12 Apr 17 UTC Spring, 1904: Let's be sure to pause after the retreat phase. Other than that, I'm fine pausing.
12 Apr 17 UTC Spring, 1904: True, Italy, there was a lot of movement this turn. I spent an embarrassing amount of time trying to decide what Sweden's order should be, considering that I settled on a "Hold" order.
13 Apr 17 UTC Spring, 1904: My pause vote is up. I encourage everyone to pause as soon as retreats are over so that we get a full fall phase upon unpausing when I get back. Thanks everyone.
14 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1904: Be sure to pause, guys.
15 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1904: sorry, pause vote up.
17 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1904: Thanks everyone. I'm back now.
19 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1904: Did I miss that we are pausing longer, or is Germany not here, or something else?
19 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1904: I believe we are just waiting on Germany.
19 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1904: I'm here, sorry. Had a rough weekend.
21 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1904: Definitely my worst performance in years! Still, learned a lot with this. If this does not discourage you, please let me know when you want to start another game!
23 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1904: GG France. I might be interested in another one when this one finishes.
28 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1905: This fucking game. Apparently no one cares that Russia's going to solo?
28 Apr 17 UTC Autumn, 1905: Apparently not. But to be honest I think he deserves, seems the only one who knows what's doing (and this includes me).
05 May 17 UTC Autumn, 1906: Say for lack of press I'm at a conference
16 May 17 UTC Spring, 1908: I am also (like Italy was earlier in the month) at a conference, so I will have irregular press,
23 Jun 17 UTC Autumn, 1913: Prediction - this game never ends, as Russia and Italy alternate taking turns in an attempt to solo. We might have achieved an everlasting three-way conflict with no hope of ending.
26 Jun 17 UTC Spring, 1914: Four-way conflict, my friend.
27 Jun 17 UTC Spring, 1914: Did we lose Russia?
27 Jun 17 UTC Spring, 1914: Dangerously close. Sorry for the scare, I got pulled in to a meeting at work with 2 hours left in the phase and remembered to log on just in time.
15 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1917: Eliminating England at this point isn't very likely at all. We should just draw now.
21 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1918: I'm going to ready up from now on to get to the three way. It's clear to me we're all on the same page. Well played Russia and Austria! I'm curious to see who you all are. Sorry to drag out this game an extra 5 years with my attempt, wouldn't have done that if I didn't think I had a serious shot.
22 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1918: Let's see what the random number generator selects for perhaps my final move.
24 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1919: gg everyone, assuming that Italy draws once England disbands. Though the game did drag on a bit, at least from my perspective as the consistent third place power, this was a fun game, and everyone in this game was pretty great to play with. This is the only active game I have right now, so if any of the people involved here want to start another one, I would be up for it.
25 Jul 17 UTC Thanks for the game guys. My longest classic, I think.
26 Jul 17 UTC Good game everyone!

As an aside, my guesses about who was who were very bad.
26 Jul 17 UTC Very good game! I was amazed by how different this game was, when compared to the one five of us had just before. I mean, the other one was very balanced, while this one had three powers eliminated by 1907. Anyway, I'd play another, with the same players and specifics. Anyone interested?
26 Jul 17 UTC I would love to do another one. Sign me up.
26 Jul 17 UTC I would also be in.
26 Jul 17 UTC I can play another one too.
26 Jul 17 UTC Yeah, I can play another game.
27 Jul 17 UTC I would be fine with that.
27 Jul 17 UTC So france sets it up?
27 Jul 17 UTC Sure! Just give me a few hours. Also, let's see if Germany is in.
28 Jul 17 UTC Can we agree to start after the weekend or at least on Sunday? I will be completelly offline on Saturday.
28 Jul 17 UTC Monday or Tuesday would work best, since I'll be busy for a lot of the weekend.
28 Jul 17 UTC Same here, so that's great.
30 Jul 17 UTC Germany just confirmed its interest, so it will be the seven of us again. I'll set the game tomorrow, or later tonight, and everyone can join when possible, unless someone else wants to do this!

If no one else takes this task from me, I'll set the same specifics we used here.
31 Jul 17 UTC Would anyone else mind a smaller pot?
31 Jul 17 UTC I would be fine with a smaller pot. Honestly, even a 5 point bet would be fine with me. DId you have any specific number in mind?
31 Jul 17 UTC Haha you have 3k points!! ;-)
31 Jul 17 UTC I don't have a specific number in mind, I just feel like the big-pot games aren't as fun as the smaller ones.
31 Jul 17 UTC Even if it was a 10 point game I still would have eliminated you, choices and consequences and stuff. ;-p

I don't care about the point number btw. Did think it was funny to have the player with the most points asking for a lower pot. I'm joining whatever you guys settle on. This was a nice group of people to play with. I usually make my games 101+ points to weed out any new accounts.
31 Jul 17 UTC I personally never pay attention to bet or pot size after I join, so I'm happy with whatever.
31 Jul 17 UTC ckroberts, are you referring to games like this: http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=182131#gamePanel ? (this one was indeed amazing)

If you wouldn't object, I'd like to keep bet size as it was. Not that I care about points (which I don't), but I always find it is good for webDip to have good quality FP games on the first 'games' page. I recall looking at featured games, as a young player, and certainly would have found it disheartening to find only GBs (or pacifist diplomacy) among the games shown as more important (new player tend to care for this; at least, I did). 111 points bets would already get us there, I guess.

Anyway, it can be a 5 point bet as well! Just let us know your number!
31 Jul 17 UTC We can do 143 again if it's a big deal!
31 Jul 17 UTC It totally isn't a big deal! Like, everyone is ok with whatever. I just pointed why I'd favour a not smaller pot, but I'd still much rather pick the bet you choose! We just need to know what your choice would be in objective numerical terms. :)
31 Jul 17 UTC I am open to anything, and if forced to suggest, I would say something like 51 or 101 or 111.
01 Aug 17 UTC I always like 143, because the number 1001 (the total pot) is just so pleasing, but I'm fine with anything over 20 points and under 500 :)
01 Aug 17 UTC Sent the game and password to everyone! Let me know if anyone didn't receive it. Also, take your time to join, that's why I chose the long join phase.
01 Aug 17 UTC 1001 points is aesthetically pleasing.
