08 Jul 19 UTC Spring, 1901: Never played anything like 1 on 1 before. Should be interesting! Good luck
08 Jul 19 UTC Spring, 1901: Hello my austrian friend.
1 on 1 tactics are really different to Classic game tactics.
I've played a few of these games and, although it may seem obvious, I try to keep in mind that the aim of the game is to be the first to gain 18 SC...
Good luck.
08 Jul 19 UTC Autumn, 1901: Thank you. I ended up looking up a basic openings and strategy guide so hopefully that will serve me well
08 Jul 19 UTC Autumn, 1902: I've just tried out some new opening moves...
They don't seem to be quite as brilliant as I had hoped.
09 Jul 19 UTC Spring, 1903: Yeah I don't think you got enough SCs early to keep up unfortunately.
09 Jul 19 UTC Autumn, 1903: Oh well. At least your first 1 on 1 is likely to be a success !
10 Jul 19 UTC Autumn, 1903: Indeed! Even in traditional Diplomacy one misstep can be incredibly costly unfortunately.
10 Jul 19 UTC Autumn, 1903: and sometimes your neighbors choosing to plot against you does it for you.
10 Jul 19 UTC Spring, 1904: Well, for a change, you could choose not to plot against me < ; 0 )
11 Jul 19 UTC Autumn, 1904: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
12 Jul 19 UTC Spring, 1905: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
12 Jul 19 UTC Spring, 1905: Apologies for my predecessor. I'll try to ready up moves quickly.
12 Jul 19 UTC Good game and well played. I know I didn't do much, but I appreciate the finishing out.
12 Jul 19 UTC Thanks for the game.
