14 Mar 16 UTC Spring, 1901: Hi everyone!
Good luck!
18 Mar 16 UTC Spring, 1903: Ughh. This is a ridiculous amount of NMRs.
18 Mar 16 UTC Spring, 1903: I know...
20 Mar 16 UTC Spring, 1904: Maybe this game shouldn't have had 12 hour phases. I took over 2 turns ago and already two countries have missed a phase since then, or gone into CD. I vote cancel.
22 Mar 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: This game clearly should be cancelled. There are way too many missed turns and CD's. I took over just a few turns ago and already there have been countries missing turns and England has gone into CD. Vote cancel.
22 Mar 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: Why cancel? If these countries want to throw away points, that's fine. The countries who have thrived in this game haven't even been immediately affected by the CDs. I despise cancelling games due to CDs. I get it. From a purist point of view, yes. It drastically alters the game play and changes strategies, but isn't that also kind of the point of diplomacy? To be able to adapt and readjust to suit the ever changing dynamics of the board? The only time I am okay with cancelling is after S'01 when there is a critical missed turn and the game has only just begun. You can be upset that I don't want to cancel because I'm in the lead, but the CDs have had little to do with it. Honestly, Russia should have steamrolled this board. The first set of missed moves forced me to change gears and ally (even though it was very short lived (sorry Turkey)) with Turkey to keep Russia from having such an easy time of it.
22 Mar 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: If every other person wants to cancel, I'm not going to be a jerk about it and hold out. However, I am adamantly opposed to it. The only one really burned by this is Turkey and he was just unfortunate. In diplomacy, that happens sometimes. At the same time though, he could have played his position much differently and not be in such bad shape.
22 Mar 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: I agree with this. I could've played differently. I'm changing my vote. I still want to see what'll happen.
28 Mar 16 UTC Autumn, 1908: Draw?
28 Mar 16 UTC Spring, 1909: It's looking that way.
28 Mar 16 UTC Spring, 1909: Certainly not before Russia is eliminated.
28 Mar 16 UTC Spring, 1909: I agree to that. Although with them having left I think the calculation of a draw now is for just those 4 remaining
28 Mar 16 UTC Spring, 1909: I'm not convinced of the calculations, but you may be correct. I also am unlikely to draw until I am sure you've set up a complete stalemate. Clearly this game has been diluted by CDs and NMRs, but as the sole original player, I feel I have more of a claim to the game than anyone and will exercise my right to bash my head against a wall until sure it's futile.
28 Mar 16 UTC Spring, 1909: I understand that, but even with all the CD's there's no logic that you would have more of a claim than any of us to the points, since those CD's affected the diplomacy as much as us joining did, and perhaps made you adjust your strategy with new players ;)

I look forward to the bashing of head against wall, and hopefully being able to thwart it from breaking through :)

"It drastically alters the game play and changes strategies, but isn't that also kind of the point of diplomacy? To be able to adapt and readjust to suit the ever changing dynamics of the board?"
29 Mar 16 UTC Spring, 1909: Bash on brother. We came to play war.
29 Mar 16 UTC just popping in as replacement to disband the russian retreat. Thanks and good bye.
29 Mar 16 UTC Well played you three. Clearly wasn't going to get anywhere. Missed a couple critical moves in the med against you France. And shouldn't have been as concerned about Sev before I moved further north.
29 Mar 16 UTC Craziness incarnate. Thanks for playing ya'll
29 Mar 16 UTC Good game all as well.
