17 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 1908: Moderator: (ghug): This game has been paused as evidence in an ongoing cheating investigation. Upon completion of the investigation, the game will most likely be cancelled. Please do not cast any Draw, Unpause, or Cancel votes while the investigation is ongoing, as doing so will result in a point docking.

Thank you for your patience as we resolve this matter,

27 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 1908: Moderator: (ghug): Thank you all for your cooperation. The game has been cleared of cheating suspicion.

If you'd like to continue, you may unpause at your own convenience. If anyone refuses to do so, email me at webdipmod@gmail.com and I can force an unpause.
07 May 16 UTC Spring, 1911: GameMaster: KvotheKingsBane was banned: Meta/No Reply. The time until the next phase has been extended by one phase length to give an opportunity to replace the player.
Remember to finalize your orders if you don't want to wait, so the game isn't held up unnecessarily!
23 May 16 UTC I'm a little surprised/disappointed this game wasn't cancelled. It was investigated twice for cheating and found to have had a meta account once.
23 May 16 UTC But regardless, well played Turkey. Congrats on the win
23 May 16 UTC I agree completely. Poor form to continue on. I had cancel up for 10 years.
23 May 16 UTC This game should have been cancelled. i even didn't vote unpause until asked to by a mod, who didn't even reply to my question about game not being cancelled.
I couldn't stop you Turkey, Italy just kept attacking me, even though you were attacking him and he should have let me fight you.
Nicely done turkey to get the win.
24 May 16 UTC I suspected Austria and Italy of colluding early on and put in a request for an investigation. Though suspicion was cleared, their moves continued to be coordinated to the detriment of France and myself. I put in a second request, and the mods agreed with me.

Once the new Italy came on board, I looked into games played by KvotheKingsBane, and noticed another name reappearing in many of the same games: Chancellor Maximillian the virt. Inevitably, one or the other of them would win, due to a collusion that would start the very first year. I was sure this was our Austria. (Check out Max's past games: You'll see in almost every single one, someone has been ejected from this site for cheating. This is not a coincidence.)

I didn’t cancel the game because I wanted to beat the cheat. And once I had, I had a chance at winning the game. Call it my detective's fee. By the time I'd taken Austria out, everyone on the board was a legitimate player and had a fair shot at winning. Sorry if it seemed like bad sportsmanship, but I feel vindicated. Thanks for indulging me.

GG all. (Except Chancellor Max!)
24 May 16 UTC It is bad sportsmanship. When a cheat/nmr/cd unbalances the board the appropriate thing to do is cancel the game. No everyone did not have a fair shot at winning, where was France's fair shot? While you knocked out Austria we only recovered our home centers. You benefited from the cheater.
24 May 16 UTC Exactly. Due to Austria's lack of fear from the west, he was able to dive into my home centers early on without fear of a stab from behind. This crippled my defense and I was eliminated before the cheaters were removed. How is that fair to me?

I get what you're saying about wanting to beat the cheat, but it does unfairly balance the game.
25 May 16 UTC Guys I don't get the anger, I played with Kvothekingsbane because he is a good player and that leads to good games, in most of our games we fought each other, we helped each other in this game but also clashed, I was trying to beat turkey so my west was fine against italy. If you think we played together and commincated feel free to check my other games. I thought italy was going to attack me, hence my move to the ionian sea.
25 May 16 UTC How did you know Kvothekingsbane was Italy? It was an anonymous, no message game.
25 May 16 UTC We don't care about you, we care about not cancelling the game after interruption from a cheating violation. Lol
25 May 16 UTC I thought Kvo was Germany until they were kicked, I was talking about Italy because someone I did not need to worry about the west.
