27 Mar 17 UTC Spring, 1902: I'm ready to progress if everyone else is.
27 Mar 17 UTC Spring, 1902: Same
27 Mar 17 UTC Spring, 1902: Would be nice to progress early if we can, I just realized I'm playing six or seven games and they've all synced up so orders are due at the same time every day.
27 Mar 17 UTC Spring, 1902: Rip
27 Mar 17 UTC Autumn, 1902: Saw that one coming....
30 Mar 17 UTC Spring, 1903: Lol just saw this buuuut...... that's what she said lololol
04 Apr 17 UTC Spring, 1904: Ready if everyone else is.
05 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1904: Well, at least I can't feel bad about misplaying.
05 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1904: Can't even stand up with all the daggers in my back weighing me down.
05 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1904: It's better to fall forward than backwards though. Good life advice too lol
05 Apr 17 UTC Spring, 1905: Quoting Shakespeare at me, eh? I bet I can find something good about betrayal from him...
05 Apr 17 UTC Spring, 1905: Et tu, Brute?
06 Apr 17 UTC Spring, 1905: ^
06 Apr 17 UTC Spring, 1905: That would make more sense coming from Italy instead of against it though
11 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1906: Prince to the Pauper
13 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1907: Fwiw, my draw vote has been up forever and will stay up.
15 Apr 17 UTC Spring, 1908: Did I just CD?
17 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1908: Pretty powerful move to ANK. There was no disputing that one.
17 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1908: I know, I'm really starting to snowball now
17 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1908: Haha
17 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1908: Deuces y'all. I'm moving to Sardinia where none of y'all can get me haha
20 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1909: I've just realised what's happening... They're going for a primary colours victory! That seems terribly colour-ist
21 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1909: Heck, two of you aren't even secondary...filthy diluted colors!
21 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1909: Brown is beautiful
21 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1909: Go be beautiful on a different continent!
21 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1909: The reds are tired of having their land stolen from them... it's time to flip the script!
25 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1910: Well, looks like Austria finally went for the solo. As expected of the person who stabbed me year 1
25 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1910: And year 3
25 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1910: Yeah, I'm proud of you for holding off as well as you did, but I'm not sure it was time yet. Another year or so and you might've been able to jump straight to 18, or at least 17
25 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1910: The mistake with jumping into Serb because of the nmr did it. I wasn't going to stab, at least not that early. But, I figured just go with it lol. I highly doubt I'll have any chance to solo
25 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1910: Greece*
26 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1910: FYI, there was a major tussle over BER in the year just gone and just to be clear and let you know, AUST took it 3-2 versus opposition from RUSSIA and myself.

I just felt this update was necessary because it was pretty unclear from looking at the visual map.
26 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1910: About whether the timing was right, this is a subject for sharing a beer over after the Game ;-). Right now we're all Players to the biggest event currently happening in Webdiplomacy (well I think anyway....).
Austria is playing into a fractured North with Four Powers still vying for pecking order and survival. Austria races against Northern dis-Alliance.
27 Apr 17 UTC Spring, 1911: I'm not actually sure what I was thinking with these orders....whoops?
27 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: If Austria doesn't solo I'm going to be really disappointed lol. It's all but in the bag
28 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1911: Why did everyone attack Russia suddenly? Yall could have taken Berlin
03 May 17 UTC Autumn, 1913: Good luck and goodbye, everyone!
05 May 17 UTC Ok everyone, I put in my draw vote
05 May 17 UTC Hopefully you gents will do the same
05 May 17 UTC Good game everyone. Solid game by Austria
05 May 17 UTC This was really an amazing Game, so thankyou to ALL Players. I will be writing a fuller EOG across the next 24hrs if anyone would like to care to read it.
05 May 17 UTC This was a great game! Wish I could of finished strong, but I still had a great time and you guys outsmarted me quite a few times
05 May 17 UTC A good game, though I get to face the irony of starting a game called "Friendship is Forever" and being stabbed constantly. :p
05 May 17 UTC That was a lot of fun. Sorry you got cut out there at the end, Turkey. You were instrumental in making an Austrian solo impossible.
05 May 17 UTC I really enjoyed how our coalition came together at the end there.
06 May 17 UTC EOG England

In 1901 I opened to the Channel. This is always what I reckon is the best opening for England for a maximum defensive start, and then I forced my way into BEL in Autumn-1901. In hindsight the BEL move was a mistake as I annoyed FRA and GER. The old adage of BEL applies here – that it should only be taken by an agreement between two Powers.

In 1902 I sneakily occupied BRE as a desperation move – because I knew that a FRA Fleet build was coming and I was keen to avoid that outcome.

My Diplomatic options at this point were much limited because GER wasn’t talking to me, and RUS had by now occupied NWY. My choices were to deal with FRA or nothing.

1903 my situation got even more desperate as FRA snuck into IRI and I was reduced to 3 SC’s. At that point I coined a great Diplomatic initiative to invite the Russian Army into England to help me defend it.

RUS then parked in England for the next three Years and helped me to defend it. I was resolute that I’d throw England to RUSSIA rather than succumb to a French invasion.

1906 I was reduced to 2 SC’s but I doggedly hung on and defended desperately to hang on at all costs. Luckily I managed to second guess and predict a few of the FRA moves and stopped him convoying to the Island.

I then managed to stabilise for a few years as I helped RUS and FRA to invade against GER. That was shortlived and FRA came back to try to invade the Island again.
By this stage AUSTRIA was well and truly on the path to a Solo in the South.

We three in the North managed to bury our enmities and crafted an excellent response to AUSTRIA’s attempted Solo.

Credit to AUSTRIA to go for the Solo. I do think that he went a Year (or two) too early. FRA and myself would have just kept fighting had AUSTRIA not moved against Turkey, such was the depth of conflict between the two of us.

If Turkey had pushed through the MED, I honestly reckon that we would have busted FRA and you would have been in the DRAW, but Turkey dithered around in ITALY and didn’t effectively get to expose the Iberian.

Overall I was pretty happy with this Game, to survive and come back from 2 SC’s was testament to some gutsy defence.

Thanks to ALL Players – this was an excellent game and was extremely balanced for a long time. There was no Two Power alliance that drove the Start game.

Cheers, Damo player of England.
06 May 17 UTC Had a great time England!!! The stab of turkey was a bit too early, but if I had played autumn1911 correctly and secured ven and st Pete's, I would have won easily. Hats off to turkey and France for a stellar defense near the end
