12 Feb 21 UTC Autumn, 2006: Sounds good. Let’s make this happen
13 Feb 21 UTC Autumn, 2006: I do not want to spoil the party, but...
Assuming, that we pull this off. What is the situation after the successful convoy? Do the Big Three resume hostilities immediately? Are we falling back to the old positions? Or what is the plan?
13 Feb 21 UTC Autumn, 2006: I think it’s fair we let everyone go back to starting positions before resuming hostilities
13 Feb 21 UTC Autumn, 2006: We need three moves to get the fleets into position, fourth move is the convoy. My army crawling back to Venezuela takes moves five, six, seven. Meanwhile we start re-arranging the fleets.
And all this efforts will delay the final, as Heartland named it, massacre.
13 Feb 21 UTC Autumn, 2006: I am usually in favor of whittling the draw down as much as possible, but in light of the unique circumstances and everyone's willingness to indulge my suggestion of the long convoy, I would be willing to draw with Texas and Peru (sorry Cuba) once the convoy is done.

I haven't talked to Heartland or BC about this idea, so I will defer to their wishes if they are not interested in a 5 way draw. But I thought I would throw it out there.
13 Feb 21 UTC Autumn, 2006: Alternatively, we could continue pushing for the three way draw and then conduct the convoy once all other nations are eliminated but before we draw.
13 Feb 21 UTC Autumn, 2006: I would be content to accept the five-way draw. Although we could eventually whittle Peru and Texas, it would take a LONG time considering how well-positioned their defenses are. I would be fine with ending things early, after we accomplish the impossible together.
13 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 2007: I'll be ready to convoy in two turns; my fleets will carry the army from the Baffin Bay to the North Pacific.
13 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 2007: It will take two turns for me as well. I’ll take it from the Sea of Labrador to Lesser Antilles.
13 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 2007: Heartland, I am waiting for your consent to the 5-way draw before I finalize my plans this season.
13 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 2007: I’m down for a 5 way drW
14 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 2007: Cool, then I’ll start repositioning my fleets now.
14 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 2007: Quebec save your draw vote for the final one
14 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 2007: Will do
14 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 2007: Starting to redeploy my fleets for the Great Convoy.
14 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 2007: FYI - I’m going to support Peru to Holguin just to finish off Cuba.

(Cuba, sorry. Not trying to rub this in, but Peru wanted a public message because I think he is still just a bit nervous about trusting me.)
14 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 2007: Sorry for my paranoia. I just wanted everybody to know the reason for my move to Holguin before moving. Only to avoid any misunderstanding.
14 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 2007: Can we make sure that Straits of Florida gets filled so the route can go through Gulf of Mexico tiles and Heartland and I can get in on the convoy action?
14 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 2007: I’ll move back to Strait of Florida.
14 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 2007: The route:

Less. Ant. - East Carr. - West Carr. - Str. Of Yuc. - Gulf of Mex. - Appalachee Bay - Str. Of Florida - Bermuda Triangle - Mid Atlantic - N. Atlantic - Sea of Labrador - Baffin Bay - Arctic - Bering Sea - Gulf of Alaska - N. Pacific - S.W. Pacific - S. Pacific - Galapagos

Did I get that right?
14 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 2007: Sorry Peru, that attack by Chihuahua was a misorder; you can see that I also ordered Arizona to cover it, so I obviously didn’t intend for it to attack something it had no chance of taking
14 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 2007: Also, I love that we’re now making this convoy as inefficient as humanly possible. Why take the short route past the Caribbean when you can take the long route around it?
14 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 2007: I wonder what the world record for longest Convoy in Diplomacy is
14 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 2007: We are up to 19 sea zones. It would be difficult to construct one much longer than that. So I feel like we are pushing the limit of what is possible.
14 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 2007: B-C, no problem.
Good idea to involve all possible fleets.
The fleet in SouthCaribbean asks to be part of the convoy, too.
14 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 2007: Everytime I see peru in this varient I think I'm looking at England.

Like, Balkanisation of the US, the British are just like:
Al'righ lads, 'ime fo Empire two, 'lec'ric boogaloo.
14 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 2007: Oi chaps I do say it’s time to reclaim the colonies eh? God save the queen!
15 Feb 21 UTC Autumn, 2007: Orders entered and readied. Moving into position now.
15 Feb 21 UTC Autumn, 2007: Message from Peru (not England!) :
Orders entered and readied. Moving into position now.
15 Feb 21 UTC Autumn, 2007: Looks to me like we're ready!
15 Feb 21 UTC Autumn, 2007: Build is readied.
Extended my Southern path to SouthwestPac - SouthPac - MidPac - CoastOfMexico - Galapagos - Lima.
15 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 2008: Here we go!
15 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 2008: The big question is if it will get stuck in the Bemuda Triangle....
15 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 2008: Baffin Bay, Arctic Ocean, Bering Sea, Gulf of Alaska, and North Pacific Ocean ready to go!
15 Feb 21 UTC Ladies and Gentlemen, we've done it!
15 Feb 21 UTC My God, it's beautiful.
15 Feb 21 UTC Glorious.
15 Feb 21 UTC I'm going to have to screen shot this.
15 Feb 21 UTC We should post on the forum about it. We may have broken a record.
15 Feb 21 UTC For sure. We might as well celebrate, so I'll hit the draw button now.
15 Feb 21 UTC Wow! What a view...
15 Feb 21 UTC This is what WebDip is all about
15 Feb 21 UTC Good game all!
15 Feb 21 UTC GG everyone!
15 Feb 21 UTC Good game everyone.
15 Feb 21 UTC Good game with an extraordinary end. Thanks.
15 Feb 21 UTC Final tally: 21 Sea Zones involved in the convoy.

Of those 21, only 5 (Lesser Antilles, East Caribbean, Gulf of Mexico, Mid Pacific, and Coast of Mexico) were not strictly necessary to making the convoy work.

Still amazed. Thanks to everyone for working together to make my suggestion reality.
15 Feb 21 UTC God bless (shattered) America. This was fun to see.
16 Feb 21 UTC This was a fun way to end it. Otherwise it would have been a slow grind down to three, but this let us all go out on a high note.
16 Feb 21 UTC Next challenge : establish a convoy around the world on the world-variant-map. ;-)
