23 May 19 UTC Spring, 1901: Sup party people
23 May 19 UTC Spring, 1901: Hey everyone! Good luck!
23 May 19 UTC Spring, 1901: Just as a reminder to everyone: if you "save" your orders, you get a grey checkmark. Your moves will resolve when the season ends. If you "ready" your orders, they will resolve when the season ends or when all other players have readied their orders.
25 May 19 UTC Spring, 1901: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
04 Jun 19 UTC Autumn, 1902: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
04 Jun 19 UTC Autumn, 1902: We'll advance at some point, I'm sure. ;)
05 Jun 19 UTC Autumn, 1902: Allons-y!
05 Jun 19 UTC Autumn, 1902: Iiiim allliiive!
05 Jun 19 UTC Autumn, 1902: Seriously though, sorry about that. Got caught up with baby stuff over the weekend
09 Jun 19 UTC Spring, 1903: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
20 Jun 19 UTC Spring, 1904: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
22 Jun 19 UTC Spring, 1904: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
22 Jun 19 UTC Spring, 1904: This is hilarious. I was on vacation and completely forgot about the game and I'm NOT the one that delayed it.
23 Jun 19 UTC Spring, 1904: We are in the process of moving to our new house this week and it has been absolute chaos. Also, we now have a house in Rhode Island if anyone wants to visit!
23 Jun 19 UTC Spring, 1904: Awesome! Congrats!
23 Jun 19 UTC Spring, 1904: No worries, this is why we have the "excused missed turns" (delays)!

Incidentally, if five of you would be interested in a simultaneous Mediterranean game with maybe a faster turn cycle... Lemme know!
23 Jun 19 UTC Spring, 1904: I'd be open to it especially now that I'm back from vacay
24 Jun 19 UTC Spring, 1904: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
24 Jun 19 UTC Spring, 1904: So what happens if France or Germany don't enter orders again? Do their units just not move and things otherwise proceed normally?
24 Jun 19 UTC Spring, 1904: Yes indeed.
24 Jun 19 UTC Spring, 1904: Perhaps then a gentle email nudge to our two wayward powers is in order.
26 Jun 19 UTC Spring, 1904: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
26 Jun 19 UTC Spring, 1904: I assume now that France has run out of delays, we are all being given the opportunity to put in new orders with the understanding that French forces will not be taking any action this turn?
26 Jun 19 UTC Spring, 1904: Yes, that is correct.
30 Jun 19 UTC Spring, 1904: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
02 Jul 19 UTC Autumn, 1904: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
03 Jul 19 UTC Autumn, 1904: I feel like the most exciting part of this game is whether or not everyone gets their moves in.
06 Jul 19 UTC Should we just draw now?
06 Jul 19 UTC I'll put in my vote for a draw. We can do it now or after a couple more players are eliminated - my frenemies' choice.
07 Jul 19 UTC That's fine. The game is basically over.
07 Jul 19 UTC If it were a normal game, I'd be pushing for solo victory at this point. But since we had a major player leave the game, that wouldn't be fair.

Please let me know (via chat here or email) if you'd like to give this another go. I'd propose shorter turns (24 hours) to make it easier to remember to put in moves. Also fewer excused missed turns to keep things moving along. Maybe a couple new players would like to jump in, as well.
08 Jul 19 UTC GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
08 Jul 19 UTC I'd be interested in another go.
08 Jul 19 UTC I'd be willing to play again, but don't know that a 24 hour cycle is realistic. We all have busy lives and that means if you are away from a computer for a single day (a conference, travel, or sick kid) you'd miss the turn. Even a busy day would prevent you from doing more than putting in orders, making it hard to communicate and coordinate with allies before the deadline.

That said I missed two turns this time around, so not sure I have much legitimacy.
09 Jul 19 UTC Whoops. Austria, shall we just draw?
09 Jul 19 UTC Valid points, Austria. What about something in between? 24 hour cycles to keep it exciting - but also sufficient excused absences for real life events. We can also try the smaller/shorter 5-person Ancient Mediterranean map.
10 Jul 19 UTC Oh sorry didn't realize it needed to be unanimous. Do we also need to get France to rejoin and vote?
10 Jul 19 UTC Well, that's it! I'll put together an Ancient Med game and will email the link.
