14 Nov 16 UTC | Well played Greece. Very poorly played, Carthage. Did you realize that by continuing to attack me after I had pulled away & offered peace all you were doing was giving Greece an easy victory??? |
14 Nov 16 UTC | I am honestly shocked at how much help I got from Carthage. Good game everyone, well done and I feel like I didn't do a good enough job to deserve a solo. At least we all survive. |
14 Nov 16 UTC | I've never played this map well. Not once. I knew I made horrible mistakes early on that let Rome trounce me, and later on I guess the same kept going. |
14 Nov 16 UTC | Rome: I had no idea that there was a signal for peace. I have only begun playing long-turn gunboat games and am unfamiliar with etiquette. My apologies. |
15 Nov 16 UTC | Congrats to Greece. Didn't help I missed the first turn. |
15 Nov 16 UTC | Are all systems now basically winner-takes-all? I played for a few years and took the last two or so off. It is different now. |
15 Nov 16 UTC | I understand Carthage. A few turns ago I support-held one of your units, which is the general sign of peace in a gunboat. All games are indeed winner-take-all now, they changed that a few months ago. The points can be divvied up in 2 different ways in a draw situation, depending on the pre-game settings, but there's no "survivors win points" scoring anymore. |
15 Nov 16 UTC | So many changes. As for etiquette: I understand. And thank you for the lesson. I'm sorry it came at such a cost. |
15 Nov 16 UTC | Yeah, I had a huge break in playing as well, so you supporting me made sense at first, but when I found out now all games are WTA it got pretty bizarre |
15 Nov 16 UTC | I'm one of those always-noobs. Apologies all around. |
