21 Oct 09 UTC Spring, 1911: And what about ME turkey?
21 Oct 09 UTC Spring, 1911: No idea. Like I said. You're probably some noob we've never heard of. At any rate, I'll be avoiding you in the future.
21 Oct 09 UTC Spring, 1911: If France is who I think he is....and I don't know for sure...but if he is....then he is a pretty decent player with a good percentage of wins.
21 Oct 09 UTC Spring, 1911: No decent player has the mentality "I'm content to get a survive".

Decent players play for the win, and that's all they play for. Anyone who plays otherwise, I don't respect.
21 Oct 09 UTC Spring, 1911: Turkey...you should consider what shoes other people are wearing. I find that statement completely compatible in France's situation and his ability at the same time to play for the win. As Austria has pointed out....my gains are severely limited at this time. France is positioned to gain the most. Why would he not continue making gains in an area that he can instead of trying to militarize a border that is already demilitarized...(relatively).

Considering my position...I should have been dead given the opening. I expect that France will try to solo....but I hope that he will rather agree to draw. I just can't turn on someone who sacrificed his gains to keep me alive. He will have to attack me first...not that I won't prepare to defend against it. =)
21 Oct 09 UTC Spring, 1911: Anyone who doesn't contribute to helping stop the player who's soloing is a moron.

Your pretty words are great, but France is 6 centers behind you. I'm just glad he now realizes what he needs to do. Thanks France. And good luck. Now we get to deal with Italy.
21 Oct 09 UTC Spring, 1911: Damn, Sugarland....I needed one more year. Nice move. :p

And I actually had DEN going to KIE until you changed your mind about VEN. I hate having to study the board again for a new plan after I spent so much time on the previous one.

I guess it could be worse. I could still be Austria.
21 Oct 09 UTC Spring, 1911: Turkey -- Thanks for having faith in me. Did you really think I would come out and say "Sorry Germany, but I'll be moving against you next turn"?
21 Oct 09 UTC Spring, 1911: Germany -- Sorry to do it, but its part of the game. We'll see how it goes from here.
21 Oct 09 UTC Spring, 1911: Interesting...
But I still believe it was our screams that made you do it.
Or was it a coincidence that it happened right after that?
:P
21 Oct 09 UTC Spring, 1911: Maybe France isn't as stupid as I thought. :-)
21 Oct 09 UTC Spring, 1911: Still not sure we can stop Germany though.
21 Oct 09 UTC Spring, 1911: You are welcome to think that Austria, however, for the entirety of the past 24 hours (or so) I have understood the importance of moving towards Germany. Stating my desire to draw was an important aspect of the diplomacy of this turn, as was telling Germany I wanted Liverpool and then "changing my mind", leading him to believe I have put serious thought into our plan.
21 Oct 09 UTC Spring, 1911: So France...can you confirm or deny that you are Thucydides?
22 Oct 09 UTC Spring, 1911: France...I think I must have been the only one who did believe you would move against me. I am pretty sure the only noobs were England and Russia. I was hoping for one more year though....and why did I change my move from Kiel to Denmark???? I was going to move NS back to Edinburg and have DEN and NOR self bounce so that EDI and NOR could self bounce while DEN moved to KIE.....ONE MORE YEAR....LOL!!! I think you moved at the best time...next year and I think I had you. Kudos. Kinda rains on my thought out move to retreat Trieste to Vienna, though :(

Austria....Unfortunately, I think is really a terrible development for you. You had a shot at forming a stalemate line in the north...though probably not in the south.

Turkey....Do you want to come to some agreed upon line? I don't expect to have much desire other than keeping what I have and retaking MOS.
22 Oct 09 UTC Spring, 1911: if you consider a terrible development that I got mos then I suppose you are right
22 Oct 09 UTC Spring, 1911: Are you serious? You lost WAR and will not be able to keep MOS...and Turkey no longer has any incentive to keep you in the game.
22 Oct 09 UTC Spring, 1911: Germany -- I cannot confirm or deny your statement. :S
22 Oct 09 UTC Spring, 1911: that was the best anyone could in my shoes. Even getting mos for a turn was a tactical success under the circumstances. You were just outsmarted.
22 Oct 09 UTC Spring, 1911: I don't stab my allies unless it's going to benefit me.
22 Oct 09 UTC Spring, 1911: Nor do I, Turkey
22 Oct 09 UTC Turkey: my moves for this turn can be easily guessed
what are you going to do about ita in aeg?
as you know, you can cover tri with adr and use ser, alb and con to cover bul, gre, con and smy. but 1 of them will stay unprotected.
Italy: my congrats for the ion-aeg manouvre. But will you be lucky enough to spot the weak point?
france: too bad you can only gain 1 sc after your movements revealed that you are going to stab
Germany: no comments, just stop spamming the chat :p
22 Oct 09 UTC France: Can you support me to Venice from Adr? You can't take Rome anyway...
22 Oct 09 UTC Turkey -- I trust you will bounce Germany in Naples?
22 Oct 09 UTC Sorry Turkey -- I sent my last message before I saw yours. I'm not sure what to do here. Germany does have the opportunity of taking Naples.
22 Oct 09 UTC what about adr-ven with tri and tus support while tyrr-nap (ITA) and ion-apu?
22 Oct 09 UTC This would have to be well coordinated...
22 Oct 09 UTC Please support me into Venice from Adr. I will cover Naples from Germany. We will take one of these two centers, be it from Italy or Germany.
22 Oct 09 UTC I am not going to disclose my moves, for reasons that will become clear. Simply support me in from Adr. I'll do the rest.
23 Oct 09 UTC Turkey: you can take Nap while I take Con ok? I just want to escape from france so that I can survive the game
23 Oct 09 UTC well, there is an easy way out. Just vote draw :P
23 Oct 09 UTC Well, I was going to refuse to draw with Italy in the game, but in hindsight, he has played well, and stuck through it all, so I'll draw now.
23 Oct 09 UTC Up to France now. Assuming Italy doesn't have a problem with being included...
23 Oct 09 UTC Isn't it you, Turkey, who said a draw does nothing? I guess I'm a bit confused about what a draw would do.
23 Oct 09 UTC a draw does the same whether it's a PPSC or a WTA game. Since we are 5 left it will be like each one gained 36/5=7.2 scs
23 Oct 09 UTC Hmm... well I'm actually having fun with this game right now :)
23 Oct 09 UTC Just for the record...I quietly voted draw prior to France's stab. I play the PP games just for the fun of it. And this has been a very fun game, whether I win lose or draw.
23 Oct 09 UTC The only reason I would vote draw is to know everyone's identity... but I don't want to see this game end!
23 Oct 09 UTC Curiosity killed the cat
23 Oct 09 UTC I know you did Germany. I seriously think you're Ursa. You play a lot like him. (I've played 2 PP with him.)

Generally, I hate drawing. I play for the win. But I consider PP/Gunboat/Live games to be entirely different. Since they're not "real" games, I'm more than willing to draw with anyone who's played well...

And FYI, I totally ROCKED that turn.
23 Oct 09 UTC Italy: Here's my offer. Disband instead of retreating to Ion, and I'll ensure, to whatever extent I can, that you are included in the inevitable draw.
23 Oct 09 UTC Turkey your moves were exactly the same as the ones I suggested
Btw you wouldn't take ven if apu was attacking ven or supporting tyr-ven
Ursa is a girl
23 Oct 09 UTC I didn't know Ursa is a girl. W.e.

Were they? I didn't remember you suggesting those. And I would have, unless he supported into ven, in which case I was guaranteed Naples, or France Rome.
23 Oct 09 UTC Well, I've had a fun time with this game. I think I'm content with a draw. I just wanted to see that turn. My vote is in, its up to Italy.
23 Oct 09 UTC Cool....I think rlumley is the only player in the game that I have played with before. Nice playing with all of you....especially The Big Doak....thanks for your help, bro.
23 Oct 09 UTC Heh... Didn't I guess you were SoW at some point Germany? :-)

At any rate. I was right. Austria was hellalt, and France was some noob we've never heard of. :-P
23 Oct 09 UTC Maybe never heard of me but I wouldn't say I'm a noob. Thanks for a great game guys!
23 Oct 09 UTC We can't really consider a noob someone with 40% draw percentage.
I'm really shocked Turkey was you Rlumley. What a troll you are! hahahah. Fucking unbelievable!
24 Oct 09 UTC Hahahaha... I like playing with you hellalt, but I'd be a fool to do it outside of anon games. :-)
24 Oct 09 UTC Don't worry. I'm inclined to ally with people I fight at Forums. I have allied with Draugnar in the past.
