12 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1901: Hello, one and all. I am really hoping for a good, fun game with diplomacy and no missed moves. Good luck to all of us.
13 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1901: So am I! It would be nice if we didn't spend 7 days on EVERY term but I made it so the time is there if someone needs it!
14 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1901: Well, we have moves from everyone but France. We have a long deadline, but it would surely make me feel better to see something from him. I would REALLY like to have all seven players in this one.
14 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1901: If France doesn't submit, I call dibs on his stuff.
14 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1901: Hey, no fair. The damn teleport won't send Ottoman "emmissaries" to visit France.
15 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1901: The lack of French correspondence is alarming. Not that I can do much about it, but it would be a real downer if he/she does not participate. I am very happy with the correspondence from all the other players, which makes me believe this could be a really fun game. Sigh. C'mon, France. Get with the program.
15 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1901: It is a shame. However, I would still consider continuing the game simply because of the great crowd we have.
15 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1901: We've still got a full three days, so it's still very possible that he shows up.

If he doesn't, I'd actually vote that someone create a new password-protected game with the same parameters and invite everyone who showed, then advertise for the 7th player on the forum. I'm not a big fan of playing through games with CDs, especially if they happen in 1901.
15 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1901: And all of our fears have been laid to rest. O, the beauty of long phases...
17 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1901: Indeed. I hope him being behind on negotiations doesn't hurt him in the game. We seem to have a good crew.
17 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1901: I don't think it will. Because we have such a good crew.
26 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: Hope we don't see English NMR. Gosh, was hoping to play in a good game with lots of negotiations in a relaxed deadline.
27 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: An English dislodgement in the North Sea can actually turn in to a build, if he returns to claim it. Hate the NMR. This game showed so much promise. Well, hopefully the rest of us will continue to make it fun.
27 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: If a player CDs in '01 I'd like to post on the forums to try and find a replacement. That will ruin the anonymity of the game a bit (if I post on the forum, everyone will know who I am). Would we prefer to handle it that way? I hate playing games with no-show players and tend to draw them if we can't find a replacement (even if the absent player benefits me). It sounds like Turkey prefers to play--anyone else want to weigh in?
28 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: I would prefer to play.
29 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: Same here.
29 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: That seems the majority. Play it out it is. Should we advertise for a replacement?
30 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: I don't like the chances of someone taking over an England that is weak and about to be crushed by an alliance. But you can try!
03 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: Well, it's official. It seems awfully childish to abandon a game in '01 because it didn't open the way you wanted it to, but such is life.

I'll stay off the forums because Germany makes a good point--finding a replacement to play 7-day phases with a really difficult position won't be too easy. Considering the open, England probably wasn't long for this game anyway--perhaps it won't affect the game too badly.
04 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: Hi all. The English Queen abdicated after discovering the Franco-German alliance, so I the Lord Protector have taken the reins of the Union and shall sail her to oblivion with grace.
04 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: Good luck, and Thank you. You MIGHT be able to find some help, though it will be difficult.
09 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: Can people finalize their orders?
09 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: Sorry, still doing some diplomacy.
17 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: And now Turkey has missed...this is starting to get messy.
17 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: How ever do you miss a week-long phase?
22 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: Because with a week between turns, it's easy enough to forget you're playing.
10 Mar 14 UTC Spring, 1903: With two CDs and replacements (England and Turkey), this game is awfully messy. Halfway through this phase, we still have three nations who haven't submitted any press--at least not to me--or orders. I don't think that the game is very fun when only half of the players are playing...I'm putting up a draw and cancel vote. If people aren't going to play, we should end the game--I don't really care the method we choose to end it.
05 Apr 14 UTC Autumn, 1903: Forget about this game for two weeks or more...come back, and there's been no progress.

I've also voted for the draw/cancel, and suggest we all do. I doubt I'll ever play a game with week-long deadlines again.
09 Apr 14 UTC Spring, 1904: I love a game with week-long phases if you can find seven people dedicated to playing it through, not losing interest, and hitting "Ready" instead of "Save" when it's appropriate. That's the difficulty, though. We have a few actively playing, a few who will at least submit orders once a phase (but little more), and a few CDs.
