26 Jan 11 UTC Spring, 1901: Well...this is irony.
30 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 1902: So Italy finalized (i.e. clicked ready) but did not put any orders in....
30 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 1902: Fail.
31 Jan 11 UTC Spring, 1903: What was the irony, Austria?
31 Jan 11 UTC Spring, 1903: That I'm the country that started it all. Why couldn't they just forget Franz?
01 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: It's 1901, wasn't Franz Ferdinand killed in 1914?
01 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: Meh he got killed earlier in this apparently.
01 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: Either way I don't think I'll last too long.
04 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1904: Guys please pause. The ceiling in my apartment has collapsed due to extreme rain.
04 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1904: Damn. I hope you can find a decent place to stay.
04 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1904: (orathaic): pausing at player's request.

pm me to unpause and i'll have a look at this global chat again.
04 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1904: Yeah. It's 11 pm. I just got home after walking miles some of it in knee deep water. I am not sure where I am going to stay either. My apartment is ruined.
04 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1904: That's pretty shitty for you. I hope you find some solutions.
08 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1904: Thanks for your patience on this guys. My apartment is a pretty sorry state, and will take a couple of weeks to fix. However think I am okay to unpause. It might be that in a week or two I'll need a pause for a couple of days, but when that come's I'll let you all know. Cheers.
11 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1904: Would we all like to start playing again, or do other players need to continue the pause?
11 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1904: I'm dead anyway, so I dosnt matter :)
11 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1904: I'm dead anyway, so I dosnt matter :)
11 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1904: Why is it not unpausing??
11 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1904: England needs to unpause too.
11 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1904: It seems we'll have to wait for England getting back from wherever it is. He hasn't looked at the game for longer than two days.
11 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1904: I know England has a reputation of being late to the party, but this is sad.
13 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1904: Cant we kick England out someway? He is getting on my tits
13 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1904: .....What? Never mind......(Shudder)
19 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1906: Where is the key to my doomsday machine?
19 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1906: you must have left it in paris ^^
25 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1908: how do you guys feel about drawing? England and Germany you guys have a tight alliance, but Turkey and I are behind a stalemate line. If you look it can't be penetrated. Unless you fight each other it is game over.
25 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1909: I'm not going to draw this game with 4 nations remaining. Eliminate Russia and I'll happily draw this game.
26 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1909: Well the fact is a stalemate line has been reached. So the game is going to be a draw, unless England and Germany want to fight? And my army helps make that stalemate possible. If it were not for the stalemate Germany and England could take out both Turkey and Russia. But it's there and its going to be a draw. So four or three players what difference does it make?
26 Feb 11 UTC This very subject was being discussed in the forum over the last day or so. See the thread "we need a new rating system". Edi Birsan himself used to play here and he argued that it was fine to include a one SC power in a draw. The goal is to win but if you can't win stop someone else from winning. No one will win this game. It is a draw.
But as I say I respect peoples right to play the game they choose (so long as there is no cheating). And hey maybe there is life in this game yet. Why stop at a three-way? Go for a two-way if that is what you want.
Whatever you three decide I'll try to to hang in there while I can.
26 Feb 11 UTC Wow. Thanks guys :-)
That was really generous of you. I did not expect to survive, but I sure wanted to. But if you had have decided to remove me I would have been cool with that.
Please excuse the end game begging, but it is called Diplomacy, and I wanted to hang in there.
That said, I think would have done as you guys. But thanks again for a good game.
