13 May 18 UTC Spring, 1901: Moderator: (ghug): Welcome to the 2018 Gunboat Tournament!

You've been placed into seven games. If you're not in seven games, you haven't received each power exactly once, or you feel you've been put in the tournament in error, please contact me as soon as possible.

Games have been paused to ensure that nobody misses a phase due to the abnormal nature of the game starts. If you have not voted unpause by Wednesday, May 15th, I will contact you and begin docking from your seven days of allocated pause time in one day increments. If you need a pause, please let me know.

Good luck!
15 May 18 UTC Spring, 1901: Moderator: (ghug): This game will remain paused until Saturday.
20 May 18 UTC Spring, 1901: Moderator: (ghug): There's another player missing from this one, so it'll be paused a bit longer. They'll be replaced next week if they don't show up.
18 Jun 18 UTC Spring, 1902: Moderator: (Yoyoyozo): Game unpaused. If this is an erroneous unpause, please send an email to webdipmod@gmail.com.
11 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 1902: Moderator: (ghug): Unpaused. Apologies for the extended delay.
15 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 1903: Moderator: (bo_sox48): Paused for the missing player.

13 Aug 18 UTC Spring, 1906: Moderator: (dargorygel): Paused by request... please vote unpause, and when the requesting player returns, they can unpause, too. If this does NOT occur by Monday, 20 August, please email us. Thanks and have fun!
25 Aug 18 UTC Spring, 1906: Moderator: (dargorygel): Unpaused, and reset time to 36 hours. Please write if this is not agreeable. Enjoy!

02 Oct 18 UTC Spring, 1913: Moderator: (ghug): Unpaused
09 Oct 18 UTC Autumn, 1914: Moderator: (ghug): Paused to replace Russia.
09 Oct 18 UTC Autumn, 1914: Moderator: (ghug): Unpaused
30 Oct 18 UTC Autumn, 1919: Moderator: (ghug): I have to replace Italy...
16 Nov 18 UTC gg, well played.
16 Nov 18 UTC GG both of you. Thanks.
16 Nov 18 UTC Jesus christ who refused to draw for the last 10 years what a waste of time.
16 Nov 18 UTC That was incredibly painful
16 Nov 18 UTC Not Italy, if that narrows it down for you...
16 Nov 18 UTC The game had been faster, if everybody had used the ready button.
16 Nov 18 UTC There was no reason for it to even get to 1925. And I did use it.
16 Nov 18 UTC In Autumn, 1919 Italy was replaced, so I wanted to see what new Italy does, because I did not know his identity.
By the way, there was a chance for a 2 way draw.
16 Nov 18 UTC I considered to retreat from Western Med and North Africa in order to give Russia the chance to attack Italy, but then I decided to vote draw.
16 Nov 18 UTC Well, thanks for ending it Germany, and congrats for making it to the final round of the tournament.
16 Nov 18 UTC Oh man.. You made the cut and still dragged this game out that long? Wow....
16 Nov 18 UTC Well, I'm going to suggest taht part of the reason Java is making the cut is because he doesn't reach draws prematurely. It wasn't a great chance of a solo, but I don't think it was truly foreclosed until about now.

Certainly, a solo was possible in Spring 1923. Had Autumn 1923 gone differently, he'd have won.

For what that's worth, which isn't much. I got absolutely pummelled in this tournament, so maybe don't listen to me.
16 Nov 18 UTC I don't see any 50/50 he could have won. I think spring '23 is when he for sure lost.
16 Nov 18 UTC Maybe his strategy is drawing games out to oblivion but let me tell you it was not fun.
16 Nov 18 UTC I did not play in the tournament. I only helped out ghug
16 Nov 18 UTC Thanks, Ogion. +1
17 Nov 18 UTC Oh not fun, but running a 10% to ground is kind of a lusthog approach.
