15 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1906: BTW what does happen if England remains in Civil Disorder. Does the game automatically go on hold until someone take her position over?
16 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1906: Not sure
16 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 1907: So are we on hold now?
16 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 1907: I don't think so. England's units are just going to stay where they are until they are taken out.
16 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 1907: Oh my GOD the points that I'm gonna get I can taste them already
18 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Germany and France have fought well. Game went downhill when England bailed on us. I'm OK with leaving those 2 countries alive and calling the game a draw when England is eliminated. Do we honor our colleagues who have stuck with the game and let the survive to fight again?
19 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: (2ndWhiteLine): This game has been paused while the moderators conduct an investigation into possible metagaming. Updates to game progress will be posted to global chat. Please do not vote to unpause or cancel or you will be docked points. Email webdipmod@gmail.com with any questions.

19 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: ?? What's going on?
19 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: WHAT?
19 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: They're saying i was metagaming which isnt fucking true
19 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Is Meta gaming is playing multiple id's?
19 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: woah. What is going on with the admin thing? Weird. I don't know what meta gaming is. I definitely didn't see any issue with this game or the way anyone was playing. It was definitely a bummer that England bailed.

I do apologize for being off the grid the last day or so. Work got hectic with my boss in town. Had to work and entertain. I lost the bubble on getting moves in. I am not sure it mattered too much since I was hurting anyway, but it might have helped to move it along faster for you guys. I am sorry to have left you hanging.
19 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Nah man its ok
19 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Metagaming is playing with a person you actually know and communicating with him on something other than the site
They also think that im playing on multiple accounts
19 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Did you get an answer Austria?
19 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: No one has contacted me. Does this kind of thing occur frequently (admin pauses)?
19 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Did you check the email that you made your Dip account with?
19 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: FUCK mycroft they think you and I are one account you HAVE to talk to them or we'll get banned
19 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: IF YOU DONT HAVE MAIL EMAIL THE BASTARDS AND ASK FOR ONE NOW OR WE'RE FUCKED
20 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Easy man. I'll check.
20 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: OK. I got a message from admin. I responded on email.
20 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Thanks :)
20 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Weird. 3 countries bonded together after many messages negotiating and did not in the end backstab eachother so someone cries foul? Is betrayal so rampant that the lack of it equates to cheating? To be honest I was just playing these first few games to get a feel for the site and establish a reliability rating. Was hoping to find a dependable group to repeat games and wanted to be known as a trustworthy play in negotiations. What was in it for Austria? Why target Turkey and support Russia? Why try to convince Italy to go after France? Purely survival. Follows a pretty typical pattern from the most basic online strategy guides for Austria.
20 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: I did turn on Germany as soon as she wasn't needed for defense against the French-English alliance but never promised her I wouldn't and had been supporting her to keep her in the game for a few turns. I think a look at the message history and moves that were played would show there was no unusual collusion between the three countries (Austria/Italy/Russia)
20 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: That is messed up. I don't see why it would be strange that countries would band together when one country is racing out to a lead. What blows is the game was just about to get interesting because the common enemy was getting pushed back, and I figured the alliance would start to fall apart as folks looked for their next strategy to win.
But England apparently threw their toys out of the pram and cried foul. Not surprised since their play style was based around recruiting an alliance specifically to betray it immediately. You do that and you might just get a bunch of countries happy to band together to wipe you out.
I was hurting from beginning when he recruited me but was only ever working with France. I don't have an issue with this strategy and it was working for him. But I don't see how he can get upset when others work to fight back and band with players that hold their agreements.
Very weak. Don't dish it out if you can't take the consequences.
20 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: "Out of the pram"...that's funny
20 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: How did you guys know it was England?
20 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Just a guess on my part. Was playing well then dropped out unexpectedly about the time the admn email was sent.
20 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: I could be wrong. Just a guess based on drop and timing of admin.
Either way, lame to drop out when tide goes against you.
21 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: (2ndWhiteLine): I'll be wrapping up the investigation within the next 24 hours, so keep an eye on global press for any updates. I haven't decided an outcome for this game yet. Also, please make a note that the mod team sends all correspondence to the email you have in your profile. If this is not an email you check all the time, I recommend changing it or checking frequently to avoid delays like this in the future.

23 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Why is this still paused?
23 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Not sure. No further communication from Admin after the Fri message when he said it was going to be unpaused soon.
24 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: What's going to happen now?
24 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Nothing until they finish the investigation
24 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: I thought they said it finished on Saturday?
24 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: One of us should send a PM to 2ndWhiteLine for clarification on the pause status. I'd really like to get this resolved.
24 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: I sent an email this morning.
25 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: (2ndWhiteLine): Sorry about the delay on this - real life took over this week. I've decided to let this game continue. To that end, I've unpaused, reset the phase timer, and turned on wait for orders mode just to ensure you have plenty of time to talk this turn. If you'd like the setting turned off, just let the mods know.
25 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Does getting any extra centers make a difference? If not, let's draw.
25 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: I agree. Lost interest in this one. I'm good with a draw.
25 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: I was just about to unleash an amazing strategy for world domination, but I guess I'll take a draw. Good game guys. Bummer that it went under when it was just getting interesting. I hope to see you around and play again.
25 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Interesting that England has a new controller that voted for a Draw and was on recently. Maybe an admin.
25 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Prob someone who jumped in to grab a couple quick coins?
25 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Cool. Thanks Germany it was nice playing with you too :)
26 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1907: Where's Italy?
