13 Jan 09 UTC Autumn, 1901: xD You've got it right. People should lighten up. Even a thousand point buy-in is not going to be the end of the world.
13 Jan 09 UTC Autumn, 1901: It might just be the end of Europe though...
13 Jan 09 UTC Autumn, 1901: Nah. It'll still be on the map. Just the better strategist will own most of it. Lol.
13 Jan 09 UTC Autumn, 1901: I would get a little paranoid with a big-point game. Mid-range games are fine with me.
13 Jan 09 UTC Autumn, 1901: Does anyone else think Germany might CD? In his other 36-hour phase game (also his only other game) he already missed one out of two possible turns (luckily no retreats and/or builds to worry about) so his track record isn't good so far. I guess we all need to prepare for some really long turns. Maybe he'll get back to a computer, though, and everything will pick up.
13 Jan 09 UTC Autumn, 1901: Yeah, he might. It's possible to get CD's even in long games like this. It sucks for everyone. :|
14 Jan 09 UTC Autumn, 1901: The wait continues....
16 Jan 09 UTC Autumn, 1901: Anyone want to play predict the builds (for all except your own)? Here goes....
Turkey - F Smy
England - F Lon, F Edi
Germany - no orders will be received
Russia - A Mos, F StP(SC)
France - A Par, F Mar, F Bre
Someone else can go next.
17 Jan 09 UTC Spring, 1902: GameMaster: AausM has taken over Germany.
18 Jan 09 UTC Spring, 1902: Now I'm the one holding people up. I'll try to pick up my pace.
20 Jan 09 UTC Autumn, 1902: Now that the game is going, it's as if no one wants to talk openly. Enjoy the inauguration today for everyone is the US, and everyone else for that matter.
21 Jan 09 UTC Autumn, 1902: I guess we're just not that used to having global chats.
The inauguration was awesome! I particularly liked the poetry.
21 Jan 09 UTC Autumn, 1902: For anyone with a little time between moves, check out www.fantasticcontraption.com. It's a good stress reliever, but it gets challenging and can be addictive.
22 Jan 09 UTC Autumn, 1902: Did anyone check out the contraption web site?
22 Jan 09 UTC Autumn, 1902: I did, lol. I've played it before though. xD
22 Jan 09 UTC Autumn, 1902: If you know of anything similar, let me know.
23 Jan 09 UTC Autumn, 1902: Sure, but i don't. I know of 2flashgames.com though. They've got a bunch of random games of all kinds if you're bored.
23 Jan 09 UTC Autumn, 1902: There could be similar things there. You'd just have to check it out.
23 Jan 09 UTC Autumn, 1902: OK.
18 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1905: GameMaster: ZhuangYH has taken over England.
05 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1907: I'm obviously hoping that it doesn't happen, but let's just say that Russia goes CD. This is, after all, the only game that mach_one_man is currently playing. That will make four CDs so far in this game. It would make the most of any game that I have played in, but I've only played in ten games. Who here has been in a game with a higher number of CD countries?
06 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1907: Not me. I think I've had 2, tops.
08 Mar 09 UTC Spring, 1908: Hello, sorry for the really slow response, I have had a weekend away from home and couldn't reach the internet. I will be back into a more fluid pattern this week. Thanks for waiting!
11 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1908: are Russia and Austria and Turky the same guy?
11 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1908: or friends?
11 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1908: We're not the same person. At least, I'm not.
11 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1908: We just decided to work together very early.
11 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1908: Go back through the game maps. Up until 1904 we were attacking each other. At that point, though, we realized our only chance was to work together. I don't know Russia or Turkey and have never played with them before, but our alliance has been very strong.
11 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1908: ok
thanks
but...it's too strong....
can we work together?
11 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1908: I know that only one person can win the game
two draw the game
how about three?
11 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1908: I believe that more than two people can be involved in a draw.
13 Mar 09 UTC Spring, 1909: What is everyone's opinion of the 72-hour phases. I joined this game because I was still coaching at the time and the extra-long phases gave me plenty of time to communicate and get orders in on time. I had only played 24-hour phase games until this one. I find the extra time helpful, especially since I like to think and communicate a lot. While it does seem slow when I occasionally have my orders in quickly, I find the slow pace very appealing. Any other opinions?
13 Mar 09 UTC Spring, 1909: same here, I work at a boy scout camp on the weekends so I really can't play any other games without having to go CD, so the extra time is very helpful
14 Mar 09 UTC Spring, 1909: Well, it was quite lucky how the timing has worked out here, my internet has been down for the past 2 days and has just come back on again, so I shall be able to place my orders - thanks for waiting again. I think the whole local area was offline, so not much could be done!
15 Mar 09 UTC Spring, 1909: Does anyone else think about the fact that this game is over two months old? I have a communication to Italy from Spring 1901 dated January 9th still on that screen. It's crazy. I think I'll need a break after this game just to unwind.
15 Mar 09 UTC Spring, 1909: wow, really?
15 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1909: Wow that the game is that old or wow that I need to unwind?
27 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1911: both
28 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1911: well good game all
28 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1911: haha
Tired....
31 Mar 09 UTC Autumn, 1912: Here's how slow this game is. VincentL started this game just after joining the site on January 5th. He has since finished eight other games. Amazing.

04 Apr 09 UTC It's been a pleasure to join both of you in this game. This will be my first draw and it has truly been a learning experience for me. I have found as much excitement fighting back from our seemingly hopeless position as I have from any of my wins. Thank you for your support and trust after we formed our alliance.
04 Apr 09 UTC Thank you to you as well Austria, I have had a very enjoyable three months with this game and thanks to you Austria for our peace throughout the game.
04 Apr 09 UTC Yup, fun game. Hope to play with you two again!
