Game won by Polar Bear (1038 D)
03 Aug 08 UTC Spring, 1903: So now England goes CD again.
03 Aug 08 UTC Spring, 1903: Let's just ask for a draw again! Where is kesta? and without an ability
to draw a game is a huge problem in phpDip.
03 Aug 08 UTC Spring, 1903: I agree. Gee, thx for the draw after you wipe out France... what a waste of chips! You guys haven't even finished divvying up the neutral zones!
03 Aug 08 UTC Spring, 1903: apologies to France. I wish there could be ways for retracting from
games. I agree this site sucks!
03 Aug 08 UTC Spring, 1903: I am for a draw, but so you know, the pot is split evenly between all surviving players, so if France can hold Portugal, he gets the same as eight SC Germany!
04 Aug 08 UTC Autumn, 1903: GameMaster: Pastor Travis has taken over England.
04 Aug 08 UTC Autumn, 1903: Thanks for the vote of confidence Austria :o) Its no big deal.
04 Aug 08 UTC Autumn, 1903: I have complete faith in the strength of mighty Portugal! :)
04 Aug 08 UTC Autumn, 1903: Once it's defended by the mighty Italian Navy, it will be impregnable.
04 Aug 08 UTC Autumn, 1903: I'd take the Portugesse navy over the Italian fishing boat army any day. :P
06 Aug 08 UTC Spring, 1904: Are we breaking the record for how many times England can go CD in a game?
06 Aug 08 UTC Autumn, 1904: The Aegean Sea is a popular destination at this time of year.
06 Aug 08 UTC Autumn, 1904: I think the main attraction is the isle of lesbos.
07 Aug 08 UTC Autumn, 1904: when is this draw going to happen?
08 Aug 08 UTC Autumn, 1904: GameMaster: GrandeBiller has taken over England.
08 Aug 08 UTC Spring, 1905: I'll take a draw whenever you like (of course... I'm Italy) but ideally with no more than 4 players still active.
08 Aug 08 UTC Spring, 1905: Look out guys!

Hitler had nothing on this guy! We're doomed....
08 Aug 08 UTC Autumn, 1905: Frankly, come on. Comparing me to hitler. Seriously. For the
record, you guys are being super aggressive towards me for no
good reason. We had all equally good starts. I just got lucky
with a constantly CDing england. So please step down, I am willing
to negotiate a peaceful compromise.
08 Aug 08 UTC Autumn, 1905: I'm sure he'd only meant it as a joke...
08 Aug 08 UTC Autumn, 1905: He doesn't sound like Hitler.....
08 Aug 08 UTC Autumn, 1905: You guys are all hitler for taking out France...ya fascist pigs! :)
08 Aug 08 UTC Autumn, 1905: Hey, I had nothing to do with that one!

And Russia's COMMUNIST! Get with the program!
08 Aug 08 UTC Autumn, 1905: This is 1905, fascism has not been invented yet. And communism
wasn't going to start until after wwI. So I am the Kaiser, and Russia is the
Tsar. (I don't know the titles of the other powers...I am assuming
prime minister for england. Pope for italy?, and archduke for austria?)
09 Aug 08 UTC Autumn, 1905: How kind (?) of England to support the player that, erm, just killed him.
09 Aug 08 UTC Autumn, 1905: Long live england!
09 Aug 08 UTC Autumn, 1905: Pope Polar Bear 1st hereby excommunicates the English.
09 Aug 08 UTC Autumn, 1905: The Kaiser of Buns...hopes that Pope Polar Bear will rescind the unfair Inquisition against the friendly and helpful German people. And offers
wealth and aid to any nation that comes to her aid or offers peace. Especially to the currently belligerent Russia and Austria.
10 Aug 08 UTC Spring, 1906: Wow, the English are spiteful. Or something.
12 Aug 08 UTC Autumn, 1906: wow...nice guess polar bear. It's as it you knew my moves :-)
Alright Kestas, stop pretending to polar bear...
We all know you have access to the backend db.
12 Aug 08 UTC Autumn, 1906: That's a hell of an accusation.
12 Aug 08 UTC Autumn, 1906: It's all in joke, like polar bear's hitler accusation.
12 Aug 08 UTC Spring, 1907: BUT WHAT ABOUT THE FRENCH?!
12 Aug 08 UTC Spring, 1907: ...

...WHY SO SERIOUS?
19 Aug 08 UTC Autumn, 1909: And then there were four.

Draw or keep going?
19 Aug 08 UTC Autumn, 1909: Draw??? I may be out, but the game needs to continue until all efforts have been made to get to a single winner.
19 Aug 08 UTC Autumn, 1909: The dead don't get a say in this.
19 Aug 08 UTC Autumn, 1909: Players do.
19 Aug 08 UTC Autumn, 1909: If I don't get a say, then the dead shouldn't be able to post. So, I am still an interested party.
19 Aug 08 UTC Autumn, 1909: HAHA... I can't believe Italy and Austria are doing so well... good luck Germany.... you look vulnerable....
19 Aug 08 UTC Autumn, 1909: This is what's known as stirring the pot....

If the rest of us want to beat our swords into ploughshares and establish a Europe-wide hippy commune, no corpse is going to persuade us otherwise.
19 Aug 08 UTC Autumn, 1909: There was one game where a player, Vampiero I think, had 17 SCs and two other allied players had the rest. The two allies wouldn't attack each other, and I understand that. But Vampiero wouldn't budge on a draw. Eventually, one of just left an SC open to end the stalemate that endured for several turns. Had we defeated Vampiero, the remaining two would have tried to win between each other. You are not at stalemate lines, and I don't think you are all allied. So, can you tell me why you think a draw should be called?
19 Aug 08 UTC Autumn, 1909: Because games go on too long otherwise? Who cares if they want a draw, they want a draw. That's a typical thing w/ DIP. I've seen 5-way draws before, which is sad, but true. Depends on how long you want to draw out the game.... no pun intended.
21 Aug 08 UTC Spring, 1910: I do understand the idea of allies unwilling to attack each other and endless games. It just didn't seem like that was the case here. I wish there was an automated process to take care of it without requesting it. I suggested that a turn where all participants held or at most supported a hold would consider peace to be achieved and a draw indicated, or assign the one with the most SCs the winner, in a winner-take-all.
28 Aug 08 UTC Bye Bye Hitler.... missing you already
29 Aug 08 UTC GameMaster: Ultimarory has taken over Germany.
29 Aug 08 UTC Seriously, what do you gain from taking over Germany in this situation?
29 Aug 08 UTC hahaha would you guys stop posting in this forum? Its annoying to get these notices for this game that I've been out of for like 2 weeks.
29 Aug 08 UTC It's not our fault you're dead.

OK well I suppose it is my fault.
29 Aug 08 UTC Eh? Is that it?

Ah well, it seems Italy can win after all.

Thanks everyone.
29 Aug 08 UTC Oh, damn... Sorry Russia, bad time to miss a turn.
