Game won by TheEmperor (100 D)
26 May 08 UTC Spring, 1901: Okay, so now that it's started, I still don't see any way to configure deadline intervals. I think it's 24 hours for each phase (i.e. moves, retreats, builds).
26 May 08 UTC Spring, 1901: Although it's possible that once everybody finalizes their actions, it goes ahead and does them (i.e. the 24 hours is a maximum).
27 May 08 UTC Spring, 1901: Ahem... Germany?
28 May 08 UTC Autumn, 1901: As I was saying to Christian (a.k.a. Germany) earlier, I love the fact that we're only two moves in, and already the board is *completely* different from the first game we played.
28 May 08 UTC Spring, 1902: Well not "*completely*". History has repeated itself. In the first year of the game I get stabbed in the back. It has become tradition it seems.
30 May 08 UTC Spring, 1903: France is on fire!
30 May 08 UTC Spring, 1903: Wow... I'm nicely roasted.

31 May 08 UTC Autumn, 1903: By the way, I don't intend on playing this game over the weekend.
31 May 08 UTC Autumn, 1903: Okay, apparently some people thought that we weren't playing over the weekend, and some (e.g. me) thought we were. As I mentioned before, there's no way to "pause" the game. I suppose we could all agree to not move, which would put all of us into civil disorder until we got back...but I'm not sure what would happen then. It's possible that the system might assume we've all quit and kill the game.
31 May 08 UTC Autumn, 1903: I suggest we put all of our units on hold.
31 May 08 UTC Autumn, 1903: I guess that would work. In CD, your units automatically hold, so it wouldn't even require everybody to do so. As long as 2 players do it, we'd probably be fine. (It's possible if only one player isn't in CD, they win the game or something.) On a related note, the user documentation for phpDiplomacy sucks.
31 May 08 UTC Autumn, 1903: So are we playing or holding?
31 May 08 UTC Autumn, 1903: By the time retreats expire, then builds, then Spring, it will be Monday.
01 Jun 08 UTC Autumn, 1903: I lost. How did I get 5 points?
01 Jun 08 UTC Autumn, 1903: Retreats will expire later today. So when we get back to work tomorrow, it'll be during the build phase. We can deal with next weekend when it comes...I'm fine if everybody just wants to agree to hold, as long as it's after a fall turn (i.e. so that nobody loses/gains centres that they shouldn't).
01 Jun 08 UTC Autumn, 1903: I'm not sure why you got your points back. I saw something in the forums about it bumping people back up to 100, but I assumed that was when/if they got to zero. (Again, documentation sucks.)
03 Jun 08 UTC Autumn, 1904: phpdiplomacy's timer and my life schedule do not mix.
03 Jun 08 UTC Autumn, 1904: So, that answers the question about what happens if you have orders entered, but not finalized, when time runs out. I thought I had another half-hour to adjust, but then the phase ended. It went with the moves I had entered.
04 Jun 08 UTC Autumn, 1905: Heh. And the wisdom of making deals with russia comes clear. :)
04 Jun 08 UTC Autumn, 1905: I don't know. Ask Germany how that worked out for him. ;)
05 Jun 08 UTC Autumn, 1906: Screw you guys. I'm going to India.
05 Jun 08 UTC Autumn, 1906: Go Picardy! woot!
