16 Jun 21 UTC GG, came into this standard opener to get 3 builds. Looking to have Rome and carthage be semi successful and inital target was Egypt. Moved to secure all centers within 2 of my Home SCs. Egypt seemed the most likely target with his incursion in Cyprus, and it looked like Greece was going to move against rome. Egypt went dark, so moved to capitalize as best as I could, Greece made some crucial mistakes vs Rome and was being a nuisance with Crete. Egypt fell quite fast.

Seeing carthage move to take some Egyptian provinces meant that I had to work fast to capture as much as I could. In 5, I began a move against Greece, and it seemed greece began to withdraw. I took crete and began maneuvers to make a solo attempt.

What really helped me was that Rome and Carthage didn't come to a peaceful resolution in time which gave me enough time to push far forward. At around 6AD it was only a matter of time before that final 18th center was mine.

Rome made some good plays, unfortunately it wasn't timely enough and unfortunate that Egypt just stood still.
16 Jun 21 UTC I think if Egypt had kept playing you definitely wouldn't have won so fast and I think I might have been able to solo. I was doing a good job holding the line against Greece and in a good position to defeat Carthage. However, Egypt quitting meant that Persia quickly snowballed and Carthage and Greece focused on fighting me for too long instead of realizing the threat.
