Game won by mlholowach (317 D)
07 Nov 09 UTC Autumn, 1902: England, you mentioned the game no less than twice.
07 Nov 09 UTC Autumn, 1902: damn.. you made me lose the game.
08 Nov 09 UTC Autumn, 1902: Turkey, I'm not sure of your point.
11 Nov 09 UTC Spring, 1904: one build, one disband.
12 Nov 09 UTC Spring, 1904: Fantastic, Italy fails to move = win for the triple. Thank you House11. Thank you so very much.
13 Nov 09 UTC Spring, 1904: Hey, Timmi, lay off. It's a game. Mistakes happen. House11 played under the older format and this new format can be confusing at times. I've made mistakes in other games under this new format. Don't give other players a hard time because they aren't doing what makes you win. Harassment isn't going to help anybody. It only builds animosity. I saw House11 logged on last night, in fact, so the problem is likely that the moves were put in and a link clicked without "save" being pushed. You submitted incorrect orders a few turns ago, if I remember correctly, and boasted so on the global tab. So lay off.
13 Nov 09 UTC Spring, 1904: *format referring to the website layout
13 Nov 09 UTC Autumn, 1904: *claps*
13 Nov 09 UTC Autumn, 1904: I on him because he's made four people lose.
13 Nov 09 UTC Autumn, 1904: I'm*
13 Nov 09 UTC Autumn, 1904: You don't know that. Stop being so pessimistic. It was an accident. He hit the READY button instead of SAVE. It was an honest mistake. Yeah...it sucks, but he didn't do it on purpose. So, regroup, rethink, and just realize that we're all human here. We make mistakes. =)
13 Nov 09 UTC Autumn, 1904: Actually, Italy has only caused the downfall of Italy. You, sir, provoked England and Germany to attack you. Can't blame that one on Italy. Also, England is right in saying that you don't know how the story ends. Things can change very rapidly in this game. You should know that.
I'm also going to reiterate that you claimed to submit incorrect orders a few turns ago which is almost exactly the same thing Italy did this time. Judge not lest you be judged.
Finally, you're not mad that four players are losing (because six are going to lose, and Turkey or Austria are still relatively unscathed to this point), you're mad at Italy because you're going to lose, which is, again, not Italy's fault, it is your own. Your tactical prowess was not what it should have been, and your diplomatic relations left something to be desired. Let this be a learning experience.
13 Nov 09 UTC Autumn, 1904: P.S. I still think you have a dog in this fight, Italy! My opening statement was rhetorical.
13 Nov 09 UTC Autumn, 1904: man, shut up, England and France have already stated their intent to draw and not go for the win, regardless of the fact that diplomacy is a game with 1 winner and 6 losers. So outside of the spirit of the game, in this draw with half the board style of play, by losing the stalemate line, all 4 of us have effectively lost.
13 Nov 09 UTC Autumn, 1904: Did I miss something? Because the game is still going on. The Western Triple is not necessarily going to win. You guys have a great chance against us, if you'd stop complaining and focus on some strategy. Two of you are really good, experienced players. The other two seem to be holding their own just fine and can really help you guys. So stop worrying about what may or may not happen if some specific person wins...because that's self-fulfilling prophecy. If you become convinced you're going to lose, then you WILL LOSE. Negative feelings don't help anything, ever! So stop worrying about what we might do, and focus on what you're going to do. This game isn't over...there's still a lot of fight left in all of us. So good luck to everyone. =))) TRY TO HAVE FUN!!!!
14 Nov 09 UTC Autumn, 1904: I know some of you like to wait until the last minute. Well, this is it! This is the last minute!
14 Nov 09 UTC Autumn, 1904: And we'll lift up our glasses against evil forces singin', Whiskey for my man! Beer for my horses!
15 Nov 09 UTC Autumn, 1904: Change came in disguise of revelation, set his soul on fire....
15 Nov 09 UTC Spring, 1905: For all that may be Italy in the future and wondering how to play a good anti-France opening, this is a good game to look at: http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=14476
Admittedly, the situation is somewhat ideal for Italy, but still a good game. One of my favorite moves is A(Tun-NAf). Really great play.
17 Nov 09 UTC Spring, 1905: damn...
17 Nov 09 UTC Spring, 1905: can we tone down the level of sass in global chat?
17 Nov 09 UTC Autumn, 1905: We are miracle whip... and we will not tone it down.
18 Nov 09 UTC Autumn, 1905: I do hope Russia realizes that going CD intentionally is unsportsmanlike and frustrating to other players. He made a big deal about Italy's misstep a few turns ago. I sure do hope he doesn't intentionally make that same mistake.
18 Nov 09 UTC Autumn, 1905: I have a feeling people just get busy. I'm sure he'll show up in time to put his moves in. And if he doesn't, I have a hard time believing that it would be intentional or malicious... Sometimes you just get busy...
18 Nov 09 UTC Autumn, 1905: So...is the game not phasing for anyone else?
19 Nov 09 UTC Autumn, 1905: I think they added an additional phase length... my other game has it as well.
19 Nov 09 UTC Autumn, 1905: Uh... that's odd. I guess if you sign in, finalize your moves and we can continue. Because I remember seeing earlier today this game having the "NOW" for when moves were due.
20 Nov 09 UTC Autumn, 1905: Could someone ask Austria to finalize moves?
20 Nov 09 UTC Autumn, 1905: Austria, could you please finalize moves?
20 Nov 09 UTC Autumn, 1905: this game is getting interesting.
23 Nov 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: all quite on the eastern front....
24 Nov 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: Ariel is always in places with not internet access. Its been a book game Guys! i've got one more year in me... anyone need support?
24 Nov 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: book??? what am i typing? that supposed to be good*
24 Nov 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: You're not dying, Russia. There's no way I would let you go down so easily.
25 Nov 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: hey guys! Do you think we could arrange a pause for thanksgiving break? Sorry...I'm just extremely family oriented and I don't think I'll have enough time to get to this. If we can that would be awesome and you guys rock!!! (though you kinda rock either way. ^_^)
25 Nov 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: This is America. We kill you in your sleep, on Christmas. Turkey day is all about manipulating Indians for food before we kill them, I think this game is suiting.
25 Nov 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: I am willing to pause the game, especially since I'm running into the same kind of thing here. Btw, no one invite Allen over for Christmas...
25 Nov 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: Yeah. Agreed. I'll make sure I'm very far away for Christmas...
25 Nov 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: Vote for a pause
29 Nov 09 UTC Spring, 1907: Vote for an unpause! :-)
04 Dec 09 UTC Spring, 1908: Tell Turkey to submit orders!!
04 Dec 09 UTC Spring, 1908: We can continue this game if he will.
04 Dec 09 UTC Spring, 1908: holy crap...
04 Dec 09 UTC Spring, 1908: They stabbed first.... I KNEW three armies was a tip off.
04 Dec 09 UTC Spring, 1908: technically, I think we stabbed at the same time....
04 Dec 09 UTC Autumn, 1908: France is right.
04 Dec 09 UTC Autumn, 1908: But your stab worked and mine was only into Trieste and (an attempt at) North Sea. And where is Turkey??
06 Dec 09 UTC Spring, 1909: Sorry, been moving into new place, plus exams studying. Just been a really tumultuous time.
11 Dec 09 UTC Autumn, 1910: Look at me now! Submitting moves like a mofo
16 Dec 09 UTC ?! I wasn't supposed to get 18 SCs that turn! Say what???
