24 Nov 20 UTC Spring, 4: HA HA HA Exactly. I put in my moves and then forget about it. They are probably bad moves, but they are mine to make!
24 Nov 20 UTC Autumn, 4: Listeners, what in the hell?

Persia is invited in Cyrene?

The fleets of Sidon just abandoned, not even defending their native iron beaches from the ravaging parasites of Egyptian Tourists?

Greece CHOSE to retreat to Byzantinum, instead of defending the threatened shores of Miletus?

Do you want chaotic mythology and cultural appropriation which borders on continental cultural uniformity? BECAUSE THAT IS HOW YOU GET CHAOTIC MYTHOLOGY AND CULTURAL APPROPRIATION WHICH BORDERS ON CONTINENTAL CULTURAL UNIFORMITY!!

This is why we can't have nice things.

Hey, Persia, MAKE SURE YOU MOUNT A GODDAMN CROSS ON THE EGYPTIAN MASTABAS!

I will be retiring my announcers megaphone, to go search for some reason in this sea of chaos.

If you need me for any reason: don't.
If you still need me: sacrifice a child to Tanit and leave a message.
24 Nov 20 UTC Autumn, 4: PS.

EGYPT - make sure you plant some gnostic seeds alluding to Jesus of Nazareth being a sun cult.
24 Nov 20 UTC Autumn, 4: Dear Announcer:

I have sacrificed three children now and the locals are starting to get suspicious. What should I do?
24 Nov 20 UTC Autumn, 4: My primary objective has finally been met. We have colored the African portion of the map.

But will we finally fill in the rest of the Middle East and Europe by the end?
24 Nov 20 UTC Autumn, 4: You will never have Corsica!
24 Nov 20 UTC Autumn, 4: Dear Rome,

Thanks for replying. It is good to know this artifact does actually carry my voice to foreign lands. I'm not super sure about the context of your message, since the pervious broadcaster didn't leave any notes. Well, not notes I could read. The amphitheater we do our broadcasts from is covered with his claw marks. I suppose he was attempting to "leave his mark" on the station. (*chuckle* oh, if you can't laugh at your own jokes, whose can you laugh at?)

Anyway, we are actively trying to decipher the cryptic scratches, whole fingernails, and blood streaks. As soon as we have an answer, you will be 14th to know!

As for your question, it sounds like you're attempting child sacrifice. Carthage has a rich history of child sacrifice, so you've come to the right place for answers.

As with most workings of magic and invoking forces we can't possibly hope to control, I recommend you check with your local municipality to see how you can continue your sacrificial offerings in accordance with the established norms of your religions.

Here in Carthage, our most recommended method of sacrifice is "barbecue". I recommend having your local blacksmith hammer out a copper cylinder you can put spices and wines in. Once sewn into your offering, the following sacrifice is sure to create a smell the gods can't ignore!

As for the locals, have you posted signs clarifying if this is a "community sacrifice" or a "tortured soul beseeching favor of the gods sacrifice." if you let them know whether to bring plates for sharing or shovels for burying the blackened bones, they are much more likely to understand. Like most things in life, its all about good communication!
24 Nov 20 UTC Autumn, 4: Wow Carthage!

Your answers are great.

Apparently asking my local law enforcement put me at the top of the "Persons of Interest" list in some missing persons case.

I know this is abrupt, but could I move to your land to escape? Your advice wasn't timely enough in two ways.

1)- I already did the deed and didn't heed your communication warning in time (didn't read to the bottom... silly me!)

2)- I messed up the "methods of sacrifice" that you put out in your annual informational package. There are not many tentacled things running amuck, and while some would consider this sexy (and indeed have draw many comics to show this), the tentacles mostly rip things apart. Is there some sort of spray or product I can ships from the Amazons that will help with this infestation?

I believe we went wrong by instead of putting the spiced filled copper cylinder INSIDE the subject, we sewed the subject inside a copper cylinder and spoke words of awakening to the Old Ones. Silly Rome!

Remember at Rome we steal everything, including your religion! (TM)
27 Nov 20 UTC Autumn, 4: I've gone ahead and voted unpause.

I'm ready when everyone else is.
27 Nov 20 UTC Autumn, 4: Im going to vote to unpause after Saturday, Elliot and I have our second ceremony that day
30 Nov 20 UTC Autumn, 4: Why is the game still paused?
30 Nov 20 UTC Autumn, 4: CARTHAGE
30 Nov 20 UTC Autumn, 4: CAAAAAARTHAAAGE
30 Nov 20 UTC Autumn, 4: Also @Rome why draw? ?
30 Nov 20 UTC Autumn, 4: Because draws are hawt!
30 Nov 20 UTC Autumn, 4: Hahaha, good answer
30 Nov 20 UTC Autumn, 4: Oh man, I have moves saved from before. I'm not even going to look at them.
30 Nov 20 UTC Autumn, 4: You have the best moves. Everyone says you have the best moves. I heard James talking about how great your moves are.
01 Dec 20 UTC Autumn, 4: I have women telling me my moves are the best.

Heck, I have better than women, I have Charles Goodrum telling me this.
01 Dec 20 UTC Autumn, 4: Sounds like Donald Trump: "I have the best moves, everybody loves my moves."
01 Dec 20 UTC Autumn, 4: Egypt surrendered Sidon for Tyre?
01 Dec 20 UTC Autumn, 4: This map makes no sense!
02 Dec 20 UTC Autumn, 4: Yeah? You should write a broadcast about it.
03 Dec 20 UTC Spring, 5: your face doesn't make sense
03 Dec 20 UTC Spring, 5: Ouch. Philip with the sick icey burn.

That's cold dude.
04 Dec 20 UTC Spring, 5: That is I, Master repartee-er.
07 Dec 20 UTC Autumn, 5: I would like to make a nomination for the Golden Dagger Award:

== Autumn 04 ==
Greece: Army (Dacia > Chersonesus)
07 Dec 20 UTC Autumn, 5: Golden dagger award?!

Oh man, I need to step up my game!
07 Dec 20 UTC Autumn, 5: Hey Egypt, can I backstab you?
07 Dec 20 UTC Autumn, 5: By all means. I'm not even looking at you as a threat. It's the best time for the backstab.
07 Dec 20 UTC Autumn, 5: Cool!

Carthage, can I march through your territory to backstab Egypt?

If not that, can someone convoy me to Sinai?
07 Dec 20 UTC Autumn, 5: I can maybe convoy you to Miletus to backstab your Persian ally
07 Dec 20 UTC Autumn, 5: Golden Dagger is for the best backstab.
10 Dec 20 UTC Spring, 6: Will it happen?
10 Dec 20 UTC Spring, 6: Will what happen?
10 Dec 20 UTC Autumn, 6: With surprising results! James mentioned the Golden Dagger as he has stabs on his mind!
10 Dec 20 UTC Autumn, 6: I respect the Spartan gamble good sir.
10 Dec 20 UTC Autumn, 6: "Will it happen" was reference to wondering if the game will turn because Persia readies or because time ran out.
10 Dec 20 UTC Autumn, 6: Lets call it "the golden hourglass" - until the last grain of sand.
10 Dec 20 UTC Autumn, 6: @Pasta-Prince

Carthage will claim ALL Islands
10 Dec 20 UTC Autumn, 6: I will stare closely at Sicilia while furrowing my brow. That makes me as effective as Mitt Romney being unsettled.
10 Dec 20 UTC Autumn, 6: Who is Pasta Prince? For some reason I identify with that
11 Dec 20 UTC Autumn, 6: Congrats Persia! You made it to the West!
22 Jan 21 UTC Spring, 7: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
28 Jan 21 UTC Spring, 8: I'm missing something obvious. And it will be my downfall.
28 Jan 21 UTC Spring, 8: What do you think you are missing?
04 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 9: Every turn, I'm making my guess as to what Rome will do. Usually when see a different move it hints at a factor I value less than Rome must. A few moves violate this order, and my mind liquefies from overclocked attempts at reverse engineering.
04 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 9: The Spring 8 declaration was my "escape the calculation loop" alternative. Declaring "I'm missing something obvious. And it will be my downfall." is short for:

"I'm clearly missing something in some layer of this game. My lack of knowing this will have a domino effect ultimately resulting in my downfall. When I lose, I will take small consolation in the reality that I knew it began in this turn. I make this deal with my future self that I will beat myself up over NOT seeing something so retrospectively obvious instead of beating myself up NOW for not seeing something."
12 Feb 21 UTC Autumn, 10: You don't know it, but I've already won!
12 Feb 21 UTC Autumn, 10: I knew i fell for your trap.
