23 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: Oh and BTW, my soldiers are defecating in the canals of Venice as we speak. Enjoy! :)
23 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: i hear paris is beautiful in the spring -- i think we'll take it then.... spring of 1908, or 1909 maybe...
23 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: I hear Budapest is ugly all year round. You can keep it.
23 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: Them some serious fightin' wurds.
24 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: Lets try to get at least one move per day in, except for the weekends... and not just because I'm anxious to see Paris this week.
24 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: Don't look at me, I'm already finalized. Talk to your puppets, Italy and Turkey. :)
24 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: I think I'm detecting a note of bitterness... first defecating in the canals of Venice, and now insulting the brave coalition soldiers of Italy and turkey...

In fact your brief foray into Italy reminds me of the Napoleonic invasion and subsequent defeat in Russia.

"The victory over the French army in 1812 marked a huge blow to Napoleon's ambitions of European dominance. This war was the reason the other coalition allies triumphed once and for all over Napoleon. His army was shattered, and morale was low, both for French troops still in Russia [Italy], fighting battles just before the campaign ended, and for the troops on other fronts. The Russian [Italian] campaign was the decisive turning-point of the Napoleonic Wars that ultimately led to Napoleon's defeat and exile on the island of Elba"...
24 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: Ironically Elba is just off the coast of Tuscany...
24 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: You know, Austria, there's no reason why we can't settle this like civilized gentlemen...with a gentlemen's duel, of course. We should pick a neutral site (Apulia?), meet at dawn with one army each, and duke it out mano-a-mano. Winner gets Europe.
24 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: I'm with Greg, In that, I'd like to see a move a day (at least during the week). It's the waiting that I can't stand!
24 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: venice is such a lovely shade of gold in the fall...
24 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: Yeah, I had my soldiers give the place a golden shower, too, as they departed. :)
24 Feb 09 UTC Spring, 1907: So, now that you've successfully kicked me out of Italy, you realize, of course, that the *benevolent* thing to do would be to return the country to its people. Remaining there as an occupying foreign power could sow the seeds of unrest...and take it from me, Italy cannot be trusted. ;)
24 Feb 09 UTC Spring, 1907: More boats? Are you fighting a war or opening a cruise line?
24 Feb 09 UTC Spring, 1907: Why, are you shopping for a vacation? I'd be happy to accommodate you. I can charter a nice big ship for all your troops...yep, all of them...grouped together in one place...having a great time, making lots of noise, so that nobody can hear that ticking sound...
24 Feb 09 UTC Spring, 1907: How rude of me...the offer is of course open to Turkaly's troops as well. All soldiers of Austurkaly are more than welcome on the floating time-bo... ...time-box! Yeah, time-box...because, um, no vacation can last forever, unfortunately. (Phew...nearly blew it there...no pun intended...)
25 Feb 09 UTC Spring, 1907: its a good idea for you to keep a few boats to make your escape to North America...
25 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1907: Escape? More like conquest. That's where I'm building my empire next...once I'm done eliminating the Austurkalian scourge from Europe, of course.
26 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1908: so that's the way its going to be Germany?

So much for honour and integrity.
26 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1908: Anybody know a good taxidermist? I'm having Russia's head mounted. It's going on my trophy wall, right next to England's. There's still an empty spot, though...
27 Feb 09 UTC Spring, 1909: talk to germany... looks like he's trying to stuff me!

Remind me never to turn my back on the Walrus in the shower...
27 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1909: It's going to be fun being in Berlin for Octoberfest...
28 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1909: haha ... I might be able to join you in Berlin for Octoberfest next year ...
01 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1909: I will buy you a beer and a bratwurst served by a german waiter with an english accent...
02 Mar 09 UTC Spring, 1910: "Remind me never to turn my back on the Walrus in the shower..." that's a little presumptuous of you Mr. Burns! Who says you are my type?
02 Mar 09 UTC Spring, 1910: And as for you bonecollector... You? Make it to Berlin? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
02 Mar 09 UTC Spring, 1910: Must say... the snow on the kremlin is most beautful in the winter
