19 Apr 19 UTC	Spring, 8: Can anybody help. I understand the concept of stabbing your ally to win the game. I cannot get my head around stabbing your ally to let somebody else win!

21 Apr 19 UTC	Spring, 9: I still dont understand why I had to be eliminated to draw. Surely not for the 1 point I am worth. I deserve a survive for the fight I have put up. You need players who do not throw in the towel once they realise they cannot win. People who walk away ruin the balance for the remaining players. Those players who fight on deserve recognition.

23 Apr 19 UTC	Great game, all. Egypt, I would only have done that if you pursued a solo. I don‘t like that it implies distrust and an unspoken accusation. But, I have learned that it is prudent to be prepared.

23 Apr 19 UTC	Well, really a 4-way draw in a 5 player game is kind of ridiculous, and the split we ended up with was one of the ones we actually agreed to at the start of the game. I was working with both Greece and Persia for several turns, until Persia made a big enough mistake I just had to exploit it. Even if Persia/Greece had played out differently, you still would have been on the chopping block. That's just the Fate of Rome when Carthage and Egypt don't stab each other.

Where is the skill in that . 3 onto 2 player s will always win: I say if you want to draw go to an art class and leave this game for ' Players'. I would have had fa more respect for you had you gone for the solo by eliminating Greece and failed.
23 Apr 19 UTC	We didn't necessarily plan to draw, but we did plan a 3 way alliance. As I said, I also did the same with Persia, and where is he now? I got the best finish I could, and the game is called "Diplomacy", not "Failed Gloryhounds". Maybe if you'd played politics better, you'd have won.
23 Apr 19 UTC	That's my point you planned to draw between 3 of you so the remaining 2 players had no chance. When Greece stabbed me it was three onto 1. So where was the skill in that. Politics doesn't come into it when you are playing somebody who is just interested in points grabbing not playing to win. Normal play is adjust loyalties to prevent one player winning maybe resulting in a stalemate.

23 Apr 19 UTC	I was actually kind of proud of that. I kept my options open for quite some time before I had to commit to choosing who to stab. It could have gone either way.
23 Apr 19 UTC	It's also interesting to note that Rome never even tried to talk me into stabbing Carthage. And there was at least one point where I likely would have done that.
