21 Oct 08 UTC Can we get the others to unpause? I hope they do not hold out for a draw... That would be silly given that we are so strong.
21 Oct 08 UTC Russia, you just bought into this game. What right do you have to win? When we fought against the multi-England-Russia? Buying into a game where you have 14 s.c.'s and then saying we (or I) am silly for wanting a draw?
21 Oct 08 UTC Oh dear.

I bought in to keep the game running. No-one has a right to win. Everyone has an obligation to play to the best of their ability and opportunities though...

I am happy to play this one properly.
21 Oct 08 UTC The result is a foregone conclusion (for Austria and Italy), and while I am always happy to play a game through until the end, it seems perverse to do so when the situation is so one-sided, given the situation which led to this state of affairs, namely, cheating. Personally I think the game should be declared null and void for that reason. I feel for Germany, France and Turkey who already fell to the machinations of Russia-England.
21 Oct 08 UTC I am not sure where the one-sided bit comes from. As I joined this game there was a clear balance of power and a nice ending where the two largest powers would have to work with the minors to get past a draw.

If there was cheating, it has now stopped. I am, as stated above, willing to play for a win and, if that does not become possible, accept a draw or, if I get outplayed, a loss. I certainly do not want to see the game declared void. That is something that should have been done when the original players were active if and only if cheating could be established.
21 Oct 08 UTC yes, we should have deduced that eng/rus was a multi accounter by our magical powers and decided to have a draw before you joined the game and invested your precious points
21 Oct 08 UTC You don't need to work with either minor power to win. Russia can take Denmark this year, as well as Serbia and probably Trieste. England cannot hope to take any Russian centres this year and will be forced to protect Holland, Kiel and Belgium leaving Russia the chance of taking Kiel/Munich as well if he's lucky. Gives 17 definitely this year. 18 probably. Even if it's only 17, a year gives Russia the chance to get into position better - England cannot hope to take more than one centre this year, and with one loss gets no builds. Russia has this game wrapped up nicely should he choose to, and that is before you've even played a single season. Let's call it a draw and no-one loses.
21 Oct 08 UTC And I forgot Greece
21 Oct 08 UTC If Russia was multi-accounting with England, why did he give up Russia and not England? I am in the position to read the logs and there is no evidence of cheating in what Russia said to England.

I wonder what your evidence is based on?
22 Oct 08 UTC I'll do what everyone agrees to I guess
22 Oct 08 UTC Russia was multi accounting with England. He gave himself up in the forums, and because he did he was allowed to keep one of his accounts, which was Russia. I guess he decided to stop playing, which is why he CD'd. It's in the forums if you want to check it out.
22 Oct 08 UTC /unpause

22 Oct 08 UTC Ah, so you are not the original England either...

If that is so, then draw it must be. I'm not sure that the mods can reverse everything. Like any crime, there is always a mess, even after the courts have done their job.

I will vote for a draw then, as:

/draw
22 Oct 08 UTC I think that's how it works.

Mind you, I'm not sure if we need to unpause first?

Okay, I'll do the lot:

/undraw

/unpause

/draw
22 Oct 08 UTC It needs to be done on its own in one line, like I'll demonstrate in a minute. Thanks for understanding, but it's not a great situation.

23 Oct 08 UTC So, where is Camanto?
24 Oct 08 UTC No clue. He's not CD'd in his other two games though, so...
24 Oct 08 UTC He will be getting prompts every time we use this Global tag...
24 Oct 08 UTC Well it says he's not even logged in since Tuesday of 7... he won't go CD in here if it's paused either will he? I guess we give it another 24 hours and then ask the mods to intervene.

24 Oct 08 UTC Er, just a thought: if we all unpause, the game will automatically shift to the next turn so any orders already entered will be acted on. If that happens, and, say, I sneak a SC... I will still go for the draw.

In fact, probably best for me to change my orders first!

24 Oct 08 UTC I have changed the orders so that I no longer eat Austria... any other moves were preparatory for the following Autumn and will not affect SC counts.
