07 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: ps. the lack of communication on your end (and thus the lack of communication between us) is very clearly evident by the result. look at where you and I stand as a direct result of your lack of diplomacy.
07 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: Not sure how this fits any definition of "it's not personal." Anyways, whoever you are, feel free to avoid me.
07 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: Well, I am back, thanks for the pause and back to the game ;-)
08 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: You missed some good stuff for a game on pause!
08 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: Yes, seems we have some good stuff on the global.
08 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: I would have to agree with AUS. Really poor play by both IT and RUS. If G/F/T had you as multis they'd still find it hard to do a better job.
08 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: i'm glad I've got Russia talking finally - even if its only in the 'global' tab and only after we are down to a collective two supply depots.

To be honest, I did suspect Italy and Russia of being multis at one point in the game... maybe I can publish the entire conversation threads I've had with both - after the game- just to show why I would reach such a conclusion... but if R is really PH, I doubt there was real collusion...

more likely PH just did not care enough about this game to give it any real effort.

but none of this should take away from Turkey's well played game.
08 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: You thought there were multis in this game? Really?
08 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: Anyone still wondering why I stopped talking to this nutjob?
08 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: yes. because no sane Russia under attack from north, south, and west would continue to use his increasingly rare units to cut support only to help a feckless italy get growth at the expense of protecting himself.

so either you truly suck as a player, which we know is not true from your stats (if you are PH), or you were collaborating with Italy and willing to concede your own well-being for his benefit.

which is it?

as for nutjob... i'd love to hear you say that once you know who I am ;)
08 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: So you are saying that "colluding" and "collaborating" are bad form? Somehow I had the impression that in-game alliances were allowed in Diplomacy.
08 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: As for the "nutjob" comment, I will retreat a bit, and say you are "acting like some kind of nutjob." No aspersions on what you might be like in RL. However, it doesn't matter which of my illustrative opponents you are, I stand by my characterization.
08 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: Guys, you need to chill a bit. It's a game and everyone makes mistakes.
08 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: Thanks E, but I am already chill. Since I am functionally out of the game, the only fun left is to argue with Ivo or whoever is playing Austria.
08 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: Ivo huh? you flatter me!

... or you are insulting Ivo =P
08 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: I had to guess, and since I have had run-ins with Ivo in the past, I figured he wouldn't mind. So are you saying that you are not Ivo? I will confess that at one time I thought you were Crazyter, but somebody has talked me out of that.
Or maybe you are really PH?
08 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: And kudos to Turkey. You really undressed me in this game.
08 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: Humm, this game didn´t end at all, so I would wait for the EOG statements to discuss it.
But thanks Russia or PH (I guess that was a compliment....).
08 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: Well it depends what you look like naked, Turkey. ;)
08 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: Ur, well it depends what R looks like. Put my foot in my mouth as usual. Never mind.
08 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: I've never had any complaints.
10 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1906: Unfortunately, I am at a conference all day and may not be able to talk much. I am posting it in Global so no one gets nervous that I am not talking to them :-) I love each of you equally!
13 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1906: Hey, just arrived back home from Dallas where I have been for several days. Starting in the morning I will be much more available for negotiations. Sorry for the lack of discussion. I haven't spoken to anyone much these past few days. Sorry.
13 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1906: Dallas, eh? What, are you in the oil and gas business? ;)
13 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1906: No. Something much more valuable than commodities!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
13 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1906: Money? Love? Do tell!
13 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1906: Ah, the souls of men!!!!! I am a minister. Stop laughing, it's true. Yes, I lie in these games. It is Diplomacy after all.
13 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1906: I think that's pretty cool actually.
13 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1906: Some find it a dichotomy, but for me it is a very congruent. I am always dealing with men and their free will. My hope is that I can provide the information that inspires people to choose love over hate, peace over war and grace over judgment (in life as well as Diplomacy)!!!
13 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1907: I would say good game, but why lie. It was not a good game for me, nor a good game =) best of luck to those of u remaining.
14 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1907: OK Austria-fess up-we are dying to know-are you one of these players or not???

14 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1907: You'll find out soon enough. Either a turkish solo or a 3way is not that far off.
14 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1907: I...just...can't stand...the...suspense
17 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1907: FYI I will not have much internet access this weekend. I will proabaly get on once more a few hours before deadline tomorrow, and then be back Sun nite.
17 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1908: Have a god trip. We promise we won't talk to each other about the game :-)
23 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1909: Good bye, so long, auf wiedershen, farewell.
23 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1909: I hope to play with you again soon, my friend. You are one of the best multi's I have ever played with :-) See you soon.
23 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1909: Well thank you. I am sure my blazing success in this game will inspire a generation of future multis.
23 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1909: Thanks for fighting until the bitter end PH. Hope we can play again sometime soon.
23 Sep 10 UTC Russia-you were a great ally-Thanks for playing so long!
23 Sep 10 UTC cheers, everyone.
25 Sep 10 UTC Rdrivera you know me too well! Good job guessing what I was up to last turn. Now I might have to Draw. I'll take one more look at the board tomorrow morning and then decide.
25 Sep 10 UTC Well Terry, I can say you know me very well too, as you antecipate all my moves and use Russia to block me when I have a pretty decent chance to try for a solo. If you move one turn later to block StP I could have won, I guess....

Now I think we have a pretty solid stalemate line, so the draw is calling.....
25 Sep 10 UTC No you give me too much credit. I got very lucky. ;)
25 Sep 10 UTC Great game everyone. Very enjoyable.
25 Sep 10 UTC It was my honor to play with each of you. Great learning experience. I picked up several valuable lessons for the future. Thanks.
25 Sep 10 UTC Babak-So you were Austria. So you have a Jekyl and Hyde personality. Definitely Mr. Hyde in this one.

Everyone in this game is invited to join
25 Sep 10 UTC except Mr. Hyde. Dr. Jekyl is allowed and even welcome
26 Sep 10 UTC it was actually a pleasure to play with most of you. yes indeed a Mr. Hyde presence for me this game, but I really found no real allies, so I had to do what I could on the diplomacy front.

I still do think that the Russian play was VERY sub-par and that the italian stuck to a style I would never approve of. but for what its worth, I was outplayed from the first round.

well done all.
