22 Mar 11 UTC Spring, 1902: Hey everyone, I'll be at a cabin and unable to check the site for the next couple of days, so just call me if you need to talk to me. I'll still be able to post orders through my younger brother, so the game should still be able to go on just fine.
22 Mar 11 UTC Spring, 1902: Somebody want to give me matt's phone number in that case? we have things to discuss....
26 Mar 11 UTC Autumn, 1902: I'm back and able to communicate with the outside world again. Just so you know.
27 Mar 11 UTC Spring, 1903: Just a reminder that to make the retreats and build phases quicker, select "Ready" after saving your orders. Obviously if you're still trying to make a decision, then take as much of the 48 hours as desired (i.e. save it but don't press ready). But if you're not going to change anything, then we could potentially save more than 24 hours per phase that would otherwise be dead time.
01 Apr 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: Nicely played Matt. now sandwich tom!! :D
01 Apr 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: It looks like Matt was more interested in the "Turkey" sandwich. Ha!
14 Apr 11 UTC Spring, 1905: Sweet, Germany left the backdoor to Warsaw wide open. Long live Russia!
14 Apr 11 UTC Spring, 1905: That is if the Tsar can be found....
15 Apr 11 UTC Autumn, 1905: Oh look. I'm not actually dead.
17 Apr 11 UTC Autumn, 1905: Yea I cut you some slack. :-P Not my finest hour.
17 Apr 11 UTC Autumn, 1905: wow...I actually called Brent's move against Warsaw and had it properly defended, only to have it fail because the piece moved and thus couldn't receive support. Sad day.
17 Apr 11 UTC Autumn, 1905: I'd rather be lucky than good.
21 Apr 11 UTC Spring, 1906: I miss Russia.
21 Apr 11 UTC Spring, 1906: I miss Liverpool.
23 Apr 11 UTC Autumn, 1906: Anyone going to be in Wichita May or June?
24 Apr 11 UTC Autumn, 1906: Yes! June 13th to June 27th
25 Apr 11 UTC Autumn, 1906: Sweet. We're taking boards June 9th, so I'm sure we'll end up in Wichita at some point during that stretch. How about the others?
25 Apr 11 UTC Autumn, 1906: I probably won't. My family's taking a trip to Florida for a week, and I might be going to Europe for a bit, so I doubt I'll be able to visit Wichita this summer.
27 Apr 11 UTC Spring, 1907: Props to everyone for pressing "ready". I think we skipped forward about 12 hours.
27 Apr 11 UTC Spring, 1907: Along those same lines, I just noticed that the check marks are dark when "saved" and bright green when "ready".
29 Apr 11 UTC Autumn, 1907: I thought the first occurrence would have made this obvious, but I'll go ahead and announce a rules clarification: units retreating into the same spot will disband. This happened last turn with Tom and Brent retreating into Galicia. No problem there because it was Tom's only retreat option and Brent wanted Galicia as well. Tom just killed a unit, though, by trying to have both retreat to the same spot. Hopefully now that I've clarified this, it won't happen again.
21 May 11 UTC Spring, 1911: I am not suggesting that we do this yet, but I would like to point out that IF the game ends up reaching a stalemate, we can all vote to make the game a draw. The leftover "D" credits will be divided evenly among all players (I think). We should definitely keep playing for now as the board is still changing, but I just wanted people to know that that is an option if we hit a standstill.
21 May 11 UTC Spring, 1911: Aaron just doesn't want to lose.
23 May 11 UTC Spring, 1911: England is mine! Now I can lose happy.
24 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1911: Everyone seems ready to move this party along! I'll gladly oblige.
24 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1911: wow...that's probably the game-ender right there, Dball. Were you trying to throw the game quickly before I could restore my dignity?
24 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1911: Believe me, your numerous failed attempts to take back the island did not convince me to throw the game.
I was confused on the rules. I thought a supporting unit could not be dislodged from the location that it was supporting to providing that the number of units contributing was equal. It was a simple error that I now can grasp. But the game is not over. I won't be disbanding North Africa and Matt will not gain a build this year because all his supply centers are full. I think this game is far from over.
29 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1912: Comon Matt. Miss your turn so we have a chance :-).
29 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1912: Ballsy play by Matt leaving Tunis without support.
02 Jun 11 UTC Autumn, 1913: Darn...I guessed wrong.
10 Jun 11 UTC Autumn, 1915: Good game, everyone. Definitely one of the best Diplomacy games I've been a part of.
10 Jun 11 UTC Spring, 1916: You definitely did a great job of hanging in there. I was impressed.
12 Jun 11 UTC Spring, 1917: So, what do you guys want to do? I don't really want to just keep sitting here, but I currently have no choice with both of you against me. Do you want to call a draw or keep fighting? I only ask about the draw because you're showing no signs of attacking each other, and I'm pretty sure that if I keep holding you can't take anything of mine. But maybe I'm wrong, so it's up to you guys.
13 Jun 11 UTC Spring, 1917: Can we give it a year or two more Matt?
14 Jun 11 UTC Spring, 1917: That's fine. I'll only want to stop if you guys do, too. Who know, maybe I'll get antsy and make a foolish but daring move.
27 Jun 11 UTC Autumn, 1920: Wow. I knew I would be screwed, but not this quickly! Should have given my moves some more thought :-).
29 Jun 11 UTC Autumn, 1921: Man, I was all excited about having 16 territories...
06 Jul 11 UTC Spring, 1923: Y'all have my express permission to bounce in Munich again :-).
09 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1923: So unfortunately I'll be leaving the country starting Monday afternoon, and will not likely have frequent enough access to this game to keep going then. I'm up for whatever you guys want to do. We can either call a draw, pause the game, or keep playing and hope that I'll be able to update my orders.

What do you guys think?
09 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1923: Let's pause the game until you can play again. That way you don't have to worry about getting in orders.
09 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1923: Okay. We can wait for Brent to retreat and D-Ball to build, then pause the game, if that's cool with Brent, too.
11 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1923: Yep that works for me.
27 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1923: Lets finish this!
27 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1923: I'm officially back after scouting out your territories in person, so we can begin again any time.
01 Aug 11 UTC Autumn, 1923: Sorry about the delay. I was out for a while, but I'm ready to finish up (or to be finished up).
09 Aug 11 UTC Sorry I've not been consistent. I will try to pick up my game here.
11 Aug 11 UTC Well that was anticlimactic. It was a good game, though. I'd be up for another sometime if you guys are interested.
12 Aug 11 UTC For sure. Congrats Matt!
12 Aug 11 UTC Congrats Matt. Anticlimatic since we forgot to keep up on our turns, but it ended with a deserving winner. I'm up for another game in the future as well. Y'all just let me know.
02 Sep 11 UTC I just now finally checked back. Congrats on the win, Matt. This was a fun game to be a part of.
