15 Aug 14 UTC Spring, 1901: Greetings! Overall layout commands - When you click on a country above this message area, it takes you to a private messaging system with just that country.

To enter your moves, change your moves to what you want them to be under the map, and hit 'save'. When you do that, it will change your action status to a grey checkmark. It will be a red '!!' if you do not have any orders submitted. To submit your orders and progress to the next turn, hit 'ready'. It will change the status to a green checkmark. When everyone is ready the turn will progress. You can always go back after you hit 'ready' by hitting 'not ready'. Just mark sure you save if you change your command or it won't hold.

Nino, Adam, and Bump have all played before so they can give any advice\tips.

Please ask any questions about mechanics if they are unclear. Moving into a country cancels all support actions they are giving, unless that support action is to kill the country that is attacking it. Fleets can convoy armies, so there is a convoy option for a fleet when available.
15 Aug 14 UTC Spring, 1901: Remember, you gain control of a SC by controlling it after the Autumn turn. This is the spring turn now, autumn is the following one (no summer of winter turn).
15 Aug 14 UTC Spring, 1901: The best advice/tip is for everyone to attack Italy.
15 Aug 14 UTC Spring, 1901: My best advice is to leave italy alone. We are vengeful.

Also to talk to your allies and coordinate what you are doing. YOu can't win without allies. The more trust you have the better you can do, but the more you are open to being backstabbed.
15 Aug 14 UTC Spring, 1901: Austria is willing to be allies. PM me, let's make this work.
15 Aug 14 UTC Spring, 1901: Austria is already my ally so don't bother. We're invading England together.
15 Aug 14 UTC Spring, 1901: Austria is already my ally so don't bother. We're invading England together.
16 Aug 14 UTC Spring, 1901: If you hit the 'refresh' button on your browser, it will send through any message you just sent through. So Don't use the refresh button to update the page. Use the 'board' button at the top.

And I'm allies with everyone. As long as they give me SC.
17 Aug 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: Treachery!
18 Aug 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: If anyone is bored and wants to read a lot of people discussing tips and advice, I found "http://webdiplomacy.net/forum.php?viewthread=1169590#1169590" to be a somewhat helpful thread. The forum on this site is a bit screwy, but that should link to a thread re: advice to new players. I learned a lot reading it.
19 Aug 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: on a side note - if you miss 2 turns your country goes into civil disorder (CD) and you exit the game. All the orders for the remaining armies are 'hold'. You can reenter the game, but you have to repay the entrance fee.
19 Aug 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: <cough> Turkey <cough>
19 Aug 14 UTC Spring, 1902: Its great we have 2 days to make our turns, but if at all possible, PLEASE play before then.
20 Aug 14 UTC Spring, 1902: Sorry guys. When I failed to get myself into the build turn, I kinda forgot about everything for a day. My apologies, it shan't happen again.
21 Aug 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: I think we should all split up England. He has 6 territories in England, and there are 6 of us. Dibs on Clyde.
21 Aug 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: lol

21 Aug 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: copy paste?
22 Aug 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: Treachery! Enjoy your short term victory, Italy (and Austria and France). I will retake Munich and soon the world will rejoice at the sight of German tanks rolling through the streets of Rome. Ihre Tage sind gezählt.
24 Aug 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: Gonna be an extra fun LONG game...
25 Aug 14 UTC Spring, 1903: I heard that sauerkraut is good this time of year. I recommend everyone go to Germany to find out.
25 Aug 14 UTC Spring, 1903: Funny, I thought it was pasta season. Aren't the Italian spaghetti trees in full bloom?
25 Aug 14 UTC Spring, 1903: The flying spaghetti monster ate them :(
27 Aug 14 UTC Autumn, 1903: Ready up!!
29 Aug 14 UTC Autumn, 1904: I see what's going on here.. We're all supposed to fight Austria? Why didn't anybody tell me?
29 Aug 14 UTC Autumn, 1904: What? I thought we were all supposed to fight Italy. I've been playing this all wrong ...
29 Aug 14 UTC Autumn, 1904: One of those statements is true... :P
29 Aug 14 UTC Autumn, 1904: zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
04 Sep 14 UTC Spring, 1905: Frraaaaaannnnnnceeee.....
10 Sep 14 UTC Autumn, 1906: ....................................................................................................................... >:(
12 Sep 14 UTC Spring, 1907: I want all the SCs!!!
16 Sep 14 UTC Spring, 1908: Is there a way to just concede and end it?
16 Sep 14 UTC Spring, 1908: All of us would have to vote for Draw. Which, right now, wont happen. :)
16 Sep 14 UTC Spring, 1908: Or, if you want out you could just miss 2 phases and your country will go into civil disorder. I would advise against that since it would literally make the rest of us wait 2 turns of 48 hours. yes, it has happened before. No, it wasn't fun. :P
16 Sep 14 UTC Spring, 1908: Just skip two turns if you're done. No way to drop mid-game other than that.
22 Sep 14 UTC Autumn, 1910: I'm in this til the end (which should be about 1-2 more turns for me), but is there any point in continuing? If Italy and Austria are content to share a victory, then the game is pretty well over. But it could be a lot of fun if you turn each other . :)
