04 Mar 19 UTC Well played gents, fun game
04 Mar 19 UTC Agreed. I only stabbed at the end because I wanted to finish the game.

Compliments to France for being such a great partner. This would have been an Austrua win for sure if not for your vision.
04 Mar 19 UTC I don't think an Austrian win was ever on the table. German solo was locked though.
04 Mar 19 UTC I'm not complaining haha, and I appreciate the loyalty of a draw at this point, Germany; saw the stab coming and would have given a fight, but I think Italy has it right and you could have had that solo. Thanks for the draw, you were great to work with :)
04 Mar 19 UTC I think that if France decided to fight by 1906 and I had to defend against them that Austria would have had a pretty easy time grabbing the Balkans and Italian SCs since France and I were so evenly matched and would need to fight full force.

I'm not a big believer in the solo. I think the really interesting part of diplomacy is learning how to cooperate and trust. The idea that you are either first or you're lunch is against my ethos and though I think competition is healthy, cooperation is stronger.
04 Mar 19 UTC Well said bud
04 Mar 19 UTC I was trying to work together with you, Austria :-(
04 Mar 19 UTC Ya, sorry about that Claesar - I saw an opportunity to solo at the time and couldn't resist.
04 Mar 19 UTC And that is why I resist the temptation to solo, it is more likely to lead to defeat. Mad dogs can kill someone but they can't build an empire. The cooperation between France and I made us too strong to resist. Together we had twice as many SCs as you did on your own and you couldn't possibly survive that.
