27 Jan 09 UTC Autumn, 1912: Hey guys. If it isn't already apparent from my play in game 5, I really haven't been able to put much time into good diplomacy, at least on the press aspect. Braveheart, I'm sure you want to go for the win, but I don't really want to let that happen, and Centurian doesn't benefit from you winning. If you want to press the issue, by all means go ahead. For my part, however, I would like to end this sooner rather than later.

27 Jan 09 UTC Autumn, 1912: Well I've been basically beaten in this game. Obviously a draw is a good result for me.

28 Jan 09 UTC Autumn, 1913: Braveheart, whadda you say?
29 Jan 09 UTC Autumn, 1913: sorry chaps... going to keep pushing for win for a few more goes at least. nothing worse than ending up on 17!!
29 Jan 09 UTC Autumn, 1913: but i won't keep trying indefinitely... don't sorry!
29 Jan 09 UTC Autumn, 1913: Well that seems fair. Although assuming no NMRs and unswerving loyalty I'm pretty sure we are solid.
29 Jan 09 UTC Autumn, 1913: Feck.... think i misunderstood how the audjudicator would rule that last turn!!
29 Jan 09 UTC Autumn, 1913: Hey guys, here's the deal. I am leaving in 12 hours for a long weekend for a wedding. I will almost certainly be away from a computer for several turns. I really do not want to have to leave this game, and if I had go NMR (as Centurian worried), that would be unfair to both him, me, and the game as a whole.

Braveheart, now that you are back down to 16, can you reconsider the draw? I will be supporting the holds you see in the north indefinitely, so you will not break through up there. As for the south, you could make headway, perhaps, but if France supports my hold in Tyrr, thatis also unbreakable for you at this stage.

My point is, should I be able to reach a computer, the position will remain as it is. I recognize you have more centers, but the stalemate lines are drawn. We've all played a good game, and I would like to see some reward for all for it. I realize I am the one leaving the board, but considering the stage and positioning, I don't think it's unreasonable to ask for the draw.
30 Jan 09 UTC Spring, 1914: happy to pause till you get back. odd that you're not asking for a pause in game 5 though too???

31 Jan 09 UTC Autumn, 1914: Suggest we don't submit moves this turn in case gryncat doesn't login.... Pls confirm. Referring to autumn 1914 (in case you're not sure)
31 Jan 09 UTC Autumn, 1914: Well I wasn't going to attack you anyway, I'll just support hold
31 Jan 09 UTC Autumn, 1914: Done
01 Feb 09 UTC Spring, 1915: same again until Gryncat returns please.
01 Feb 09 UTC Spring, 1915: k
01 Feb 09 UTC Spring, 1915: Yeah, I wasn't thinking about game five. I didn't think the pause would go through before I had to leave. Thanks for waiting. I'll put in holds until the Fall move for this year.
02 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1915: welcome back.... so we're playing properly again now right?
02 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1915: affirmative

Not that it changes anything :)
02 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1915: Yep, back in action.
02 Feb 09 UTC Spring, 1916: I can see what you are trying to do in the med braveheart. If you are lucky you can get Tyrr. But even then you don't get anywhere, but lets says through some sort of error you slip into Tunis.. you STILL don't have 18.
02 Feb 09 UTC Spring, 1916: Braveheart, I too appreciate your fight to the end, and it is good Diplomacy, but I would really like to see this game end, and Centurian's points are good ones. Even if you switch out Pie and get five fleets to make an attack, you can make a long progression of pushing out Tyrr, or Gulf of Lyon. Even if you get both, and then take Tunis, you will have 17, as the north is locked up, and you will need to push for Mar or Spain, which will have too much support.
03 Feb 09 UTC Spring, 1916: There is one minor angle which you have missed in the Med, which i was hoping to exploit.

But Gyrncat, once you're out of game 5 i'll be happy to call this a draw and move on.
03 Feb 09 UTC Spring, 1916: to make things simpler, I'm happy to call an armistice North of Switzerland so none of us make any moves along the Moscow to Tryolia line. Provided Burgundy remains where it is and does not interfere in the Med/Marseille etc.
03 Feb 09 UTC Spring, 1916: I'll be out of game 5 soon enough. I expected to be out once I came back, and was surpirsed it was paused.

Game five really shouldn't weigh on this. It's not a matter of who is winning in the other games, but more a matter of this stalling no matter what happens. It's just delaying.
03 Feb 09 UTC Spring, 1916: Then play on...
03 Feb 09 UTC Autumn, 1916: I'm not willing to agree to not move Burgundy because burgundy doesn't need to support hold munich. Its just waiting for you to agonisingly advance into the med
03 Feb 09 UTC Braveheart, unless I really can't calculate support numbers, I'm pretty sure it is impossible for you to break anywhere. Can we please call this?
