10 Jun 15 UTC Autumn, 1901: On the subject, cancelled my draw.
10 Jun 15 UTC Autumn, 1901: Russia vote
10 Jun 15 UTC Autumn, 1901: Why? Austria is here.
13 Jun 15 UTC Autumn, 1901: This is a very slow game. No false advertising!
13 Jun 15 UTC Autumn, 1901: IKR, Austria isn't here...so it's lagging the entire game down.
13 Jun 15 UTC Autumn, 1901: Lets just draw
13 Jun 15 UTC Autumn, 1901: Only after Austria CDs.
13 Jun 15 UTC Autumn, 1901: My votes in
16 Jun 15 UTC Autumn, 1901: Russia, if you ready up, it'll speed the game up. If Austria keeps not checking in, he'll CD sooner.
18 Jun 15 UTC Spring, 1902: GameMaster: Mario69Daisy was banned: repeat multi. The time until the next phase has been extended by one phase length to give an opportunity to replace the player.
Remember to finalize your orders if you don't want to wait, so the game isn't held up unnecessarily!
18 Jun 15 UTC Spring, 1902: Greetings from the new French Government.

Greetings to all original players, and a special greeting to the joiners. May you stay on this website with a high reliability rating, and my your Ghost Rating climb (but not higher than mine).
30 Jun 15 UTC Spring, 1903: Turkey CD =(
30 Jun 15 UTC Spring, 1903: :(

Russia overpowered.

Draw after Turkey perishes in agony?
03 Jul 15 UTC Autumn, 1903: Think so, unless R/I just want a free win based on CD
03 Jul 15 UTC Autumn, 1903: Germany's being a good boy and preventing that though.
05 Jul 15 UTC Autumn, 1903: Happy Independence Day!
05 Jul 15 UTC Autumn, 1903: Thank you. You too.

24 Jul 15 UTC Spring, 1905: k. Italy built two fleets so he is going to move on France.
You should be able to take Tun and Mun.
We need to defend Mar, and I want to get into Lyo. I will move MAO to Spasc, and NAf to Wes. In fall I will move Spa to Lyo with support from Wes. I need you to convoy Lon to Nwy
24 Jul 15 UTC Spring, 1905: The mixture of both 2nd and 3rd person in reference to France is wigging me out
24 Jul 15 UTC Spring, 1905: Je vais faire mieux avec la grammaire
27 Jul 15 UTC Spring, 1905: England :(

Nicely played! :)

16 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: HEY ENGLAND.

France, Russia, and I have decided that this game is going to draw four ways. Vote draw and end this game. Otherwise, you're facing a Draw Alliance consisting of everyone that isn't you.
16 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Four ways draws are boring. This game is just getting interesting!
16 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Actually, all draws are boring if there is no stalemate line.
16 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Why don't we all plan to WIN?
16 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: That would make an interesting game of Diplomacy
16 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Sounds like someone wants to get conquered.

Ready, Draw Alliance?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfK-WX2pa8c
16 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Now that was good.
16 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: I never understand the draw mentality that is so prevalent in these games. Why play if you don't want to try to win? Russia and Italy have a good chance for a solo. But your battle cry is, "Let's draw!" That is a loser mentality. This game is nowhere close to a draw baser on the position.
16 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: It's not a "loser mentality." It's a "we don't want to lose" mentality.

This is a WTA game. The worst outcomes are death or someone else soloing.

A draw is a partial victory.
16 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: It's not like PPSC, where mere survival is a partial victory.

Everyone in this draw earned their place in it.
16 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Nobody is going to solo this game, that's already been established.

And I don't think anyone is willing to tolerate the annihilation of another player to tighten this draw to three.

So we're drawing with four.
16 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Unless you're volunteering yourself for annihilation? In which case this game DID just get interesting.

So blame morals and degeneracy all you want, but if you're not happy with your place in this four-way draw, it's because YOU failed to solo.
16 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: ...actually, the reason this is a four-way draw instead of a three-way draw is because you decided to enslave France rather than conquer her. This game could have ended E/I/R.

But France started thinking for France once France's ass was on the line, and did a damn good job of it, I should say.

I broke up the E/F and I want a draw for my troubles.

16 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: I didn't enslave France - I rescued F from certain elimination by the I/R alliance. And you 'rescued' F by occupying Par. With friends like you...
16 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: ...France can survive! Why'd you move to Brest last turn, anyway? You're all set to cannibalize France. I'm protecting him from you.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=do83gMqWhQk
16 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Funny, as i recall it, france was a part of the F/I/R, until he suddenly had to start "gaining your trust" by moving on me.

You should have just conquered him.
16 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: You would have conquered France - I wanted an ally against the I/R alliance. And you are protecting France by occupying Par. You belong in American politics. The democrats would be proud of such a gifted liar.

I knew you were going to move to Bre, and wanted to make it easier for driving his 'friend' from Par. He can now build in Bre and Mar, and have you surrounded. So in your new found friendship, I am sure we will see you leave Par.
16 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: yeah, i've already told france he can have paris back
and i've encouraged him to build fleets to counter yours

i suppose it's a confidence game at this point

if france turns on me, i have to think of another plan

if he turns on you, it's draw time
16 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: WTF why does France have NWY and SWE while having less centers than England?
17 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Stabs will do that every time. We had a good advance going against R. I had F take Swe to prevent R from getting it. Then Italy took Paris, and F decided that was a sign of good faith and a good time to ally with Italy. Go figure.
17 Aug 15 UTC Oh! How nice! Gg everybody! :)
17 Aug 15 UTC And I was bored of this game stretching from like June or something, and wanted out so I offered a draw. Surprised to see it accepted so fast.

England, your stab of me was EXCELLENT although Stp is indeed a bit of a dead end, especially since I had equal tempi to yours to bring defenders to prevent your advance. And France had one fleet, not much to help you with that.

But most gifted stabber should go to you, I was totally surprised by that multinational convoy.

France kept me puzzled most of the game as to his motives, good on him!

Italy was a loyal ally and I admire his trickery in the heart of France, winning France's heart when I presumed the EF alliance was rock-solid.

Good game all, we all deserve the win/draw thingy.
18 Aug 15 UTC heh... I'm not sure if I "won France's heart" so much as "made him seriously doubt the possibility of his own survival if he didn't accept my very generous offer." Given the way he was interacting with England, I figured his MO was to listen to the most serious threat to his safety. This is not to disparage him in any way; he was in a tough situation from the jump, and he did what he had to do, including attacking me.

England performed extremely well, and like I told France in my offer to end the game, I didn't think he could be defeated by the point we were at. He was going to be in the winner's circle no matter what. Maybe a combined F/I/R (the alliance I started the game with an eye towards) could have defeated him, but it would have taken an extremely long time. The draw was worth it.

Russia: we demonstrated the diplomatic affinity between Italy and Russia this game. Although, truth by told, if France hadn't capitulated to England and come after me, I probably would have stabbed you. :P Say "thank you, France." And thanks for playing in this game after the one we both tried to join before it didn't go off.
