14 Jul 22 UTC | Spring, 1960: And so the roles are reversed :-) Good luck! |
14 Jul 22 UTC | Spring, 1960: So they are! Good luck to you too! |
15 Jul 22 UTC | Autumn, 1960: I see that there are a lot of variations in opening moves on this map lmao :-) |
15 Jul 22 UTC | Autumn, 1960: USSR has zero variation lol. NATO can go to IndO or NwgS, but I tend to think they're slightly worse or risky, respectively. |
15 Jul 22 UTC | Autumn, 1960: Actually I spoke too soon. IndO is mostly just different. It's goal is to interrupt USSR's India - > Iran route. It does almost just give up Japan, though, which is why I don't love it. And there is another symmetry-breaking option that both powers have, in going to EMed or IonS, and then taking a guess on whether to defend the home SC or go for the neutral. Similar to NwgS, it's risky, but getting the guess right gives a slight advantage |
15 Jul 22 UTC | Autumn, 1960: I see what you mean, there are a few key areas which could go either way, to be fair, it has far more possibilities than any other 2 player map. I am currently still debating builds, difficult choice, like you said, you cannot cover everywhere, so it is making a choice and going for it I suppose. Now do I play it safe or go for something spicy lol :-) |
15 Jul 22 UTC | Autumn, 1960: I like spice :) |
15 Jul 22 UTC | Autumn, 1960: lol, we will have to see :-) |
17 Jul 22 UTC | Autumn, 1961: Hmm I guess wrong on whether you'd try to replicate my Japan trick or not. Tricky guesses in the Pacific |
18 Jul 22 UTC | Autumn, 1961: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders. |
18 Jul 22 UTC | Autumn, 1961: Sorry for the delay, crazy weekend. Moves will be in shortly. I thought a straight copy would be too obvious, I continue to be surprised by how you never try for Bering. Although maybe I am over estimating it's importance. |
23 Jul 22 UTC | Autumn, 1962: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders. |
24 Jul 22 UTC | Autumn, 1962: Sorry for the delay! I haven't had a lot of time lately. |
24 Jul 22 UTC | Autumn, 1962: Same here, I delayed also lol |
24 Jul 22 UTC | Autumn, 1962: Hmm this is very much anyone's game. It'll be interesting to see where it goes! |
25 Jul 22 UTC | Autumn, 1962: Agreed, shame I completely overlooked the possibility of a malicious support. Bloody good move that mate :-) |
27 Jul 22 UTC | Spring, 1963: :) I'm camping for the next few days so I won't be readying up |
27 Jul 22 UTC | Spring, 1963: I am stuck lol, will enter moves soon, then I will enter pause, feel free to pause if you want too |
28 Jul 22 UTC | Autumn, 1963: I appreciate it, but no need! I have service often enough to meet the timelines |
29 Jul 22 UTC | Autumn, 1963: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders. |
