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1913: I agree...bartdogg has played one hell of a game considering.
15 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1913: we'll see. If one of you takes the win and you don't go down to a 17-17 draw than I'll believe you. It would be a stab, nonetheless and one well earned.
15 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1913: we agreed to destroy germany and then fight for 18.
15 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1913: I agree Austria and that's all I was saying. There is some arrangement. Nonetheless I hope someone claims the win.
15 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1913: One of us WILL take the win, I assure you. As you say, whoever does, kudos.
15 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1913: agreed.
15 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1913: isn't obvious who would win in that scenario?
15 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1913: "isn't it obvious?"
15 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1913: I guess I just don't see why you should remain allied until the 3rd member is dead. The only motive I could come up with is to set up future games you may play with each other, which is a no-no. Help?
15 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1913: Why would Italy not just take belgium (since I've been leaving it open for her to take) and grab liverpool and be done with it?
15 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1913: I hadn't thought that much about it to be honest. I was behind in centres, and I'm sure you recall when there was some tension and a potential stab. I stuck with Italy on the promise that they would not go for the win until I was level in centres. France collapsed quickly, which meant the only way I could be level in centres was to conquer Germany. Essentially stabs were bribed away. Make sense now?
15 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1913: b/c if i do, russia stops attacking you, both of you attack me, and russia wins. and i don't want russia to win. i want to win.
15 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1913: exactly. there's no need for ridiculous accusations of meta-gaming.
15 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1913: ok. I'm comfortable with those.
15 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1913: Hold the phone I'm not accusing anything. Though you have to admit it looks funny, mostly from Italy's side. Why not grab belgium and make a move for rumania last phase? Why hold this agreement through to the end and put the win at risk when it's yours for the taking? I'm confident you're not meta-gaming, but you should've made those moves.
15 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1913: i'm glad b/c it definitely sucks there's more acrimony than necessary.
15 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1913: Germany...shhh :D
15 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1913: well i'm cetainly guilty of being honorable of my word in this alliance rather than diabolically shrewd. that i can agree with. and it felt like an accusation, so i'm glad it wasn't =)
15 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1913: lol
15 Mar 09 UTC Spring, 1914: oh yeah, if anyone is dragging this out, it's you germany! stop making such clever moves! lol
15 Mar 09 UTC Spring, 1914: ;) trying to survive... I feel like Chewbacca stuck in the trash compactor. aaahhhhh.
15 Mar 09 UTC Spring, 1914: ok. I've got to run. Been a good game.
15 Mar 09 UTC Spring, 1914: I agree. Well played sir!
15 Mar 09 UTC Spring, 1914: and brilliant effort on the diplomatic front - i almost took your advice on lvp and bel :P
15 Mar 09 UTC great game all, hope to see you again in another game.
