15 Oct 17 UTC good game everyone. Thought about going for a solo, but should have taken two from France turn to get a jump, now if I go for a solo,it could likely hand the solo to turkey, so I'll take the three way draw, good game
15 Oct 17 UTC Gg, I would had definitely given Turkey the solo if you had attacked me, so good choice. And well done not getting too greedy earlier. Turkey had a great solo chance
15 Oct 17 UTC in hindsight, I think I should have grabbed Brest and Holland, this turn, and then I might have been able to get through Gibraltar before turkey. The bigger problem was Berlin and Munich would be very tough to hold fighting both of you.
15 Oct 17 UTC and true the cooperation earlier to stop a Turkish solo was good. too bad Germany didn't see it. Had Germany just setup his lines against Turkey, and not attacked France, Germany would still be here to share the draw. As soon as I saw Germany attack France instead of setting up his lines. My thinking was this:

- I am trying to stop a Turkish solo
- France is trying to stop a Turkish solo
- Germany attacks France
- therefore Germany is helping turkey to solo
- time for Germany to die.
15 Oct 17 UTC We can fake play it out. Hame would had ended in a Turkey solo. I’m very good at throwing games
15 Oct 17 UTC I agree about Germany. It was particularly baffling since I defended him so much against you
15 Oct 17 UTC i even withdrew from Germany to let him rebuild his armies to set up his lines, adn what did he do with the extra armies, set up the line? no, attack France.

German move to Burgundy in fall of 1910 and then in to Marseilles signed his death warrant.

Had he set up the full line against Turkey, we both would have let him do it of course.
15 Oct 17 UTC that's true you went way, way out of your way to defend him. And eventually I gave up, pulled out of Kiel, he gets to finally play again and rebuild, and what is his first action? Attack France??? wierd.
15 Oct 17 UTC and then that disband in in fall of 1911, He disbanded Holland and kept Burgundy on the map? That's like "Hey France, to properly thank you for defending me for all those turns, I'll just shove Burgundy up your ass, and give Holland to my good buddy England..."
15 Oct 17 UTC by the way guak, it's very unusual to see another strategic gunboat player, you play like I do, not for SC, for for strategic positions and relationships.

Most people measure their success by their SC count, and nothing could be further from the truth.

Success in gunboat comes from

- Building relationships
- Positional power of your units, not the number of units you have.

Relationships are built with communication via moves and orders and signalling intent.

Positional power is very, very different than SC count, of course.

Most people just follow their nose to the nearest easy SC to take without much strategic though at all.
15 Oct 17 UTC I fully agree with you. Some people mistakenly think there is no diplomacy in gunboats. I actually think there’s more diplomacy
15 Oct 17 UTC yes, quite a bit, but most do not pay attention to it, or even try it.
16 Oct 17 UTC Thanks for the lesson. Us very New to the Game and Just tries Out stuff :-)
18 Oct 17 UTC guys, we need five more people for this huge EPIC game of OPEN PRESS World Dip, will be hilarious fun!
