06 Aug 10 UTC Spring, 1901: If E and I miss can we get a remake?
06 Aug 10 UTC Spring, 1901: Even though I missing is a blessing for me?
06 Aug 10 UTC Spring, 1901: I'm not gonna miss :)
06 Aug 10 UTC Spring, 1901: Rephrase, if I misses can we remake?
06 Aug 10 UTC Spring, 1901: Sorry all, late night at work. I'm here.
06 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 1901: France likes threatening other countries it seems.
16 Aug 10 UTC Spring, 1904: Sorry for missing the phase. Busy week-end...
18 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 1904: Turkey is a tough nut to crack, but I think our nutcracker might be faulty.
18 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 1904: My guess is that Austria is holding you up so he can get the lion's share of my SCs
19 Aug 10 UTC Spring, 1905: Anyone else not seeing the map or the orders boxes, or is it my computer?
19 Aug 10 UTC Spring, 1905: Same for me.
19 Aug 10 UTC Spring, 1905: Same for me.
31 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 1908: The title of the game has me curious. Is someone from DC?
01 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1908: I interned there over the summer. This was a joke after a long, long happy hour at Capitol Lounge.
01 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1908: A fine name and and a fine game. Thanks.
01 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1908: A fine game indeed. Thanks guys.
01 Sep 10 UTC I enjoyed it too! Russia, do we have a draw?
01 Sep 10 UTC Much to the annoyance of Germany I agree. I'd like, if possible, to discuss whether this was the right decision or how I should have played better this better. I'm still pretty new to the game, and I hope people can give me some constructive advice, rather than it turning into one of those abuse theads!
Anyway, good game everyone.
02 Sep 10 UTC I don't want to claim great experience, but it seemed to me unlikely that any of us could have won this game outright. At the end of the game, I had a 5:2 naval advantage in the north, and could have pushed my way into both Norwegian Sea and North Sea. You would have been losing northern SCs to me as quickly as you gained any southern ones against Italy.

I had the converse problem in the south: an 0:3 fleet ratio against Italy. So if I got too big, Italy would have blocked me.

Had the stakes been smaller, I might have tried for the solo. But 168 pts. is a lot of dough for a player who usually only bets 25 or 30 per game. This draw will feed my habit for a while.

Thanks again for a challenging game. You really pushed our alliance to the breaking point.
02 Sep 10 UTC Russia, you could have taken Constantinople and Serbia this turn. That would have put you (assuming you didn't build in Moscow) right up to the cusp of victory. You also didn't have to let France get Munich. That's a little bit self-serving on my part, but you easily could have denied him that center. It was a mistake for you to draw this turn, although you very likely could have been forced to in a few phases if things didn't go just right.

At any rate, you all played the game well (with one partial, pink aberration), and I for one have a new found respect for the Heligoland Bight space.
02 Sep 10 UTC I do want to apologize for my missed move. I very rarely miss moves and am embarrassed it happened during such a good game.
