01 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 2006: [Europe]:Yes, same here, I'd like to keep the pause to just the one week we had originally agreed upon. I will agree to a draw if another player drops out, but until then this game is far from over :)
09 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 2006: [Oz]:Everybody has to unpause for the game to start again, right?
09 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 2006: [Western-Canada]:right
09 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 2006: [India]:We need Quebec and Argentina now
10 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 2006: [Quebec]:i am here if you want to start again
11 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 2006: [Europe]:Technically if one player is the only person holding up the pause we can get a game mod to unpause the game for us (this occurred once in a previous game with me when a person dropped out)
14 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 2006: [Quebec]:now its my turn to take 1 week holidays next week, I have already voted for unpose, will try to log in from an interent cafe or something but if i dont make it carry on without me for a while, no probs!
14 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 2006: [Western-Canada]:If this gets out of hand, a draw would be the better option.
14 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 2006: [Oz]:Any options to break this pause is fine with me (even though to restart with Argentina as an inactive player might be a problem for me...), so I add cancel to the list.
16 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 2006: [Europe]:We could always get a moderator to unpause the game, then agree to only hold units in place until argentina misses 2 turns and goes into CD and then declare a draw. As much as I'd like to keep playing, losing Argentina would be unfair to Oz and thus a draw would be more appropriate.
19 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 2006: [Quebec]:i am back... still on pause here? i am in to any of the solutions suggested above.
19 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 2006: [Western-Canada]:Argentina is the one not coming back, and the only option he chose is the draw. If everybody else chooses draw, we will finally be able to finish the game.
19 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 2006: [India]:If Ghana and Europe vote for the draw, we can achieve it. Did anyone wrote the mods to unpause?
20 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 2006: [Europe]:I did today so hopefully in the next day or two this should be resolved. Once this is unpaused, I say we play the two rounds needed to get Argentina to be dropped for inactivity then declare a draw. No sense in him getting any points for this after causing us all this hassle!
21 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 2006: [China]:i kinda agree whith europe.
22 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 2006: [Oz]:I agree too. It would be even better if the mods could put Arg in CD.
22 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 2006: [Quebec]:funny thing is that Argentina was the one talking for life 'changing experiences' that do not let people come back after summer... maybe he saw it coming ;)
22 Aug 10 UTC Spring, 2007: [Argentina]:Yup, Sorry about that. I'm back. Yes, very funny. but that was the case.
22 Aug 10 UTC Spring, 2007: [Argentina]:Now lets draw anyway, what do you all say?
22 Aug 10 UTC Spring, 2007: [Western-Canada]:Well, I am still all for it. There are just two votes missing.
27 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 2007: [Argentina]:hey. didin't think I'd make the deadline. Just inched in. School stuff. Sorry, but i'm glad there were retreats that lasted until today. good times.
30 Aug 10 UTC Spring, 2008: [Argentina]:welp, all outliers have been eliminated, looks like its up to the big boys india and europe to decide whether or not to draw.
30 Aug 10 UTC Spring, 2008: [Europe]:I personally see no need to draw. No one dropped out or missed any turns as a result of the pause. This game is far from being at an impasse (which is the point of the draw option). We still have almost half the original players in the game!
03 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 2008: [Russia]:Well now you don't - of course when a draw was all but agreed apart from getting Ghana out the way you weren't in such a good position. Yeah, I was shuffling a bit with China but no progress was being made, we all thought a draw was coming. I was never likely to win anyway, and I don't mind that, but it seems a bit handy now you and India are making hay you have less interest in a draw.
03 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 2008: [Europe]:At no point did I ever agree to a draw and have never voted as such. I said I would agree to a draw *if*, during the pause, a number of people dropped out and the game was thrown off whack as a result. Since that did not happen, I don't see a need for a draw. Draws are designed for when the game is at an impasse, not when most of the original players are still in the game and there is tons of playability left.
03 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 2008: [Oz]:I hate to ask this after the long break we already had, but would it be possible to pause the game until Monday? I will be away in the woods this week-end, with no access to the internet.
03 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 2008: [Quebec]:sure
03 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 2008: [Europe]:I agree to a pause until Monday
04 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 2008: [Europe]:No need to vote for the pause anymore, as long as Argentina and Russia don't finalize orders we will not have a turn change until Monday, which will give Oz enough time to enter orders
04 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 2008: [Europe]:Or even if they do finalize, the build turn is another two day cycle so we can delay it until after Oz returns as he doesn't need to enter orders for that phase
06 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 2008: [Oz]:I am back!
14 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 2009: [Oz]:Darn! Me against the rest of the world!
I feel like I'm 15 again!
14 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 2009: [Oz]:Sorry, Argentina. You're still fighting and fighting bravely.
16 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 2010: [Quebec]:yeah he wasnt very lucky in this game but he wont complain
17 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 2010: [Argentina]:Fight! Mechanical Shooting Machine!
08 Oct 10 UTC Spring, 2013: [India]:Yeahh! Recife to Yakutsk is a win!
08 Oct 10 UTC Spring, 2013: [Western-Canada]:I am open for a 5way draw. What do you say? Otherwise we would have to pause the game again, because I am without internet from October 16-24.
08 Oct 10 UTC [Europe]:Omg that was an epic convoy!! lol

I'd be open to a five way instead of yet another pause
08 Oct 10 UTC [India]:I agree with the 5 way draw. Maybe we can continue a few turns, but do it for the 15 october.
08 Oct 10 UTC [Oz]:I think my answer is obvious :-)
09 Oct 10 UTC [Quebec]:yeah anything you guys say, i dont mind. 5 way draw for this game is good enough for all

by the way the marines from Amazon in Recife to the Siberian Yakutsk are somewhat sea-sick by now...
09 Oct 10 UTC [Oz]:If we all agree, why do we have to wait until 10/15?
09 Oct 10 UTC [India]:Just for the fun of playing a few more seasons ;)
10 Oct 10 UTC [Europe]:This definitely has been a fun game . . . I'm up for continuing until 10/15. Quite frankly, I don't think anyone is going to get wiped out before then anyway.
10 Oct 10 UTC [India]:I think also no one could be wiped during the last days, and i'd like to see how the current war could evolve ;)
11 Oct 10 UTC [India]:Should I draw now?
11 Oct 10 UTC [Western-Canada]:I'd say yes.
11 Oct 10 UTC [Quebec]:yes mate, go ahead
11 Oct 10 UTC [Oz]:Yes, I think it is time. WC is done being nice to me... ;-)
11 Oct 10 UTC [Quebec]:thanks all for the game!
