03 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 1901: Sultan el-Beev wakes up to a new war. Diplomats are working overtime to get his messages out.
06 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 1902: How nice that Italy has quit already. OK, let us descend on the carcass.
07 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: I put 85% reliability requirements on new games and we still get dropouts. Is 100% too much?
08 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: Breaking News: Germany becomes Major Player n the West!
08 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: Welcome new Italy. The good news is that you have 2 builds coming. The bad news is that everybody disliked your predecessor.
10 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 1903: Actually, you put a reliability of 80%... I wouldn't have qualified at 85%. But your right. the problem is that new people that just join start with a RR of 100%... maybe they should start at 0%, or you should be able to include a minimum # of games.
11 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1903: Good God, the new Italy didn't NMR already, or did he really order everything to hold?
11 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1903: Sorry guys, I could have sworn I had recorded moves here.
12 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1903: May have forgotten to save the plots.
23 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 1907: Italy, I am not sure there is a solution for letting the game play the moves for you. In adjustment phase , you get the 'furthest from your home centers' default (that is why Tunis is gone). In other phases you just get screwed. Small consolation to me is that you won't be playing in any games I initiate with your stellar reliability rating.
24 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 1907: meow
24 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 1907: Thank you, Russia. This will be over soon ... I hope.
24 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 1907: Turkey, sorry about the bump in Piedmont. I alerted you too late.
24 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 1907: greetings. new italy here. joined the party late
24 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Italy, you joined at a bad time. The four of the remaining players have agreed to a draw after Italy and England are defeated.
24 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Turkey, I am holding in Piedmont.
24 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Oops ... I am holding in Marseilles.
24 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: oh well. stuff happens. it seems i am the 3rd italy. is that correct?
24 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Italy, if you wish to end this quickly, please consider supporting Turkey's move into Rome from Ven with your Tyrr fleet.
24 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: yeah. it seems to good to be true. for 8 points a nation with 3 (soon to be two minus tunis) and units actually defending the centers. well... each of you 4 enjoy my 2 points each.
24 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Thank you. I do not know of a way to communicate effectively outside of the game. I am sorry that you came in when you did.
24 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: that is the problem with the joinable games. the rest of the nations swarm the nations that are not there (like they should). so then why even have that function? 9/10 or so nations that i can join as are screwed and the 1/10 that are not screwed then have a real disadvantage.
just a comment. not changing the present or anything.
24 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Totally understand. I avoid the joinables for this very reason.
24 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: yeah. first one joined. i guess i learned my lesson.
24 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: also i would do what you are all doing if i was in your shoes. no harm no foul. just business.
24 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: It's not always that bad. Sometimes you find a decent position that's been abandoned for some reason. But most of them are terrible.
24 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Agreed. I typically join an abandoned game out of a sort of 'sense of duty' to the overall cause of the game itself. Not trying to be a martyr or anything but I think that, with all the success of this game in general, I owe it back to the game to help others finish games that are stuck. And England is right of course, sometimes you get a good one.
24 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: true and true. i just wish there was a warning or something to divide the good lots from the dead or in a turn or two dead lots
24 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Thank you all for the conversation. I have witnessed times when tempers became heated and things were said that were later regretted. That calm, intelligent, thought can be maintained here is refreshing.
24 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: me getting pissed off only adds insult to the injury (regardless of if i caused it or not).
and yes. thank you all for not yelling and screaming. i meant for this to be an observation and not whining. i hope you all saw it that way or can now see it that way.
(this will end soon... i have faith in that).
24 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Definitely. Italy, I hope to play a game with you in the future. Common sense is sometimes an uncommon quality, but you certainly have it.
24 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: On this happy note, you are all invited to "Are we having fun yet"? which has 3 more vacancies and starts in about 2 days. Standard dip, 24 hour turns, etc.
24 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Done!
24 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Rome to Tuscan
Naples support move from Venice to Rome
Boat hold
24 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: When I have the cash I will like to join the game. Thx
24 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Again, thank you.
24 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Yeah. Suicide squad Italy v 3.0 at your (all) service
24 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Good game? I would not know but the two turns or so we're fun. Thx all
24 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Thank you Italy for helping the game to finish.
25 Sep 15 UTC So now we all vote draw?
25 Sep 15 UTC Right. I have already voted draw.
25 Sep 15 UTC Thanks, Italy.
25 Sep 15 UTC sure
25 Sep 15 UTC Come on, Russia! Draw!
25 Sep 15 UTC Done!
25 Sep 15 UTC Thank you all for a well played game. Thank you new Italy for helping is move along. Thank you Russia for maintaining our eastern alliance. See you all around.
