19 Dec 17 UTC Autumn, 1908: English Channel Fleet I mean. He convoyed the army to Belgium. What a dufus!
19 Dec 17 UTC Autumn, 1908: Well I was wondering about that and meant to ask the mods. I may be rusty on the convoy rules, but that convoy was purposely done to cut Picardys support of your Burgundy move, I wanted the bounce there. Not sure why it's strength didn't count. I guess I could have just attacked with the fleet...
19 Dec 17 UTC Autumn, 1908: I didn't attack with the fleet though in case you made some crazy move out of Picardy. The fleet would have moved in and allowed a retreat to the channel.
19 Dec 17 UTC Autumn, 1908: The English Channel Admiral ordered the fleet to convoy the army to Belgium. The General in Wales ordered his troops to Picardy. That's why you (Darth Vader) choked out the Admiral. We all know you remember his red face and eyes bugging out as you squeezed the life from him . . . poor bugger serving a tyrant.
19 Dec 17 UTC Autumn, 1908: Is there anyone other than Italy or Turkey who you have not stabbed in this game?
19 Dec 17 UTC Autumn, 1908: The attack was to cut support from Picardy for your move to Burgundy. I used the convoy in case you instead moved Picardy. My question is why my attack didn't cut your support, it should have resulted in a bounce in Burgundy.

Also I did not stab Austria.
19 Dec 17 UTC Autumn, 1908: Because F English Channel convoyed A Wales to Belgium rather than Picardy.
19 Dec 17 UTC Autumn, 1908: Oh shit, now I see. (Force Lightning engaged)
20 Dec 17 UTC Spring, 1909: Blasphemy! You tapped the Dark Side.
22 Dec 17 UTC Autumn, 1909: Ok.
I decided not to kill you all this time.
But know that I could if I wanted to.
22 Dec 17 UTC Autumn, 1909: (GG, have fun)
22 Dec 17 UTC Autumn, 1909: good game to you as well.
24 Dec 17 UTC Autumn, 1910: Well boys I'm ready for the draw. I made far too many mistakes, culminating in failing to save a move change, resulting in me destroying my allied army and not getting into position in Prussia. I think Italy has a better solo shot at this point than me.
24 Dec 17 UTC Autumn, 1910: I'm also prepared to draw.
24 Dec 17 UTC Spring, 1911: The first build since 1901! Praise be to his High Holiness!!
24 Dec 17 UTC Spring, 1911: Russia you hung in there pretty damn tough. I almost regret activating my hidden orders for France and Italy to eliminate you.

Nevertheless...execute Order 67.
24 Dec 17 UTC Spring, 1911: You want to eliminate me now? For what purpose, may I ask? It's not DSS so that doesn't even matter...
24 Dec 17 UTC Spring, 1911: Dude I'm just having fun. Only a joke.
25 Dec 17 UTC Spring, 1911: Sorry, I'm a little edgy. I was just pissed because I stayed in here for like nine years of me with minimal SCs and I'd have been very upset if it was all for not.
25 Dec 17 UTC Spring, 1911: So, draw...?
25 Dec 17 UTC Spring, 1911: What to say... Congrats France for having lose half of your points
25 Dec 17 UTC Spring, 1911: I see your strategy wasn't so good as you thought
25 Dec 17 UTC Spring, 1911: Yes, Austria, that was a good move by England. However, if you were bigger, he would have an even better chance at solo.
25 Dec 17 UTC Spring, 1911: Happy Christmas everyone
25 Dec 17 UTC Spring, 1911: Merry Christmas
25 Dec 17 UTC Does this mean we continue fighting?
25 Dec 17 UTC Also, happy Christmas all!
25 Dec 17 UTC Only continues until Russia has reclaimed Warsaw and Rumania, which lie under the tyrannical French/Italian empire. England tried hard to free the people from this oppression, but it looks like we will not succeed.
25 Dec 17 UTC Good game by everyone though. I had a shot for the solo, but two unforced errors ended that. The failed convoy, then bouncing Austria at St P by mistake.
25 Dec 17 UTC I can't believe I survived that onslaught. G frickin g y'all
25 Dec 17 UTC You had no shot at the solo as long as Russia, Italy and I remained allied. It was a good stab though. I think I would have soloed if you had not stabbed me.
25 Dec 17 UTC That French Italian alliance in this game was awesome. We completely reversed Austria, who was topping at the time we started coordinating.
25 Dec 17 UTC Yeah but you ended up with less point than when I proposed you to take italy
25 Dec 17 UTC Of course, against my position your alliance was terribly effective
25 Dec 17 UTC GG everybody. I had no right being so successful, France was a generous, genius throughout!
25 Dec 17 UTC I think I had a decent shot. When I botched the convoy that cost me terribly. Then my last move was supposed to go to Prussia, with Austria falling back to St P to be supported by my fleet. I believe I would have had Berlin, and Munich not far behind that. Then it's a very different finish as I build a couple more armies, and deposit them eventually in Prussia/Livonia. Who knows, maybe not.
26 Dec 17 UTC I knew you were stabbing because of your comment about moving into Russia. It was an obvious deception. Hope sometimes clouds our perception. On that stab turn, I should have moved to Kiel. In the Diplomacy phase, I shouldn't have blurted out my plan to move away from your border. Made your stab decision easier.

If I could have continued one more turn with England as an ally, then a simultaneous stab of Italy and you would have likely been pretty devastating, and I could have maybe gotten a fleet into English Channel.
26 Dec 17 UTC Austria, points don't matter. Only solos count.
26 Dec 17 UTC Yeah, I figured it was coming...actually I thought it may happen that turn. I assumed your comment about moving away was at best a half truth, which turned out to be pretty much the case. If I was you I would have also stabbed that turn.
26 Dec 17 UTC alright, now I understand your behaviour...
26 Dec 17 UTC I was going to execute the stab that turn. I thought long and hard about doing so. However, I figured that if I could go just one more move, it would finish off Austria. I was hoping you would continue to move into Russia, which in hindsight, I should have recognized was not happening. But, I was still a bit worried that Austria would ally with you and make the stab of Italy counter-productive. Therefore, I delayed. I also knew that Italy was a really good reliable ally so that stabbing early would be a mistake.
26 Dec 17 UTC Ally, toady, these words mean virtually the same thing!
26 Dec 17 UTC Yes, exactly.
26 Dec 17 UTC Also, Italy, if I were you, at the end of that game I would have stabbed me. You had a very legit shot at the solo.
26 Dec 17 UTC I agree. Italy you needed more bloodlust there. If nothing else, Grace could have been taken down or eliminated entirely.
27 Dec 17 UTC I just didn't want to offend anyone, given my poor play at the beginning. Being in a position of power because of others generosity made it feel wrong. Also, I felt I was the weakest tactician in the game, too risky.
27 Dec 17 UTC If you had asked, I probably would have thought about throwing it to you just to punish England for stabbing me.
28 Dec 17 UTC I've done that before. Although more along the lines of suicidal all-out assault on the stabber. I die, but he gets no points. That's the goal there.
28 Dec 17 UTC Well, maybe next game I'll feel more confident.
28 Dec 17 UTC You played a smart patient game. Keep doing that in the future. Just be prepared to take advantage of situations that develop. Sometimes you don't even need to create a strategy, it opens up for you.
