31 Aug 21 UTC | Very interesting game. What a great start for BC. Look at the map in 2006. But I made a decision to stick with heartland as an ally all game long no matter what and it paid off, we were able to hold and then slowly claw back against BC. Maybe took on just too much as the game leader, but was so close to breaking us. Really fun battle with Peru then in the Atlantic. Very tight, but once I got east coast back I had a solid line there again. I think Peru should have voluntarily retreated from there it was such a crucial space for me to control, without being huge danger to Peru. Managed to disengage from Peru in a hurry, as soon as Mexico stabbed everyone did what was necessary which was great. One little wobble when heartland took Quebec and I made an aggressive move but I immediately understood (I think) that he just needed frontline troops against Mexico more than I did so I stuck with the alliance. |
31 Aug 21 UTC | I always wish we could draw and then play on and see. I am sure Mexico could not get a solo in fact I was toying with the idea whether Mexico could have even been defeated if we kept on going. Would have been long and boring but I’m not convinced that is impossible. |
