24 Jan 11 UTC Spring, 1: Good luck, everyone!
25 Jan 11 UTC Spring, 1: 666 huh?
25 Jan 11 UTC Spring, 1: :O
MY
HERO!
Thanks for figuring that out!
25 Jan 11 UTC Spring, 1: Good morning :) Sorry for not putting my moves in last night, I had gotten off the computer before the game started. I'm usually pretty active during the day, but I'm holding off on my ready until I hear back from a few of you. Good luck though, and have fun
25 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 1: We're all here, let's get this next round done!
25 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 1: Oh.
You're all waiting on me.
Crap.
26 Jan 11 UTC Spring, 2: Man, in Carthage was on - I feel like we could do a semi-live game :p
26 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 2: Go Greece Lightning
29 Jan 11 UTC Spring, 5: Dibs on Thebes
29 Jan 11 UTC Spring, 5: Also Rome, wtf is that with your backstab?
29 Jan 11 UTC Spring, 5: Good game ladies and gentlemen
31 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 5: Poor communication.
31 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 5: May I ask the question I'm dying to hear the answer to - this is my first Ancient Med game, and I seem to have been attacked from the onset by three of you, and none would ever listen to me -- what happened? Did my opening moves turn you all against me, or was something else going on?
31 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 5: Well I juggernauted with Carthage from the onset.
31 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 5: This is my 3rd Ancient med game and each time I've played as Persia. Also, each time I've teamed with Egypt and each time I've gone 17/17 draw.

I've never had an Egypt come straight at me with his fleet before, and the only reason for that is to start an offensive towards my home SC's - I didn't have a choice but to try to retailiate.
31 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 5: of course, that was the obvious move...
31 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 5: I disagree - before Spring 1 is complete, you should try to communicate with everyone to at least attempt to establish amiable communications. Egypt's message to me to start the game was, "Are you going to try and take Cyprus?"

Nothing about an alliance, nothing about teamwork, or future plans, or negotiating Tyre/Jerusalem/Petra - and then his Spring 1 moves were into the GOP and to Sinai. That's a pretty aggressive start towards Persia and pretty much throws any intent for me to ally with him out the window.
31 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 5: Also, I need to apologize for forgetting to move to Sinope with Bithynia - I accidentally extended the game for another day or so.
31 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 5: Well, since you are handing out "advice", may i just say, dont be such a kiss ass in your opening messages, makes people really not want to be your ally
31 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 5: I don't know why it worked for you so well (aside from the fact that you'll be just as dead as we are). But to be honest, I think that one's first messages should be casual. I saw possibility in moving West for 2 SCs, and I took it, though clearly it's an offensive move.

But regardless, you had better not try to lie as outright as that, people will never trust you when you lie over everything, petty or not.
