10 Jul 11 UTC Spring, 1901: Welcome aboard everyone. If anyone has questions as to how things work, (e.g. game dynamics), please feel free to post here. Any comedic relief, smack talk, etc, can be posted in the "Global" section as well. Happy hunting!
12 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1901: Seems France is having some phone/internet issues.
13 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1901: Germany feels obligated to issue three proclamations:
1- Public apology to Russia
2- Kudos to Italy, nice start! Nice turn
3- Boo to Austria! You let go of Serbia, costing a build. And supported twice when once was enough. Rookie mistakes!
13 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1901: Ok.... everyone is going to take this as my way of denying responsibility for a stab, but, sincerely, the moves that were made for me this turn were not the moves that I last submitted. I did submit those moves at one point, but then I later changed them and made quite different ones.

Did anybody else have that problem? This is my first game on here so I'm unaware of any quirks in the software or whatever. Is there some trick to ensuring that the latest revision of your moves is what is picked up by the game?

13 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1901: I did not have a problem with mine, though I would note two things:

1. Make absolutely certain that you click save and that the color coding changes on your orders. The order text will change color when you make modifications. (I realize this is effectively the "are you sure it's plugged in" approach to technical support but I'm just mentioning it for completeness.

2. At one point yesterday, I received server errors (500s) while visiting the site. It persisted for several minutes and I wonder if they may have had a database issue and required a subsequent rollback. Perhaps you were the victim of really unlucky timing of when you submitted your final set of orders. Do you recall what time you put them in?

13 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1901: Hmm, based on your duplicate post, I might also guess that you refreshed the page in a tab that was still open and it prompted you to re-post form data. In this case it duped a message, but if you happened to do that earlier then it's also possible you inadvertently re-posted earlier order data in the same way by refreshing an old browser tab.
14 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1901: Jay (England) - Very logical steps, you are a natural born troubleshooter! I have seen the 500 error several times, usually closing/re-opening the browser is enough.

Don (Turkey) - as for your "double post", if the browser is slow, I learned my lesson too not to hit SEND again, no matter how slow it seems it posts once per "SEND".
14 Jul 11 UTC Spring, 1902: Thinking back on the time I accused Mr. Helmecki of possessing the tactical acuity of a salami, it appears I was unduly harsh towards sausages.
15 Jul 11 UTC Spring, 1902: haha. Helmecki talked up a mean pre-game. After Ultimate last week he was laying down plans like a delusional grand master. Now that the drunken stupor wore down a bit we will be lucky if we don't have to wait a day for him to "ready" his moves. I see he made them, but since he is the only one with a retreat order to fill, we could be moving to Fall 1902 right now. :-)
17 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1902: Austria's Last Stand !! Not going down without a fight. Love it. :-)
18 Jul 11 UTC Spring, 1903: Since I have nothing better to do, (orders already in place for Word Domination), I figured I would take a moment to let you all know that you are collectively the sons of a motherless goat. ~Sincerely, The Reich
18 Jul 11 UTC Spring, 1903: Really still more a whimper than a bang... but I'll take what I can get at this point.
19 Jul 11 UTC Spring, 1903: Yes, well I laugh in your general direction...and soon I will be laughing with a French accent.
19 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: Stick a fork in me.
20 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: Q: What's a favorite Austrian victory song?
A: Who knows - nobody has ever heard one!

The Kaiser salutes Italies decimation of the Austrians.
20 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: All I can say is I see a chewy chocolate center surrounded by a coating of salt water taffy - it's headed south and it's looking scary !!
21 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: I object that we have an Italian playing the Italians. An unfair advantage!
21 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: Yeah but I'm an Olive Garden Italian...I think the Cod started on ancestral grounds too!
25 Jul 11 UTC Spring, 1905: Chaos reigns supreme on this chalk board of Europe! It looks like a three year old took a red marker and went crazy!
25 Jul 11 UTC Spring, 1905: It is crazy. If only I attacked Vienna for a third time in a row this turn I would have had it. Waaaaaa! Thats not enough "a"s, lets try WAAAAAAAAAAA. Why didn't I try once more, I can taste it... I truly admit, I didnt think Italy would leave it open, so I didn't bother, little did I know. Its a cat and mouse game. Meow!
25 Jul 11 UTC Spring, 1905: And Jay could've had Tunisia - but NO; it will not be !!
26 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1905: I didnt realize (or stop to think about) forced draw posibilities.. but I see the potential for gridlock.. may the gods of Germany reign fire and brimstone down on all transgressors to keep the reich pressing forward so that doesn't happen!
26 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1905: I suppose we should just call a five way draw and go to bed earlier tonight than otherwise.
29 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1906: With the Italian-Turkish alliance disbanded, looks like a quick mop up effort by the English-German machine now! May the Reich prevail!
29 Jul 11 UTC Spring, 1907: Who says the alliance is disbanded?! We're just regrouping with an adjusted balance of power!
30 Jul 11 UTC Spring, 1907: Let's see if you still feel that way after another year passes..
31 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1907: The English-German alliance stands strong and this game is now in "mop up mode", unless there is a sudden and unexpected turn of events. Can't you see that brown/pink shell getting bigger with each season. That delicious chocolate center with cherry coding for all of Europe to enjoy! Bon apetite!... Or wait, the French are gone. So Cheers instead.
03 Aug 11 UTC Autumn, 1909: The board is looking pretty chocolately now boys :-)
03 Aug 11 UTC Autumn, 1909: Mmmm - chocolate!
03 Aug 11 UTC Autumn, 1909: It looks more like Neopolitan :)
03 Aug 11 UTC Autumn, 1909: Mmmm - Neopolitan! Hey, is Katie having any interesting cravings? Any reason to send you to the store @ say now? Amanda always liked the raspberry cheesecake from Olive Garden..
03 Aug 11 UTC Autumn, 1909: Katy hasn't had anything all that strange. She'll get occasional urges but nothing that I've had to go shopping for :)
03 Aug 11 UTC Autumn, 1909: Come on Katy...have some fun !! It's only Jay's rest; nothing for you to worry about. Hehe.
03 Aug 11 UTC Autumn, 1909: True. I agree that ist more like Neopolitan. (For now!)
03 Aug 11 UTC Spring, 1910: I hope you guys aren't immediately going to agree on a draw once it's down to the two of you. I wanna see some fireworks!
03 Aug 11 UTC Spring, 1910: Just joined a world game - deaf, dumb, and blind-9
It's a non-chat, anonymous set-up with turns every 12 hours..
03 Aug 11 UTC Spring, 1910: There will a draw forthcoming. There wouldn't have been much in the way of fireworks anyway. Once any nation reaches 18 support centers the game ends, so you can't actually play to complete domination of Europe. We'll be at a 17-17 split following the fall turn and then elect the draw.
03 Aug 11 UTC Spring, 1910: Wow, Jim. I just looked at that game you joined. That's actually using a variant map. It's a global, 17-player game.
04 Aug 11 UTC Spring, 1910: Have fun with that one Jim!
04 Aug 11 UTC Spring, 1910: PS: Don't join too many games, I wouldnt do more then one or two, or it will seem like a choir more then a fun activity.
04 Aug 11 UTC Spring, 1910: I agree with Jason, there would be little in the way of fireworks. It would basically be a game to 1 at this point. One more turn closes this one out.
04 Aug 11 UTC Autumn, 1910: I hear ya but I did think this world map looks fun & since there's no chat it should make the strategy simpler. On the issue of this game I understand taking the draw & yet I still say BOOO !! Not sure who really has the upper hand between you two so taking the split doesn't hurt..but yeah; boo.
04 Aug 11 UTC with this draw my status went from "political puppet" to "member"
