11 May 21 UTC GG wp. Good job holding on France
11 May 21 UTC GG, good job France, great patience turkey sitting in the back to not antagonize anyone
11 May 21 UTC Well played England. It took us so long to start working well together, I thought that there would be more ally play, especially after I didn't attack you in 1907-ish. But the stab in 08/09 was well executed.
11 May 21 UTC I moved in for the lepanto, but Turkey put up quick roadblocks. I normally hate early AI conflict, but with everyone making gains against Russia, coupled with the fact that austria wasn't really helping me forward into Turkey, I decided to make some moves. This forced AUstria to withdraw and gave Russia some breathing room. From there Austria was quickly removed and France made a play against Italy despite England making good progress in the north. I moved to defend against France and then Turkey comes knocking on my door, It seemed that I was always being assualted from whenever someone withdrew. That allowed russia to take advantage and gain dominance in austria. I once again moved to defend. Now the rub, France decides to be fancy and park in GOL, so that forced my fleet to answer. France was probably preparing for an assault should he be successful agianst England. That fleet in GoL always kept soft pressure on me to hold back some fleets so I was never fully committed to assaulting in the east. Once england took the northern stalemate line, i felt urgency to help defend with france, but Russia was intent on creating conflict in the east. Once England was hitting france in 1911, i decided to give France a taste of his own medicine and park a fleet much closer. But this allowed England to get a fleet behind the stalemate line, So i moved to gain some builds as that was the quickest way to get armies closer to france. Once england had fleets in the med in 1913, it was up to Turkey to provide some support. England pushed forward and it looked like he was gonna secure the win. A fortunate snafu that had an Italian fleet in Munich gave us some breath of life. Taking french centers was a necessity to block out England. But then Russia tried to get fancy in Autumn 1913 and assault Turkey despite our lines being scattered, perhaps it was an answer to incusrion into Ion.once we had a stable line prepared, pushing back England from Tun was next to ensure we can hold the Med. Overall some dicey moments but we were able to pull it through.
11 May 21 UTC Gg, I was a bit saddened that France didn't make a play against England :(
11 May 21 UTC @Germany - I would say that France did make a play against me in the early game.
Not untill Spring 04 was he backing off on the attack and instead went for you, as you were in Burgundy.
In my opinion you missplayed in 03 where you could have gotten Sweden, seing as I only had 2 units to counter you, and you had a build in Kiel.
If Sweden falls then Norway is soon falling after that, and the western front was easily locked up with 3 armies. Adding a fourth army to that line and having them all trying to be squezed through a 2-space gap is not a good move.

That your advance slowed down allowed me and france to work things out (for a time), if you had focused on just the North, I am positive, I would have been the one to leave the game early.
11 May 21 UTC Yes I agree, that was why I pulled out voluntarily from Burgundy
11 May 21 UTC My move into Burgundy was a mistake for sure, I already figured that out and won't do that again in gunboats xD
11 May 21 UTC I might have survived if had Russia not taken STP in 1905

11 May 21 UTC gg all

It’s funny you say you felt like you were always being assaulted Italy as I felt the same. The minute I thought I had something going with someone it seemed to all change.

I think Austria should have either stuck with me after my fleet builds in 01 been more generous with supports to you Italy. My fleets then did make it difficult for us to work together but we seemed to have it working for a time - we just never managed to align on who gets what. Or at least that’s how I saw it

My spring 1913 move to Ionian was an aggressive move but after those moves had gone through I realised we needed to get the defensive line against England. I just couldn’t let you know I had seen that. My intention in Autumn was to block England from taking Tunis but I got caught up in not wanting to lose my other SCs and thinking if I did take Tunis we needed my second fleet in Ionian such that my moves probably came across super aggressive.
11 May 21 UTC Ya my plan was to lose Tunis and retake as I had extra builds. But that aggressive move that saved Tunis had me cause for concern so I built the fleet more north in anticipati9n if you keeping ion
