18 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1994: GL;HF
18 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1994: Good luck all. My first global messaging only game!

How does it work? Do we share strategy talk, just everyone knows? For example asking Egypt for a DMZ in Eastern Med, Syria and Iraq? ;^)
18 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1994: Yep, that's the idea.

Ukraine, want to ally against Russia? You and I will both be safer without a large power at our backs. I'll be supporting myself into Bielorussia this move, so feel free to plan accordingly.

Germany, on a similar note, let's keep things friendly. What are your plans for expansion this turn?
18 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1994: Poland - agreed - also Turkey, happy to stay friendly and agree on a DMZ/agreed border. Let me know your thoughts.
18 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1994: Ukraine. I would be happy to comply.

A DMZ in Western black sea? Bulgaria is mine, rumania is yours and we can go from there.

Do you want to move to Eastern black sea?
18 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1994: If you could support me in that would be good to facilitate attack on Rostov - all else agreed, including my support for you into Georgia.
18 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1994: Turkey, where do you grow once I'm gone if you ally with Ukraine and Egypt?
18 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1994: Turkey, I would happily comply with the DMZ you propose in Eastern Med, Syria and Iraq.
18 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1994: -ukraine: that could work I was thinking of heading to Georgia as Russia must let one of us in. Then in the fall we can each support the other into eastern black sea (or rostovov) and gerogia.

-russia: you do bring up a fair point. I could easily expand Eastward through the med. I would be willing to ally with you, but I already have a proposal from Ukraine. You only have 1 unit in the south. Honestly it will probably be obliterated. An alliance with Ukraine just seems better right now. I am open to any other proposals though.

Egypt: thank you I look forward to working together more

Any other nation: if you want to work together with me just give me a heads up (looking at you Italy, Spain, France, Germany, and Britian)
18 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1994: Russia he has plenty of room with Georgia, Iran Bulgaria and Greece for starters
18 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1994: Actually Russia - I am a bit surprised you aren't trying to talk Poland, Germany, England or I as your engagement surface with Egypt is tiny.
18 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1994: Poland, I'm certainly open to an alliance. I am a little concerned about your alliance with Ukraine though. Once Russia is dealt with where will the two of you expand? You seem to be allied with Turkey which leaves only my direction to travel in.
18 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1994: Germany - I think you are over-cooking it. We have merely sent out feelers and initial working opportunities to get us through early game, and that race for Centres before the real fun starts. One all that shakes out, then the picture will be clearer.
I think everyone needs to work out how they will get some initial growth before the neutral centres are all gone, and frankly picking on Russia as an Edge Nation is simply good tactics, not a Grand Strategy.

I'd love to hear from Italy regarding any Eastern adventures to minimise opening conflicts as well.
18 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1994: Italy, what are your movements in the Mediterranean? I'd rather you not be setting your sights on africa, but if you feel obliged to head south we should arrange a faitr distribution of libya and tunis.
18 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1994: Turkey, that's the fun part, you can take Rostov from me and we can work to squeeze Ukraine into a bloody pulp. My armies will rain down hell on the Ukranian troops. Together, we can obliterate that which Ukraine currently calls home. And then I can focus on Northern/Western expansion and you can focus on moving through the Med with Egypt towards Italy
18 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1994: Ukraine... I'm trying to work with Turkey as Poland and Ukraine seem quite content with trying to destroy me. I'd love to work with Germany against Poland, no doubts there...
18 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1994: Someone who writes posts like yours don't tend to engender much trust Russia. Just saying. "bloody pulp"? "rain down hell"? All you do is make people worry that you're a tad too vicious to trust. Try dialing it back a bit.
18 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1994: I won't rule out that possibility Russia. It will all depend on how the first few turns shape out and which alliances look steady and where they will target next.
18 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1994: Ukraine, how many public press games have you played?

Germany, that's as good of a response as I like. Thank you for your consideration
18 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1994: Russia - bugger all, but you sound nasty, and I'm a poor sensitive soul.
