29 Jan 10 UTC Spring, 1908: My 2nd child was born this week and I'm starting a new job an hour away in Milan so my time is suddenly cut in half. My heart's not in it now so please forgive me while I delay to join the next game. I'm still here but I can't do 3 league games at once. I guess I could but I won't be myself. If you insist I join now then I will but I'm asking for an extra week.
30 Jan 10 UTC Spring, 1908: I guess we should pause now.
30 Jan 10 UTC Autumn, 1908: Congrats C-K!
30 Jan 10 UTC Autumn, 1908: Congrats mate. A child is a real blessing.
30 Jan 10 UTC Autumn, 1908: I am also asking for a pause now, until Feb 15th, as my sitter Jesus is going on vacation and I can´t acces the game everyday until this date. Hope everybody agree on this pause and sorry for delaying the game.
30 Jan 10 UTC Autumn, 1908: Thanks everyone. I hope to be myself again soon. Or maybe I'll turn over a new leaf.
30 Jan 10 UTC Autumn, 1908: As a parent with 2 kids, I can honestly say "you'll never be the same again." They change you in so many ways, mostly good.
30 Jan 10 UTC Autumn, 1908: This is my second. The first went so well and she's totally in love with her sister. I'm about to burst from all the icky cuteness and yet loving every minute of it.
31 Jan 10 UTC Autumn, 1908: Could everybody pause after this turn?
31 Jan 10 UTC Autumn, 1908: Yes.
01 Feb 10 UTC Spring, 1909: If these games go into APril/May, I will need a pause for 1 week each of those months. Lets hope we are done by then.
01 Feb 10 UTC Spring, 1909: Honestly, I know we haven't reached full stalemate lines, but I can see them forming. This game will have lasted 3 months by the time we unpause - and it's only 1909!

I'm all for drawing this one - it's going to be a long slow slog from here on out, I think. We also have game 4 to think about as well.
01 Feb 10 UTC Spring, 1909: Speaking of "unpausing", everyone should do that now that we have a pause in place. That way, once Turkey gets back we can get the game rolling again. Please do it now!
13 Feb 10 UTC Spring, 1909: (TheGhostmaker): Who is absent at the moment?
13 Feb 10 UTC Spring, 1909: I think it's just rdrivera2005.
13 Feb 10 UTC Spring, 1909: Pc-please unpause. RDR-you are back on Monday, right?
16 Feb 10 UTC Spring, 1909: Yes, I am back at home and ready to play :-)
16 Feb 10 UTC Spring, 1909: Well I was available all weekend but I have a busy day at work-and same thing tomorrow. So nothing personal if I dont read your messages right away and my responses might be very brief
17 Feb 10 UTC Autumn, 1909: Tell you guys what. I think we have two choices that make sense right now.

1. We all draw right now.

2. We wipe out the middle powers and slug it out. Even if I go CD, it will still be a long and painful process for a game that started before Thanksgiving and, at this rate, will end after Easter.

I'll let you each decide what you want to do. My vote has already been cast. If we have to slug it out, I will likely die - but it will still be a long and slow death. And I don't mind. I can't log on as much as I used to.
17 Feb 10 UTC Autumn, 1909: I agree to Draw. Most of you have written privately to me that this game is boring and dragged on too long. If E agrees to Draw, I'll add a 3rd option to the list--that the other 4 of us gang up on T until he agrees to a draw.
17 Feb 10 UTC Autumn, 1909: To be fair, I don't think this game is quite as boring to Turkey as it is to the rest of us! And I will point out that not a single person who has voted for a draw in this game has voted for a draw in game 3. That game also started last year and is even LESS far along than this game.

I'm certainly willing to consider a draw, but I do think that is being unfair to Turkey. Perhaps the rest of you can say why it is NOT being unfair to Turkey -- I don't think it's right that Turkey should have to defend himself for not voting for a draw. The burden of proof is on those who vote for it.
17 Feb 10 UTC Autumn, 1909: Turkey does not have to defend himself. If I were him, I might not want to vote for a draw in this game. I only meant to say that the rest of us could perhaps pressure him into drawing. I've been in Turkey's position and succummed to that pressure, maybe he won't.
18 Feb 10 UTC Autumn, 1909: I see this game going quickly for a 3-way between me, Italy and England. And Germany and France can´t do much about it other than talking in the global.
And this same people don´t feel boring when they take 4 or 5 years to gangbang on me on game 1 to make it a 3-way (that eventually end in a 2-way).
I won´t vote for a draw unless Italy and England tell me that they won´t go for that 3-way.
18 Feb 10 UTC Autumn, 1909: Don't blame me for Game 1.
18 Feb 10 UTC Autumn, 1909: And believe me. If we could draw Game 3 and end it all, I'd be the first to vote there, too.
18 Feb 10 UTC Autumn, 1909: And nobody should feel like they HAVE to draw unless the stalemate lines are clearly in effect (which they aren't). I just think this game is boring (and has been for a while). I don't like doing things that bore me. If you don't mind, by all means, please have at it.
18 Feb 10 UTC Autumn, 1909: My remarks are being misunderstood. I apologize if I've offended anyone and I'm withdrawing my Draw vote.
18 Feb 10 UTC Autumn, 1909: Sorry if I misunderstood something Crazyter, I don´t get offended, and sorry if I react to harsh.
And you are right Pooter, we should not mix up games, my bad, and I´m sorry for that too.
About the game being boring, it´s a a point of view, we just unpause the game (and thanks everybody again for granting me this pause,) and played 2 turns, and in my personal view l think that we should not draw a game just because it´s boring, if the game is advancing.
18 Feb 10 UTC Autumn, 1909: I'm against the Draw. I've spent too many hours of my life playing this damn game and I want to see end. I think this will be over before too much longer. It's been 4 months so what's another?
20 Feb 10 UTC Spring, 1910: Looks like you guys have handed Turkey the game
21 Feb 10 UTC Spring, 1910: Please enlight me how they did that, as it seems I am the most interested on that?
21 Feb 10 UTC Spring, 1910: You will have 11-12 centers now and are set up to blitz thru much of France/Germany and then hit England if you want. You will be able to stab Italy at the end for the victory.
21 Feb 10 UTC Autumn, 1910: I'm going to help Turkey win. Figure Italy and England wanted him to win, so I might as well join that bandwagon.
21 Feb 10 UTC Autumn, 1910: good idea
21 Feb 10 UTC Autumn, 1910: good idea
22 Feb 10 UTC Autumn, 1910: One more year. Thank god it's almost over.
22 Feb 10 UTC Autumn, 1910: I cant wait to die! Don't let me linger in this nursing home- Just take a gun and shoot me!
22 Feb 10 UTC Autumn, 1910: Right? Even better, give me a gun and let me die killing bad guys.
22 Feb 10 UTC Autumn, 1910: To speed things up, click "Ready".
23 Feb 10 UTC Autumn, 1910: Sorry about that retreat C-K, I couldn't resist
23 Feb 10 UTC Autumn, 1910: it's not a problem. I actually prefer it over there than defending France.
25 Feb 10 UTC Autumn, 1911: Yippee, I am liberated form this game. GOod job you guys!
25 Feb 10 UTC Autumn, 1911: Ter ... you should have disbanded! :-)
25 Feb 10 UTC Autumn, 1911: One more to play and we're done:
gameID=21794
25 Feb 10 UTC Autumn, 1911: I disbanded Marseilles
25 Feb 10 UTC Autumn, 1911: I'm going to win the 4th game look out! NOT!!!
