15 Jul 17 UTC | Spring, 1999: Good luck |
15 Jul 17 UTC | Autumn, 1999: Hey Heartland, can I have Kansas? |
15 Jul 17 UTC | Autumn, 1999: Florida, I'd appreciate you vacating the Strait of Florida. |
15 Jul 17 UTC | Autumn, 1999: sure. the Mouse already has more than its share of caribbean pirates, and I'm sure Castro has a long list of enemies to... peruse. |
16 Jul 17 UTC | Spring, 2000: hi new your . i would apreciate a little help if possible :D |
16 Jul 17 UTC | Spring, 2000: Unless you'd rather send help my way ;) just let me know what I can do to return the favour if you decide to help me |
16 Jul 17 UTC | Spring, 2000: Anyone offering ice-cream? |
16 Jul 17 UTC | Spring, 2000: What flavour? |
16 Jul 17 UTC | Autumn, 2000: @Cuba: please consider moving to East Coast this turn to bounce New York. That should be enough to dissuade him from further attack (after all, ice cream is best stored in colder climates), and would help maintain fewer fleets in our neighborhood, which is beneficial to us both. |
17 Jul 17 UTC | Autumn, 2000: @New York: c'mon... I think it should be clear from the board that Quebec can and will press his unit advantage to beat Heartland (especially with Kansas and Missouri units unavailable) almost as quickly as California takes over BC. That means in a couple years, *even in a best case scenario* where you've taken 4 or so sc's from me, you'd *still* be up against a Quebec that stretches from Nova Scotia to Chicago whose option are either to attack a unified, far-away west, OR to stab the close neighbor who's turned all his units southbound. And that's not even mentioning the strengthened Cuba who'll want those sc's of mine you've taken. Turning your back on a growing corner power is just just asking for trouble... can't you just let me head west in peace? /rant |
17 Jul 17 UTC | Autumn, 2000: NY i promise i will not cross the river zone to the east |
17 Jul 17 UTC | Autumn, 2000: The mid Atlantic Ocean is to the east of the river. |
17 Jul 17 UTC | Spring, 2001: Oh that fleet. Captain is drunk... |
19 Jul 17 UTC | Autumn, 2001: Public Press is much more interesting when people actually talk..! Anyways, new Texas. If you're here to stay, I propose a cease-fire. I'd trade you SA and NL for Dallas and Houston. Sure, not ideal: I'd have two of your home sc's, but we'd have a nice small boundary between us and you could go soak up Mexican sc's, and I could send my fleets back east without worrying about losing ground. |
19 Jul 17 UTC | Autumn, 2001: Yes. Like someone will belive a big power will immediate became friendly after taking your land piece by piece. |
19 Jul 17 UTC | Autumn, 2001: I don't know. Just like I think any reasonable person can see that Quebec will turn on you, I think any reasonable person can see that I clearly don't have the resources to finish off Texas, and therefore would be searching for a way to stop fighting him. |
