29 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: Hey people i was wondering if we could declare a pause since ill be on vacations from the 2 to the 8 of January
29 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1906: alright.
30 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1906: Done
30 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1906: wait guys not yet i still have 2 days
30 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1906: LOL that the first time I've been duped with "pause" scheme. I must say I do like that and found it quite funny. I'll have to try that one my self some time in the future :-}
30 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1906: There is no scheme, ill be leaving on the 2 of January, we still have 2 days to play.
01 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 1906: Ok people as i said i will be on vacations from the 2 to the 8 of January so im voting for the pause now
01 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 1906: alright.
01 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 1906: Will pause work because we still have England and France in the game?
01 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 1906: i was wondering that too.
it would work if england leaves in two turns.
01 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 1906: If that is the case then could you trust your self to trust others trusting that they would not put a turn in until England leaves ;-}
02 Jan 11 UTC Spring, 1907: well, could you pause also france?
02 Jan 11 UTC Spring, 1907: Well we have pressed pause but I'm still temped to put my move in just in case until the game actually pauses for real, but by that time will Germany be willing to un-pause the game. We are in a bit of a difficult situation here I think.
02 Jan 11 UTC Spring, 1907: just save your moves.
if germany doesn't want to un-pause, admins will take care of that, don't worry.
03 Jan 11 UTC Spring, 1907: Its a good job we both didn't save our turns and pressed ready just in case.
05 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 1907: since germany is gone and it's not paused, it seems like we are the only ones who left.
so we had to fight, it's not something that i wanted.
05 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 1907: It was quite amusing how we kept on going... I think we were both thinking with the same plan of not stopping. You've only got 3 more SC to go and I think you will probably make before I do.
05 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 1907: I get the feeling your not going for the draw so I'll keep on playing.
05 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 1907: if we draw, france and england will also share the pot.
i could go for the draw otherwise..
09 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 1908: Hey people! i thought we were going to pause the game, now i come back and i find you didnt and im almost dead, thats not a good way of playing.
09 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 1908: The problem was that France and England had not dropped out of the game so we could not pause. And in the true tradition of Diplomacy no one trusted the other hence we put our turns all voting for a Freeze but it never happened. Sorry about that but we tried.
22 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 1912: Well I think that almost wraps the game up. I'll keep on pushing but I think it should be all over by next autumn. It was fun while it lasted.
