11 Nov 15 UTC [Quebec]:Thanks all! I enjoyed that highly strategical game. Sorry to have eaten a chunk out of you, my allies, but I watched that you 4 could survive. Good fight SA.
11 Nov 15 UTC [Brazil]:Congratulations Quebec.
11 Nov 15 UTC [South-Africa]:Well congrats to you Quebec. After the Russian collapse Brazil had plenty of time to make it a draw as I left him alone for a gazillion years and there was no way I was ever gonna solo at that point. But I guess some people just can't read games or something.
11 Nov 15 UTC [USA]:My secret bases I'm the Deep South survived! Foolish Quebec, you didn't realize I kept my nukes there. I'm executing Order 69, and launching everything. The world dies in flames, and all points are nullified. Hahaha!!!!!

12 Nov 15 UTC [Russia]:I did collapse, didn't I? But it wasn't for want of trying. I saw Quebec coming a mile off and hoped against hope I might be able to make sufficient inroads into Near East to give myself a chance when the inevitable assault came. It didn't, and I found myself playing out a very long drawn-out losing battle.
12 Nov 15 UTC [Quebec]:Russia you were a mighty, witty adversary. My only chance of soloing was to attack you from the rear. And you didn't colapsed, you gave precious years to SA to turn his alliances but failed to see that. Until the end your resistance may have ticked the balance. Congrat and well played!
12 Nov 15 UTC [Russia]:Ah, that's very kind words from you Quebec. I really appreciate them. I enjoyed our tussle and tried my best to put up a decent fight. But you had a great position after playing very well in the initial North American three-way struggle. You made the most of that great position and were ruthless. I also liked the way you stuck with Brazil for a long time. Well played, and good game!
12 Nov 15 UTC [South-Africa]:"you gave precious years to SA to turn his alliances but failed to see that." Ahem, I did see that, but my neighbors didn't. 7 years of DMZing from my side (thats 14 turns) and Brazil still didn't see you as threat. He could and should have stopped your solo. I have tried to stop the Quebec solo from 2008 onwards, as I saw all the poor play in Eurasia, by leaving Brazil alone and sailing into the Pacific. After that I tried to make landfall in Asia to stop Quebec. We can all pat each other on the back, and call this a good game, but it really wasn't. The beginning was very decent from everyone, but the last 10 years were very mediocre. Multiple (Pacific) Russian and Indian NMRs, a Brazil that was stuck in attacking me for 14(!) turns instead of recognising a solo threat. This game has been a real giveaway and should have ended in a 3-4-5 way draw. Quebec, you played well man, as did Near east and Frozen, but the rest was pretty poor and not interested in the moves they were putting in. Serves me right for trying a couple of gunboats..
12 Nov 15 UTC [Quebec]:SA,sorry to contradict you, man. I see my solo victory mainly due to you. First in Spring 2007 threatening Brazil. He was attacking me (I wasn't); your move turned him against yourself and freed me of my biggest opponent. (Thanks), from then on, I never threaten Brazil while you kept sailing into his water. Second in attacking NE in Africa while he stopped supporting me (thanks again) ; third big mistake was attacking India which was the only barrier in my domination of the Eurasian continent (thanks you very much); 4th, attacking your last ally : FA (Thank you so much). Which made it easy for me to block your naval attack in the Pacific and snatch the last 2 sc out of FA taken between you and me. This strategy of yours made it easy for me to help the one you were attacking, they had no reason to turn against me to get their open backs taken by you. Until the end I help them survive which you didn't.
12 Nov 15 UTC [South-Africa]:First point: I never attacked Brazil, until he started attacking me. I did take possession of the SWA in spring 2007, but it's next to my home sc, not a home sc of Brazil, but I support held both my fleets in the autumn and never made a move on him. Only when he kept going at it did I attack Chile out of sheer frustration. Not once did I attack WAO for example. While he did that around 10 times in the EAO. I sailed into his eastern waters, clearly to have a go at you. I did attack Frozen in Mawson, but after that left him alone completely and even tried supporting him in his attack on you. I only attacked FA when he started building tanks in Antarctica, something i did not do on purpose to show him I wouldn't attack him. I did attack Near east, but hey, you need to expand somewhere and he wasn't doing anything to stop you, he was actually just attacking Russia, which I wanted to prosper so he could stop you. I started attacking India, also to expand, and at the time, you were very far away from a solo. I was banking on Brazil not being an idiot and Russia not NMRing. My mistake was thinking Brazil would see a solo (10 turns) for what it is. Even when you were at 40 scs and I was at 25 he was still attacking me.. I think you had some great moves in there, but you have had neighbors being an idiot, NMRing and CDing all around you man. That's what got you the solo, not my play.
12 Nov 15 UTC [China]:The true meaning of a solo is to recognize opportunities and have those opportunities positively impact your play. If you are unable to recognize these opportunities, then it is not Quebec's problem. Though I was only around for a little bit of it, I took a look at the game and I'll say this: Great Game Quebec!
12 Nov 15 UTC [Frozen-Antarctica]:As I got mentioned, let me say few words... First of all, congrats to Quebec.

@SA I kept attacking you while you were the strongest player on the map - until 2013. You may check the spring 2014 (when Quebec overtook you) that I gave you the opportunity to make non aggression pact with passive move. You rejected, or failed to see, whatever. Autumn 2014 was my unintentional mistake when I failed to give orders, so I apologise, but it wouldn't make much difference even if I did. You are good tactician, but not so good strategist because, in the end, you achieved to make enemies out of all the rest players on the map, but you wasn't the leader.

Good luck, everyone.
12 Nov 15 UTC [Brazil]:First of all SA moved aggressively towards me first. By moving into East Pacific and Southeast Pacific he threatened Peru and Chile. I did what I had around 2007-2008 to protect those SC's. This of course accumulates with SA actually taking one of my SC's before I had to retake it. Before SA's aggressive actions I was moving on Quebec, but after the SA landfall I had to concentrate on SA and his threat to my borders. I wouldn't change anything and Quebec could have crushed me if he had attacked me while I was dealing with SA, but he didn't. In my mind he deserves the solo.
12 Nov 15 UTC [Brazil]:enjoy the +1000k points and GGWP Quebec.
13 Nov 15 UTC [South-Africa]:Of course Quebec didn't attack you Brazil. Why would he as you were attacking me incessantly and he had plenty of other countries to expand in. I understand the first half of the game Brazil, that's not what my beef with you is about, its the last ten to fourteen turns from you that are absolutely mindblowing to me. Why would you keep attacking me if I was 25 and Quebec was over 35? I really didn't get it. At some point I really started thinking it was metagaming or something, but apparently you just really didn't pick up that for a good 14 turns I wasn't attacking you and Quebec was winning easily and hence in a WTA you need to do something about it.

Frozen, I didn't pick up your attempt indeed. Maybe if you hadn't nmred and done it again in autumn I would have, but at that point I was also pot committed to get you off Antarctica and, most importantly, I thought Brazil would shortly see the threat of Quebec soloing ... guess not.
13 Nov 15 UTC [Brazil]:Sorry you have a problem SA, but like I said I stand by my moves. I drove you out of South America and was going to press that attack since you began it.
13 Nov 15 UTC [Argentina]:My only comment about end game is that it is mathematically impossible to defend South America with only 10 SCs/units. Expansion/alliance is necessary or else you are doomed.
