01 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2011: [Kenya]:How can Libya not be salivating at my wide open backside? He's just that kind of guy ;)
01 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2011: [Libya]:Eh, I definitely have the advantage in Africa, now. But I don't think I can actually make much progress without Quebec causing me too much trouble to make it worth it... we're ultimately in a pretty good balance of power, which is why I support the draw. That said, I'm definitely going to make some probing attacks to see if I'm wrong. ;)
01 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2011: [Quebec]:Is anyone taking out Pac Rus?
01 Jul 14 UTC Spring, 2012: [Kenya]:I think he'll hang around a while, I only see fleets over there plus some opportunities for him to expand eastward. Not opposed to bringing him into a draw scenario.
01 Jul 14 UTC Spring, 2012: [Pacific-Russia]:I'm not attacking Oz, so I'm willing to draw.
01 Jul 14 UTC Spring, 2012: [Libya]:Uh oh, Oz accidentally blocked my move so now it will be a whole extra turn before Pacific Russia is out.
01 Jul 14 UTC Spring, 2012: [Libya]:Oh, nevermind, I thought Oz was going to go to Beijing and Gua but he hadnobody who could go to Gua...
01 Jul 14 UTC Spring, 2012: [Pacific-Russia]:Don't kill me please. I want to stay through the draw.
01 Jul 14 UTC Spring, 2012: [Pacific-Russia]:That means you Quebec and Libya.
01 Jul 14 UTC Spring, 2012: [Quebec]:How can Quebec kill Pac Rus?
01 Jul 14 UTC Spring, 2012: [Pacific-Russia]:click draw i mean
01 Jul 14 UTC Spring, 2012: [Quebec]:ah, no
02 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2012: [Kenya]:There won't be a draw, unless it's between Libya and Quebec I now see. There's too much to give up for both of them if they simply draw with weaker players. I'll play through this turn but can't say it's worth it to me to keep logging in for retreat orders. That's right, I'm taking my ball and going to that place where everyone else went.
02 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2012: [Quebec]:I honestly want Pac Rus out. then draw. i will draw no problem with Oz, Libya, and you. I just dont want a person with 1 SC to be included in the draw.
02 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2012: [Kenya]:Right. It's just annoying that everyone else involved got all paranoid and/or greedy, ya bunch of sociopaths
02 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2012: [Pacific-Russia]:Oh come on.
02 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2012: [Libya]:I wouldn't be so sure. Though obviously it advantages myself (as well as Quebec) if Kenya stops playing it would also either help or kill Oz (depending on how quickly he can get to Antarctica's SCs). If Kenya keeps playing I'm not actually so sure that he'd just slowly get killed-- if Quebec or I seriously attacked one another for any reason then it'd shift the balance again, and Oz could quite possibly cause enough trouble for one or another of us that it ends up in the 4-way draw we originally talked about. If Kenya leaves then I think a 3-way is more likely.
02 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2012: [Quebec]:Either way, the first step is Pac Rus.
02 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2012: [Oz]:I'm convoying armies now. Will be there next round.
02 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2012: [Kenya]:That's a cute scenario. But as we've learned, no draw is worth taking easy territories. Once Libya swallows up Africa, he's only 6 SCs away from victory. I don't think it'll be easy to walk away from that into a happy fun time 3-way draw. He's already in the Arctic Circle and is closer to Antarctica than Oz, moves-wise.
02 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2012: [Pacific-Russia]:I think Libya should go for a win. More exciting. Either way, I give up to you guys.
02 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2012: [Libya]:Quebec-- I hope you don't take too harshly to my moves in Greenland. I'm actually trying to pull back from the Arctic in a safe way. It seems to have worked out.
02 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2012: [Kenya]:Yeah, I'll let you guys hash it out too. Twas fun for a little while.
02 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2012: [Libya]:Yeah, good game Kenya.
02 Jul 14 UTC Spring, 2013: [Quebec]:I still do not think that we will get to Antartica in time
03 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2013: [Quebec]:GAAAAHHHHH!!! I cant tell the difference between me and Kenya.
03 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2013: [Pacific-Russia]:It's somewhat entertaining watching Libya swallow up everything.
03 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2013: [Libya]:Yeah Quebec I had that issue too.
10 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2015: [Libya]:Please pause, I'm on a road trip
13 Jul 14 UTC Spring, 2016: [Pacific-Russia]:Yeah I was too.
14 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2016: [Libya]:Please pause, the area I'm now entering really has no internet access for long ways and I cannot guarantee my moves. I realize that as the strongest player you'd like a few turns to catch up but I'm fairly certain it's against the rules of the game to purposefully refuse a pause for in-game
Advantage.
14 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2016: [Quebec]:Libya, here is the Pause rules.

5. The Pause/Unpause feature is not a diplomatic tool
The pause is there to stop players from missing their orders, but is not part of the game. As such pausing or unpausing should not be used for diplomatic gain, such as refusing to unpause unless other players will draw the game. If it is being abused staff may step in to sort it out.

The pause button cannot be used as a diplomatic tool and should not be used for anything other than indicating the need for a pause. If you need a pause in a gunboat game that was not agreed upon before the game, email the moderators before voting to pause. The moderators will post in the global press asking for a pause. The other players are not obligated to pause in this situation, and force pauses will not be granted except in emergency situations until the moderators can find someone to watch your account. Please try to plan ahead and avoid the need for pauses if possible.
14 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2016: [Libya]:as far as I can tell im following the rules while others are not pausing for diplomatic gain. It's certainly against the spirit of the rules and not good gamesmanship.
14 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2016: [Quebec]:I am not pausing because this road trip of yours seems to be planned. If this is the case, then you should have not started the game to begin with.
14 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2016: [Oz]:Well while writing these you could've easily set up orders and since you are 1 sc away from winning that would've caused the end of the game.
14 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2016: [Pacific-Russia]:Curses!
14 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2016: [Quebec]:Well Kenya had to be a little bitch ;)
14 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2016: (2ndWhiteLine): I've decided to grant a pause in this game since due to the small number of players left in this game as well as the denial of a pause being used for diplomatic gain. Quebec, asking for a pause due to planned lack of internet access in no way constitutes a violation of the site rules for pauses. Being that Libya is so close to a solo, in my opinion the denial of a pause in an attempt to prevent a solo also falls under that rule. If you have any questions, please email webdipmod@gmail.com.
14 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2016: [Kenya]:Everyone else is, why shouldn't I be able to have any fun :D
14 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2016: [Quebec]:2WL, perhaps i can give my point of view on this situation. this vacation of Libya's was obviously planned. why should players be allowed to join a game that they know they may not be able to finish by the time they go on vacation with no internet access? Now everyone has to wait for Libya to come back from his vacation to finish this game. I also want to mention to you how I was not the only one refusing to pause. EVERY SINGLE PLAYER OTHER THAN LIBYA refused to pause. perhaps because they see my point of view on this subject. I also want to point out a rule on the site too. It says "The other players are not obligated to pause in this situation. Please try to plan ahead and avoid the need for pauses if possible." Obviously, this lacks an inability to plan on Libya's part. Why should the remaining players be punished because Libya cannot plan ahead? If you want my suggestion to make this the fairest for everyone playing the game, Libya should find someone to watch his account, or at least this game. Like you said yourself, this game is almost over, so let's finish it.
17 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2016: [Kenya]:Quebec, Libya's called for a Draw, let's go home
17 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2016: [Quebec]:Id rather Pac Rus make his destroy then I am drawing.
21 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2016: [Libya]:"Why should the remaining players be punished because Libya cannot plan ahead?" Yeah, waiting for a few days is such a terrible punishment.
21 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2016: [Libya]:I also did get a sitter, but its not like I can just instantly do so. I have no way of planning exactly when I have or do not have internet access on this sort of trip, and attempted to keep playing for as long as possible. I also had no method of knowing how long this game would last-- when I started the game this trip hadn't even been planned!
22 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2016: [Quebec]:The fucking unpause Libya. This is getting ridiculous.
23 Jul 14 UTC Autumn, 2016: [Libya]:Sorry my sitter hasn't used the site before and didnt know to unpause. Jeez. Just a game, buddy.
25 Jul 14 UTC [Oz]:Lybia srsly... If you can't set commands, hit that damn pause button..
26 Jul 14 UTC [Oz]:Okay.. so draw now?
26 Jul 14 UTC [Oz]:I think i deserve it after this long struggle.
26 Jul 14 UTC [Quebec]:Yeah, we draw.
