14 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1901: I blame the Turks. Or the French. Always the Turks or the French.
14 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1901: Just a quick announcement, I'm traveling tomorrow and will be more or less incommunicado from 7:30 AM Central time until the end of the turn. So basically if you send me any correspondence after t minus 11 hours, I'm likely not going to see it.
14 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1901: I seriously can't believe Portugal insulted Russia like that. I, for one, would not stand for such an offense.
14 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1901: Luckily it was in Portuguese, and nobody east of... Portugal... speaks Portuguese.
19 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1902: ya know, guys, the only stable alliance we've seen in this game is England/Germany with a combined total of 10 centers.
19 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1902: My alliance with Turkey is rock solid
19 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1902: ^
19 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1902: America is my friend.
19 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1902: You must have no oil, love "freedom," and agree to harass foreign nationals traveling through your country on behalf of the NSA.
20 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1902: I'm pretty sure my country fails on all of those counts.
20 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1902: Well, then, you better get ready to get Liberated, Russia... America style!
22 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1903: Who wants to ready up?
22 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1903: when you set your retreats, just ready up to go to the next phase please
22 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1903: It's about fucking time. Obv this guarantees you victory. Idiot won't even see it coming.
22 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1903: ...
22 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1903: ...
22 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1903: ...
22 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1903: ...
22 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1903: So how long before Russia wins?
22 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1903: im confused
23 Aug 13 UTC Spring, 1904: If you need me I'll be in my bunker.
25 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1904: Here comes the 2 fleet build. gg
25 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1904: Fleets are for liberating Turkey from the Czar. Why build more fleets now?
25 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1904: How did this trade come about? "I'll support you into rum while I get Munich, Smyrna, Con" "I know I'm at 6 and you're at 4, but I should gain 50% more dots than I have while you gain 20%"
25 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1904: Allow me to read aloud from the rules of Diplomacy, 4th edition (2000).
"As soon as one Great Power controls 18 supply centers, it is considered to have gained control of Europe. The player representing that Great Power is the winner. However, players can end the game by agreement before a winner is determined. In this case, all players who still have pieces on the board share equally in a draw"
Allow me to draw attention to the fact that a draw is not a win. Only someone controlling 18 centers wins. Everyone else loses.
25 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1904: So is Russia offering to end this here and now with a Draw?
25 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1904: The trade worked because it was 25% for Austria. :-D

Also, regarding 2 fleet build, I should have said, "SHIPS START HERE." I will regret missing that opportunity the rest of my days.
25 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1904: lawl@25%
Notice Italy making fun of my mathskillz and your dot count at the same time, Austria.
25 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1904: Can we get some lock ins so the turn ends tonight at some time convenient for people for the rest of the week? If we let it go to its default end time, it'll be like 9am central.
25 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1904: I'm just thinking of everyone else who doesn't work from home. Russia, a friend of the working class.
25 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1904: I'm in favor. I'll be happy to lock in last so it happens some time after 6 or 7pm Eastern.
25 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1904: Italy, bourgeois poser *pretending* to take up the cause of the working classes. Don't be fooled fellow workers of the world. Italy means to have you in chains.
25 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1904: Italy makes no such pretensions. Italy just hates waking up early in the morning to do diplomacy, and Italy teaches classes at 6pm central, so anything after 7pm Eastern will suck for Italy.
26 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1904: Click ready when building folks. Holding up the game yo.
27 Aug 13 UTC Spring, 1905: I can't win. But nobody's ever gone the distance with the Champ. If I can go the distance, If I'm standing when the the bell rings, I'll know I'm somebody.
27 Aug 13 UTC Spring, 1905: I'm just an Italian Scallion.
27 Aug 13 UTC Spring, 1905: Hmm, I think England should perk up. Struggling with you and Italy I have managed to obtain 5 dots. While being a devoted ally of yours has yielded England .... 4. Only capitalism has managed to hurt the working class in England worse.
27 Aug 13 UTC Spring, 1905: The English do not embrace the Italian lifestyle. They prefer their Earl Grey Tea and crumpets to wine and cannolis. Whaddya gonna do?
27 Aug 13 UTC Spring, 1905: Apparently, they also like their Vodka.
27 Aug 13 UTC Spring, 1905: I know it was you Russia. You broke my heart.
You broke my heart.
28 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: FIN.
28 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: I've submitted orders, but I'm going to hold on advancing turn for the afternoon, since I know that's much better for people. I'm not dragging simply because I can.
28 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: I'll click draw now but by clicking draw I mean "Italy and Austria 2 way and I vote to eliminate myself." Since Webdip won't let you vote yourself out of a draw "officially," I have no choice but to do it this way.
The only difference between this and a real Austria/Italy 2 way is the bullshit meaningless webdip points that no one (except France maybe) cares about.
I would appreciate it if all players on the board would post a message to global acknowledging Italy and Austria's 2 way win and clicking draw to end the game.
28 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: The basis for this system is tournament diplomacy rules and saving time. It's really hard to come to a real 2-way in Web-dip because you have to eliminate all but 2 players without 1 of them soloing. In real life, tournament diplomacy, you have the option at any time to call a vote for a draw between ANY players remaining in the game. I like this system, and want to save time by using it. It's a waste of my time to play this game out unless I or A stab each other.
28 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: England won't vote draw she is obviously soloing this game, right?
28 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: Rofl
29 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: I am also willing to concede victory to Austria/Italy 2 way. Nobody else considered part of the draw.
30 Aug 13 UTC England didn't build?!?! Italy solo inc.
30 Aug 13 UTC Sucks for Germany, though.
03 Sep 13 UTC That it does.
